Gina said that locked RNG boxes were not planned at the current time. Crown crates are most definitely not locked RNG boxes. A locked RNG box is what CS:GO has, where you get the crate and then have to pay for a key to open it. They have not and will not be added, furthermore remember they said they "are not planned" over a year ago. Plans change, things change.

Crown crates are a very different system and actually will likely work quite well. All cosmetic and you can save up Crown Gems for the specific item you want in a season.

Lottery boxes require very little development. Flying mounts require a complete overhaul of the physics of the game engine, and of every zone where they will function. Changing their minds about lottery boxes requires very little investment from ZOS. Changing their minds about flying mounts would require a massive investment from ZOS.

As others have pointed out, flying mounts will not happen.

At that, it would look silly seeing someone in a dragon merely hovering above the ground. Zos would not waste the time coding s new way mounts work to make actual flying mounts possible in the game.

Flying mounts are one of the worse things that can happen to games like this. People just stand in town waiting for a queue to pop. If you have a quest mount up fly there and disregard all the stuff out in the world. NO!

I don't see the point in flying mounts? when you can literally teleport everywhere.

Plus, seeing as this is a lore-heavy game. It wouldn't make much sense either.

I'm not hating on your wishful thinking, of course. I'd just rather this game didn't degenerate into another mmo that throws all lore out the window. Once they start 'breaking the rules' when does it stop? lol.

A prime example of this is WoW. People kept asking for 'this and that' to be added to the game over the years, and look at it now. It's an shallow, unsociable, queue simulator. (in comparison to how it was originally)

I think every July there needs to be a Sharknado and we need to protect the land..... Sharks mounts!!!! Used only on water... 200% movement speed. Cannot be killed by SlaughterFish...

We don't even have underwater exploration and combat because ESO engine can't handle it. I can't even picture flying mounts.

I'd absolutely love to have a flying mount, but my first consideration is the lore, and no change that violates lore is a change that should happen. Flying mounts simply are not supported by lore, at all, not even a little bit (especially dragons which veiw humans as insects and seek only our death or enslavement, and wouldn't let a human ride them for anything).

Uhhhh... what's the difference between getting the chest for free and having to pay for a key, versus just paying for a crate and not needing a key?

The answer: absolutely nothing except your perception.

It's whats in the box that matters. Your reasoning here about the keys and so forth makes absolutely no logical sense.
