Supposedly a buddy got one on normal. It was CP160 but it was blue.
Is it confirmed there's still a chance for them to drop on normal?

This was the old days and a v13 master was better than a v14 crafted. However, a CP150 master, if it existed, would be inferior to a crafted CP160 weapon due to the extra bonus we get Golding out a CP160 weapon.

The master sword is also the holy grail of sword and board...
But true, the gap between Master/Maelstrom and crafted isn't as big as it used too with the more powerful glyphs that we now have.
The master bow is great, but a bow with weapon damage glyph will give you 348 weapon damage (418 if infused) for 5 seconds OVERALL, not just on a target affected by your Poison Injection.
Does OVERALL(for a potentially shorter duration) VS SINGLE (from poison Inject.) target matter?
Just ask the 3+ person that will get nuke by your Dawnbreaker + Reverse Slice combo...

Why not both? PI/light attack, switch to greatsword light attack for both enchants to proc.
In PvE, the above is godly. Also, kudos on picking up on the master's sword. Turtle behind shield and spam a super low cost attack that heals you 2k.

But then again it's the difference between having an extra189 constant weapon damage or an extra 348 for 5 seconds, every 7-8seconds? (Not sure of the cooldown duration of the weapon enchant)

I totally would be stoke if I got one, but I'd much prefer a decent Maelstrom bow and that Maelstrom 2H for now.
Still wondering on ZOS's response to this. There was no mention in the patch notes that the ability to obtain master weapons from normal dragonstar arena was being removed (you could get v13 master weapons from ndsa pre update 11). The only mention was that weapons and armour would be scaled to your level up to maximum cp160. @ZOS_GinaBruno please can you shed some light?

From what I understand, the cooldown is 5-6 seconds on your typical enchant. And to me, that massive weapon damage boost is better than my 2H maelstrom sword. 189 dmg is cool and all, but with a nearly 100% uptime while weaving medium attacks, the bow + dmg enchant is great.
Which is why I'd be very interested in the truth behind the OP, and if they do drop normal.
