VMA Chest Weapons Atrocious?

Just kidding I've got my sharpened inferno so I'm pleased.
Yeah it blows but what's kind of funny is now that you get 100% drops some of the newer builds put the vMA on back bar or don't even use them anymore and can pull higher DPS.
So they arent necessarily best in slot in every case.
I love the fact that it is a solo arena, some of you act like there is always someone available worth grouping with. A lot of the time when I log in and see friends are offline or busy I love the fact that I can run though vMA. Rather then play with randoms or twiddle my thumbs.
Maybe they could put a tag team option to it with a different scoring system, but by then I'm sure there will be a new arena or newer better weapons.

✭I'm sure it's an conspiracy by Bethesda to keep vMA alive, because it is such a difficult task. I figured, if the drops are more prevalent and you get those weapons with the traits you want, you probably wouldn't go back into vMA. vMA isn't something the majority do for fun. So, I think vMA is doomed to implode in itself and hardly anyone would repeat it, if they get those weapons right away from the first couple or few completion.0 -

imenace✭✭✭did about 170~ runs before they added the new traits to the loot table and i got pretty good weapons.. ofc not the one i actually need, now im started doing runs again after a 2 month break and i gotta say it really feels like a waste of time, every weapon i get has *** traits

The drop chances of the weapons are not the same. Ran it plenty of times - Resto staffs drop the most. Then Bows. I have never had an 2h sword/mace and never had 1h weapons (except the tanking one).[EU]

DangerMan✭✭✭I literally came here today to make a similar thread. Been running it twice everyday since the patch but the drops are so crap. Only usable things I've gotten are 2x Sharpened Axes and 1x Precise Axe.
A dagger, an inferno staff, and a bow are yet to drop for me (with any trait). These are the three weapons that I need to complete my builds. On the other hand, I have heaps of crappy sword and boards, and lightening staves..Flawless MagSorc DPS

LegendaryArcher✭✭✭✭See my thread here. Almost everyone got their desired weapons before DB DLC. Now they added *** traits, so it's not worth the hassle anymore. Every 5th will need over 1000 vMA runs to get the desired weapon. That's 20% chance to be completely screwed and not get it in over 3 years of running Maelstrom every day. *** that.PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates0

sluice✭✭✭✭Ran it 9 times this week-end and took note of all the drops, in order:
- Shield with mace
- Nirnhoned Lightning Staff
- Defending Maul
- Precise Lightning Staff
- Shield with sword
- Powered Maul
- Shield with mace
- Nirnhoned BattleAxe
- Precise Restoration Staff
TL;DR
3x Shield combo
2x Lightning staff (arguably the worst staff.. )
3x 2H (Can't complain, but not sharpened
...At least the Defending one is a Maul...)
1x Restoration staff in possibly with the best trait it could drop in.. so happy about this one.
I'm still hunting for that Sharpened 2H and a bow (any trait at this point!...).

It was worth it. If only for that godly staff... Some people have been hunting it for months and months!
but man, those 3x shields are harsh!
My first ever vma drop was a shield and mace. You should of seen the look on my face.
