This system would have to be the stupidest idea known to man ...to start giving players so much freedom with classes etc causing alot of fail groups .. 15 min penalty.. not having a accept or reject after queued to go into the dungeon causing afk.. but the upscale of lowbies stats on low lvl players for the big BOOT more often than not... there is so many ideas to fix this BUT the first should be to just ditch the penalty its bullsh.t.. Whoever signed off on that idea should be shot!!

The people at 500+ now have been playing this game since before they handed out CP like candy.

We worked harder then OP could imagine in the old days to beat vet dungeons.

If you don't want to take the time to get 160cp and start gearing up, don't expect to be carried threw the hardest content in the game.

Levels don't mean everything though. I have had to kick people 500+ In Vwgt for refusing to use range on the portals after the 5th wipe.

Maybe read a review of the Vet rank system written last year. Learn to be grateful your path to end-game has been one giant hand-hold.

    Cheers!

I wait 45 minutes in que only to be kicked and then receive a 15 minute penalty. I just waited in que this morning and finally got into a group. I join the voice channel and hear someone say to the others, we could do this a lot faster if we drop the level 80 and get a 400-500. Another guy says "you don't wanna just see what happens first?" Then I tell them I been to this place several times and know all the strats. They ignore me and then I hear someone say "oh come on you really wanna do that?" "Yeah come on it'll be faster just do it."
Then BAM I'm removed from group with the message my group members voted to kick me. It ports me out and I can't que cause of the penalty timer. No big deal had this happen a time or two before so I fish while I wait and then finally the penalty is over and I re-que. Wait about 10 minutes and get into a group but before I can even leave Grahtwood and port there one guy says we gonna do the normal and then the vet after? Someone else says yeah that's fine and then the first guy says well we need to drop this level 80 cause he won't be able to do the vet. I tell them I'll leave after the normal but 5 seconds later I get removed from the group and PENALTY AGAIN!

You know, it's really enough to make a person feel like crap cause I have very limited time to play the game. I only got to log in this morning cause my wife was at work but she will be home in a few minutes and I just wasted my gametime

lol xD. I got kicked from a normal crypt of shadows by a lvl 20 and a ;vl 30.

I solod everything for them up to dranos where we got stuck because they'd ignore his 1shot spin mehanic (hits for like 35k). Eventually I'd get tethered down when he'd be in execute range.

anyways, lvl 30 gor all pissed off I wasn't healing enough 1 shots even though he was qued as healer, amd me as dps.

You can't fix stupid, but zos keeps trying. Just remove all these antifeatures like group penalties.

maybe you should read the OP post better if where going to read how hard you guys had it!! random dungeon finder doesnt put you all at the same cp lvl FYI...The issue is that the penalty system is wrong to penalize everyone at 15 minutes because the elitist heros want to kick lowbie cp lvl players!! sometimes before even entering the dungeon!!

I remember getting kicked from groups all the time, I think the trick is to either find friends/group that will be willing to take you on and understand that you know the content. In the meantime doing quests or grinding to increase you cp wouldn't hurt, but on the time penalty thing it really does suck.

Yes sure. Thing is because he doesn't have the same opinion as them, they throw hate and insults (aka "bigot").

I also don't like it when people are kicking people because of CP but I'm not going to insult them for doing so, they likely won't change their ways.

My point is the game is amazing now, and I cant stand QQ post's like these...

Shouldn't ZOS be closing this "I quit" thread any minuet now?

Or have they finally diverted resources to in-game game GM's instead of just forum ones.

Hmm, I guess time will tell!

I don't read it as a quitting the game thread, more a quitting group finder for now because of the cooldown timer thread.

It's working better than it did (still ended up with a 5-person group with a heal/tank/dps and a dps/tank group shoved together for our Cradle of Shadows run today), but it still needs work, especially with the timer.

Sometimes the best bet is to switch characters and try again, too.

I don't think you read my post at all to be honest. You'd of seen that I was in a normal group, not a Vet dungeon. I que for normal randoms. Guilds are great and I'm in 2 of them but the hours I get to play are really random and most of the time I can't get a guild group going when I suddenly have 1.5 hours to play. I tend to get on around 2-3 a.m., 1-3 in the afternoon, etc.
Most of the guildies and players are in school during the day and asleep at 3am.

I came from playing WoW since day one of its release and I raided hardcore for 7 of those years. My wife and I were in a World ranked guild and I was #3 Warlock in the world so I know all about real hard work in a game. We took a year off work to spend 14 hours a day playing WoW, but we were sponsored so it wasn't too bad. We raided from 5pm-1a.m. nightly and many times on new content my guild made us stay all night until we defeated a boss or instance because to stay ranked we had to beat out other guilds doing the same thing. After 7 years my wife was burnt out and decided to leave to go back to school. I stayed playing for about another 6 months and then decided to leave as well because without her it just wasn't fun anymore.

After that I took a 3 year break from gaming until we bought a PS4 and I started to get back into games a bit.

Also to say my path in this game has been a giant handhold is just false! It took me 3 months to level to 50 when most people do it in a few weeks. I took my time to learn everything there is to learn and explore every nook and cranny of each new zone I came to. I have done every quest in every zone I have visited so far. I have looted every container, every keg, every basket, etc.
In dungeons I have the best gear for my level, I eat buff food, I put points into skills which help the group as a whole instead of being greedy and just thinking of my own needs. I run with a destro staff and a resto on back bar. I put a couple points into healing spells so I can throw a quick offheal in the event of an emergency in the group.

You say I didn't take time to get to 160cp but that is why I am running dungeons because the points come really fast as well as getting new gear. I went from a new level 50 to CP 80 in 3 days which is really good for me. I got 10 more CP tonight just doing quests so I'll be 160 in no time.

Would you like to hold my hand now :)

I'm sorry that happened to you OP, put them on your ignore list, you don't need that ***. If your on PS4 NA let me know ill add you and I'll give you a hand if you like.

People need to understand that when you use group finder, your essentially rolling the dice. I cannot wrap my head around the mentality of people who are expecting speed runs from group finder, that's not what it's for. If you want perfect speed runs, join a good dungeon guild and get a regular team together and go nuts.

Don't give me the "I've got a job, family etc so I don't have time for a slow run" *** excuse. If your time is short, don't use group finder, if you absolute need to use groups finder then manage your time better to the point where you can put aside a couple of hours to run a pug dungeon. If you can't, then don't do group content unless you got a guild that can help you out.

Then I occasionally hear "it's my time, I'll play with who I want" um no, you use group finder? You get what your given. If you absolutely don't want to run with the guys your given, then leave the group yourself, wear the time penalty and give the other 3 a chance to re-queue. Don't ruin three other people's day just because your an arrogant knob who thinks he's too good for what he was given.

As for the team of three kicking the random they don't want? Well again, that comes down to the risk you run using group finder. You want a good 4th for your speed run? Find someone outside of group finder.

OP I highly recommend you join a guild. I did and it's heaps better and more fun.

C'mon, you're bragging of how good you was, went through all the hardships and know how it is, and yet you are complaining about few kicks from the random groups!

So many people still thinks that more CP magically makes them good, while in dungeons they still struggle and cant do a ***.

just one of the MANY reasons I only run with guild mates and never use the group finder. All the group finder leads to are being dumped in with elitists who think anyone without 500 CP can't play, or people who expect the tank (my main is a tank) to do high DPS to make up for their subpar DPS and other such things. It is not worth bothering.

    Nonsense!
Most of pugs are fine, just few bad examples here and there happens - but that's life!
It always makes me frown though, when these people, who suggest others to find guild to run dungeons with, they assume that all good players are only in guilds and everyone who run with pugs are guildless! And like those guilds of yours are 100 % elitist free ha!

That is the problem. People are randomly queuing to get into a random group. You are just getting into a group of strangers that you do not know how they work or play, which oftentimes, again, people get frustrated, irked and then just leave in the middle of the dungeon or when they get killed by the boss and can't handle it. If you join a guild that does daily dungeon and pledge regularly, you wouldn't have such issues. You would know your other members and you will already be grouped up with your other members, and then queuing is always quick and without any issues. There are so many guilds that you can join. When you are with a guild, there is no need for any random queuing to get into any random group. My guild runs daily and regularly throughout the day any normal and vet dungeon and pledge, and we never have any issues with queuing or being penalized or have anyone leave in the middle of the dungeon. Heck, our queuing is almost always instantaneous or within a couple seconds. I'm still at awe as why people are still randomly queuing for a random group for a dungeon or pledge. It just boggles my mind!

THIS GUY GETS IT. It's a game, dudes and dudettes. Unless you're gunning for a spot on the leaderboards (in which case, you should really be running with a guild group anyway), there's really no reason to get bent out of shape if you wipe a few times with a PUG or, gasp, take slightly longer to finish a run than you would with a well-coordinated team. Kicking someone with low CP from a random normal is just childish. Complaining about "carrying" players and "hand holding" through random normals is just as childish.

Remember: IT'S A GAME. If you're treating this like a competitive sport, realize that you should run with like-minded people. Imagine someone like Lionel Messi showing up VOLUNTARILY to a random football match filled with a mix of amateurs and intermediates, complaining bitterly about having to "carry" his teammates through the match, and then expressing a desire to kick all the amateurs and intermediates off the field. That's what some of you guys sound like.

Requiring 500CP for dungeons just highlights your own weakness.

    A.) That's a normal dungeon.
B.) You can be under level 50 and still at CP cap.
C.) Some people are just hopeless. Levelling a Sorc atm (CP capped), and had a bunch of 300 CP plus toons continuously wiping on the lizard man boss in RoM simply because they would not, even once, use the mechanics: when he went invincible they kept trying to burn him. Wipe after wipe, explaination after explanation in voice and chat. Those people prove the CP doesn't mean skill or intelligence point. CP do, however, shift the odds--not the reality--more in favor of competence.

The change from VR to CP has done nothing good for those who bought the game recently. Many people see the CP cap as the holy grail and refuse to take anyone but CP capped players, or maybe CP300+.

When I first cleared vWGT (before nerf) I was a VR16 with roughly 250CP and that was at that time one of the hardest dungeons in the game. People need to stop staring blind on CP. It says nothing about the skill of a player.
If I queue up for random vet I know that I can come across <160CP players, and just deal with it!
I'm getting sick and tired of all those noobs that need 531CP+ players to carry them through the dungeons.

Your statement about VR removal aint completely right tho.. When I lvled my sorc(lvled it as a tank only thru dungeons) I very often got kicked out as soon a the grp finder got me a grp. This happened ALOT thru VR1 and all the way to VR14. I tanked just as good as a VR16 tank, but due to my "low lvl" I got kicked like instantly. Ofc I got annoyed, but eventually I would find a grp anyways that didnt care and sometimes folks even got impressed by my tank skills. And thoose who kicked me just had to wait longer while I as a tank got a new grp within seconds and could move on to do my stuff.
