How will be the 6 pledges/day with Update 12 organized?

Hi guys,

I was thinking, do we have any more info from ZOS about how will be the 6 pledges/day organized?

Will it be like, my character is in AD, so I will be able to do 1 silver, 1 gold in AD Undanted Enclave, then I will go to DC Undaunted Enclave and will be able to do again 1 silver and one gold and then the same in EP Undaunted Enclave?

And how will be the rotation? I hope it will not be the same silver pledge that day in all 3 Undaunted Enclaves and the same gold (3 times the same dungeon a day for silver and 3 times the same for gold).

3 pledges per day, not 6. For a chance at up to 6 keys per day (each pledge can yield either 1 or 2 keys). The pledges are the same no matter which faction you pick them up in (you can pick up pledges in other factions right now, actually). It's just a matter of convenience and personal preference which camp you use, as it's all the same.

And there will not be silver/gold dailies anymore. All three dailies are "dailies", you can get one key (dungeon finished) or two (vet hard mode, it seem) per daily.

aha, ok then. and what will be the prerequisite for obtaining 2 keys from one dungeon? What will we have to do to get 2 keys? Do we know that?

hmm, ok and those two keys, will it be like 2 gold keys, or how? Will the crates (silver, bronze, gold) change somehow?
No more bronze crate, just either one gold key or two gold keys?
I need more info :), I am so hyped :):)

I believe they said there will be no more bronze/silver/gold. Just a generic "Undaunted Key". The chests will now be split into different sets. So instead of each key giving chance at 30 different monster shoulders, each chest might be limited to only 10 specific shoulders. It is unknown if you can use all 6 keys on the same chest to maximize your chance at a particular shoulder. Or if the 3 pledges might each be tied to a different chest (and those different monster sets).

There is a lot of speculation right now. We really have to wait for PTS and patch notes to know for sure. For all we know, PTS could be delayed because they decided to completely change how the new pledges work! It is probably best to not get too excited or discouraged at this point.

We know that all keys will be the same (probably an "undauted key"), and that every key left in your inventory at the release will be transformed to these keys.
We also know that they will be several chests with their own shoulder selection, but no precise infos except for the existance of a "dlc" chest (who will have Kena, Haj Mota, Warden and Velindreth, perhaps more).

We also know that "people who don't have a dlc won't be penalized anymore for their dailies", who give us a lot of speculation : is the daily for people without a precise dlc will be a different one when this daily is on this dlc ? Does the third dailies each people get will be random and different for everyone, chosen in the accessible dungeons ? Is dlc dungeon won't have a daily ? We have near to no clues, only speculations and hope. Let's see later, it seem that the PTS will be here this week.

How will it be? Infuriating. What are we up to, 21 dungeons? If that means 21 monster sets, 9 traits and 3 weights. We are talking about a 1/567 chance of getting a specific piece you are after. ZOS has gone too far. Even if you did 6 keys a day and never got a repeat drop, you talking about almost 100 days to get what you are after. Both presumptions are unlikely making the actual timeframe likely much longer.

These should be tokens, not keys.

no new 16 monster sets (Rich Lambert just commented here https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/3309942/#Comment_3309942:), that he miscalculated it, not 17, but 16 are right. The helmets just drop at vet mode, the shoulders on non-vet. so yes 16 x 2 makes 32 dungeons.

I am sure they will do it somehow, that you will be able to get what you want!

Actually I over counted. I was going for total. I believe we have 20 dungeons. One for each zone (15), Vaults, 2 IC, 2 SotH. Assuming they all have a monster sets, that's still. 540 possible shoulders.

As for saying you are sure they will do it somehow to get what we want, well I have no reason whatsoever to believe that to be true. Look at VMA for crying out loud.

Now if we can grind shoulders on normal mode, I guess that's a start.

Not sure where 16 new sets come from. I understand he said, it just trying to figure it out. If there are 20 total dungeons, and we currently have helms from: COS,ROM, ICP, WGT, COA,COH,EH, Wayrest, BC, DC, Fungal (that's 11 if I am not missing any). Where are we getting 16 new ones?

Either way, it is going to be near impossible to get a specific weight/trait.

You really should pay more attention to the news. :p

    Now:
16 original dungeons and their original story lines, normal difficulty mode
8 sequel-story-line dungeons, veteran difficulty mode
4 DLC dungeons, normal difficulty mode
4 DLC dungeons, veteran difficulty mode

    Update 12:
16 original dungeons and their original story lines, normal difficulty mode
16 original dungeons and their original story lines, veteran difficulty mode
8 sequel-story-line dungeons, normal difficulty mode
8 sequel-story-line dungeons, veteran difficulty mode
4 DLC dungeons, normal difficulty mode
4 DLC dungeons, veteran difficulty mode

Basically, the original 16 dungeons and the 8 that have sequels will follow the DLC model, where each story is available in two difficulty modes, and there is a divorce between difficulty and storyline.

This means 16 new veteran-difficulty-mode--rescaled versions of the current 16 normal dungeons.

As for your concerns about shoulder RNG, they are dividing the shoulders into 3 chests. Each chest will drop only a certain predefined set of shoulders. So if there is a particular shoulder that you seek, then you can focus on just one chest and not be dipping into the entire drop pool.

Thanks for the info, hard to know what is rumor these days. So basically, "16 original dungeons and their original story lines, veteran difficulty mode" these will all have new monster pieces? To go with the 11 we already have, so 27 total? Lets keep going here, 27*3*9= 729 possible shoulders, and they divide that in 3 based on the chest you chose, so 243 possible drops from a chest? Yeah, that will be super easy to get what you are after.

It is still broken RNG, either way.

There will be 28 monster sets. The current 12:
    1. Bloodspawn
    2. Maw of Infernal
    3. Mephala
    4. Malubeth
    5. Bogdan
    6. Engine Guardian
    7. Neri'enth
    8. Valkyn Skoria
    9. Molag Kena
    10. Lord Warden
    11. Velidreth
    12. Mighty Chudan

Plus the 16 original "normal" dungeons now getting updated to Veteran and getting a new monster set.

Right now you have "Normal" Spindleclutch, that is pretty easy and ends in spider Whisperer boss, and "Veteran" Spindleclutch that is harder and ends in Vorenor Winterbourne boss. With Update 12, you will have "Spindleclutch Storyline I" that ends in spider Whisperer and has both Normal and Veteran modes. And you will have "Spindleclutch Storyline II" that ends in Vorenor Winterbourne and has both Normal and Veteran modes. Bloodspawn head will continue to drop in "Spindleclutch Storyline II". A new monster head is being added for "Spindleclutch Storyline I". There will be a 100% drop rate of monster head on Veteran in both storylines and with Bind-On-Group, monster head acquisition should not be too bad.

I fear shoulders will still be a rough road, though. If there are 3 chests and one is reserved for DLC shoulders as rumored, that leaves 24 sets for the other 2 chests. 12 * 3 * 9 = 324 possibilities in each of those chests. Yikes. But with the possibility of up to 6 keys per day, per character, it may not be too bad. 324 / 6 = 54. So if you do maximum pledges per day on Hard mode, and you are allowed to use all keys on chest of your choice, odds are 1 in 54 each day to get the shoulder you want in weight and trait you want. That is still a long grind, but better than the awful, horrible, very bad and ZOS feel bad RNG grind right now where there are 12 * 3 * 7 = 252 possibilities in gold key chest and, with average of 1.33 gold keys per day per character, that is 252 / 1.33 = 1 in 189 chance each day to get the shoulder you want in weight and trait you want.

Edit: Also, i think your math is flawed. 1/54 assumes no repeats in the drops. I am no statistics expert, but since each drop is independent of the last drop, it makes the math much worse for us.

Here is the simplest solution there is on this issue. First make it so that both helms and shoulders have a chance at dropping from the dungeon at some point. They would be BOG and this would allow you to grind specifically for what you want. Then, turn keys into freaking tokens. 50 tokens buys you a helm or shoulder of your choice from an undaunted vendor.

Ahhhh!!!! How did I forget Spindleclutch. It's one of the few sets I actually use. Haha

    I'll drink to that idea.

@ZOS_Finn make this happen, por favor.
