So sick of being kicked from groups I'm done for now

CP doesn't really matter to me (except for certain vets where people under 160 are at a gear deficiency). I've seen low level and low CP vastly out perform CP500+ groups.

Like last night. We ran vWGT for gold and I was the lowest there at 251. Everyone else was 500-700. The dps were bad. Very bad. Low damage and refused to do simple things like follow mechanics and res. We ended up booting them on the pinion boss and had to get guildies in to help finish the run. When we were done the tank praised me for my healing, even though they almost kicked me for my CP level and the fact that I'm a NB healer and not a templar.

Some people are just pricks. Just find another group and move on.

You must be a pretty terrible player if you consider having a CP80 in a dungeon group to be a possible handicap...

In my experience the people who won't group with people below max level for group dungeons are invariably the people who need to be carried through them.

Exactly, the ones that are willing to help and carry people through do it cause they it can be done and isn't really a burden.

We did a Wrothgar and Gold Coast world boss run last night. Twelve players one was level 27, one was 28, one was level 5 (me!) and one *healer* was level 3. Yes, actual level 3! @UrQuan, did I miss any lowbies? Because that was a fun run! CP ranks were all over the place, I'm not even sure the level 3 had any cp now...

A good, easy going group won't care. A group that's... lacking.. will be scared to help as it would expose their own weaknesses.

Well I was on a level 20... I think that's all of the lowbies that were in that run, and I'm pretty sure we only had 2 or maybe 3 max-levels. Most of the level 50s I think were below 300CP. It really was a fun run though, and considering how many lowbies we had it went really smoothly... Not a single wipe!

You don't need CP cap for anything less than Hardmode Veteran Trials. Anyone who is being exclusive for anything less than that is not as skilled as they are claiming.

Reminds me of a random normal dungeon I was pulled into once (trying to burn some enlightenment). We had a level 45 who was starting votes to kick anyone with less than 300CP. He had queued as tank with his bow/staff setup, and refused to take any food to increase his 12k health. He spent most of the dungeon dead on the floor while my healer and a Trials Stamplar basically two manned it because we rejected his vote kick of the level 30 DPS (who did eat the food I gave him). The level 30 was trying, but didn't have access to voice chat, and it was tough to get him the mechanics typed before staffbowfalsetank aggroed everything on us. Should have kicked the false tank maybe, but these dungeons are too easy anymore, the extra challenge was fun.

Only time I won't run with a lower level is if we already have a full group of four CP160+ looking to grind a veteran dungeon for gear. Nothing personal, just gear hunting, especially now we can trade the BoP pieces in-group. If one of the group has to leave for whatever reason, I will run with whoever wants to run of course!
I also can't carry anyone through veteran Imperial City Prison yet. For some reason I get myself confused about the mechanics, so I need more practice myself first. But I will do normal with whoever, it's good practice.

If you are on Xbox NA, you can add me to the list. I am not available as often as I would wish at the moment, but we always have guildies looking to run things, so groups are easy. I am working on improving my DPS so I can run with them more often. It seems everyone has a healer anymore. :D

This past weekend, 3 of us were in group (1 Tank, 1 DPS, 1 Healer). We used group finder to find a 4th dps. It instead gave us 2 more dps, so we have 5 in our group, and switched the leader. The other person in the group then voted to kick out my wife (the only healer in the group). Then when that failed voted to kick me (the tank), then the our friend who was dps. Finally the 3 of us just left and were penalized for the bug in the group finder. Looking back, the 3 of us should have vote kicked the other 2 and just had finder find us another.

I think ZOS should just remove the 15 min penalty since the group finder is so bugged to begin with.

Yeah, grinding for gear is a totally different story, but then that's typically done with a pre-formed group. I don't know anyone who uses the group finder to try to find a group to grind for gear...

Double way to go Zenimax! 1- Creating a penalty timer that affects people who were kicked out of the group regardless of reason.... and 2- Letting everyone know your CP level so they can kick you just because of their perception of your skill....

This is what annoys me. You have a way to get quick easy runs. Your guild. Or make a group yourself. The random dungeon finder is there for everyone. You get what you get. Make your own group if that isn't good enough.

I would say it really depends on the dung. I personally would not run vCoA/vWGT/vICP without randoms that are high cp(dmg is huge on vCoA for the gold key) AND have a mic(which is actually more important IMO on wgt/icp than cp). I'll run any of the easy vet dung with anyone and any of the normal with anyone too as any help they give is literally just making it faster for me. I will also call for a vote to kick on a vet dung that the person has all 3 flagged(tank/heal/dps used to do this on norm too as its still bad playing) as it would literally be a waste of time trying to get through without at least the proper people as mechanics can be taught and that is one of my pet peeves as its just someone that wants to try to get a group as fast as possible and don't care that its a group that will fall apart. I hope that they learn from the 15 min penalty(which was needed because of people like that, and people who would drop and cue randoms until they got the normal daily and random at the same time which I admit I was guilty of at times).
PS4 NA Endgame tank/healer/runner/mag dps. Trials are why I play! I miss when Vdung were tough and fun.

80CP is fine for most veteran dungeons, too.
You want more for the DLC dungeons, but even Fungal Grotto and City of Ash are fine with 80CP as long as you have decent gear.
Darkshade Caverns is only an issue if the DPS don't have good AoE skills. (I have been on some painful runs where my healer did most of the DPS for the Netch and the adds on the final boss because the DPS were glass cannon single target builds. But we got through it).

this happens a lot. I think the only time I have elected to vote on a kick are on harder instances that I know the lower geared/cp people wouldn't be able to complete. When I see people in the 220-270 range struggling I know a cp 10-80 isn't going to cut it at that point and might suggest a kick.

I am 580 cp on PS4 NA and I run stam sorc, dk rank, magicka nb, and stamina, nb. I even get kicked here and there for stupid reasons that probably have nothing to do with my char. Or grouping bugs cause the group to fall apart and then the penalty is just icing on the cake...

I feel your pain my friend. It must be even worse for lower cp people. Totally unfair I hope they work on activity finder and group bugs for One Tamriel.

Im at cap on xbox and use group finder often and the amount of kick requests is high based purely on cp level. I get groups with say a 300, 350, 400 and theyll vote to kick 300, happens very often, i always decline.

We did the new Ruins of Mazzatun with a lvl 32 DPS (0 CP on that account) and a lvl 20 healer (I think there were about 200 CP on that account); yeah it was a bit tough, but also really fun. communication was the key.

But yes, the idea that the timer would effect people who have been kicked is .... very very very poor customer service.

I wait 45 minutes in que only to be kicked and then receive a 15 minute penalty. I just waited in que this morning and finally got into a group. I join the voice channel and hear someone say to the others, we could do this a lot faster if we drop the level 80 and get a 400-500. Another guy says "you don't wanna just see what happens first?" Then I tell them I been to this place several times and know all the strats. They ignore me and then I hear someone say "oh come on you really wanna do that?" "Yeah come on it'll be faster just do it."
Then BAM I'm removed from group with the message my group members voted to kick me. It ports me out and I can't que cause of the penalty timer. No big deal had this happen a time or two before so I fish while I wait and then finally the penalty is over and I re-que. Wait about 10 minutes and get into a group but before I can even leave Grahtwood and port there one guy says we gonna do the normal and then the vet after? Someone else says yeah that's fine and then the first guy says well we need to drop this level 80 cause he won't be able to do the vet. I tell them I'll leave after the normal but 5 seconds later I get removed from the group and PENALTY AGAIN!

You know, it's really enough to make a person feel like crap cause I have very limited time to play the game. I only got to log in this morning cause my wife was at work but she will be home in a few minutes and I just wasted my gametime

I'm sorry that you have to deal with that. I really dislike people who don't even give you a chance and just kick you for idiotic reasons like that. Some people take this game way too seriously and ruin it for other people.

I found the one that kicked you!

Jk, but @templesus if you kick a CP80 for a random normal dungeon, you need to reevaluate yourself. Not because of morals, but because normal dungeons are soloable with exactly two excepctions; DLC and Direfrost (dang pressure plates!)

I mean, you're a jerk for kicking lowbie anyway, but I figured you'd care if I said you should be able to solo these.

People still choose all 3 roles. And if you end up with a tank who's done that, and you kick them, it's back to waiting 20-60 mins for another tank.

So now that we have the cooldown, people troll by kicking lower level people (like the OP). So it really didn't fix the problem. Just changed it to another problem.
