Anyway, it is already working like that on computer, why not on console ?
It is something most of people WANTS, more than that, its an option that some people NEEDS.
Dont be like "i dont want it so dont put it" just because you only think with your personnal mind.
If people wants its, give em the opportunity to on/off the setup.
If I wanted the game to tell me how to play I would've stayed on PC. If you need this much assistance then maybe you should play on PC rather than trying to stupify console.

It would be great if it marked them account wide as they are discovered on any character. Would add a nice sense of completion too not to mention it being a solid money spinner for the devs.
As for the buff timer, I don't want it personnally. I like using the visual animations, when the lag isn't so bad, I would much rather the immersive feel of looking at my character and enemies character instead of staring at little boxes all down the side of my screen. And you can't say, "just don't use them" because I would be putting myself at a massive disadvantage not using them, making me feel forced into stuffing tons of indicators all over my screen!!
Anyone who subscribes to this thought is truly the worst I'm sorry....
You are basically saying that you don't want the feature like this implemented because it would be invasive and immersion breaking. And you don't want an option to turn it off or disable it in any way because, you would not use it and that would put you at a disadvantage against those that opt to use said feature.
Therefore you are admitting that the feature indeed would improve player performance but because of your personal preference and immersion reasons, you would rather zos artificially hamstring players in an ambiguous way by omitting the feature for those that would truly benefit from it.
Absolutely ridiculous man.
Also you are saying console players are superior because they don't rely on such tools, which is blasphemy!
All anyone is ever saying is they want everything to require as little effort as possible, if not handed directly to them. THAT is blasphemy. Of course it's also ridiculous but still
Something like a buff/debuff display without going into the character menu is 1 thing, but lorebook and skyshard indicators is just plain lazy, especially when you can find the info online.
Well I should specify thst I'm talking only about the buff trackers, not lore book and skyshard maps.
If I understand you correctly, you are saying keeping track of buffs exclusively via visual queues is an advanced form of skill? Where as using on screen timers equals less effort and is only catering to the lazy player?
Does the healer not deserve to know when his/her party members' hots are about to expire?
Does the nightblade not deserve to know how much longer he has to get that 4th attack off to trigger Assasins will before it expires?
Realistically, the list goes on.. players are already counting as much as they can keep track of in their head, but nothing is worse then wasting resource to reapply something that still has duration left or having to wait for something to fall entriely off before reapplying, dipping into and disrupting an otherwise solid ration where every second counts.
And just a side note, I'm sure most have experienced this once or twice but.... is it only the lesser skilled players that lose their food buff mid fight, resulting in a crucial dip in stats equaling death? Lol.
No, it's actually a skill to be able to keep track of buffs WITHOUT a visual confirmation that it's present. Setting a sort of internal alarm clock for your buffs is a means to do so. I realize people get distracted and lose track but that's what makes it so skillful doesn't it?
If what I bolded ever happened to me I would simply rebuff with the food on my wheel lol
Do you really think keeping mental track of 4 to 5 different buffs signifies a strong player? If so you are truly absurd. What separates a good player from a bad one is knowing when it'd an ideal time to let a particular buff or debuff fall off or to renew before it expires. Decision making, and execution, not some arbitrary limitation like mental clock watching for multiple buffs.
As for the bolded comment, you completely missed the point. It's easy to renew your food after it falls off. The point was dying at a critical moment due to it falling off. Honestly I'm not trying to give this too much attention, it was a side note, not a serious one in place for the argument. Simply re eating before a big fight is easy and losing out on minutes of a food buff is likely only an issue for the biggest penny pinchers in the game.
It signifies a FOCUSED player, and a focused player is a player on the ball. Skill does not equal strength and power.
It's really simple.
Implement a buff and debuff tracker.
A. If you are super elite like you guys indicate, don't use it, since you're doing it perfectly already. Result: No loss or gain.
B. If you are not able to track buff and debuffs in an efficient manner, you now have the OPTION to use it, which may improve your experience and/or performance. Result: Net gain.
Group A isn't affected negatively whatsoever.
Group B will have either no change or a positive one.
Simple.
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_DaryaK can you pass this request to the Dev time and see if we can have this added in the next update.
Well I meant the update following this one since its pretty much out so far.Ohhgrizyyy wrote: »@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_DaryaK can you pass this request to the Dev time and see if we can have this added in the next update.

Actually he so wrong its stupid it wouldn't widen the skill gap it would make it closer. So more players can get on a competitive level with other players.Players like him are just scared that when this comes they won't be as good as they think they are.More players will be able to learn the game better and manage their resources and buffs better because their not over casting.Their no down side to this being added only positive change and a more health competitive game play experience for all.For PVP players we should be the one pushing this the most its the reason we PVP for good fun fights. This is what this will bring.Ohhgrizyyy wrote: »SourishWhale wrote: »OP, why not just play on PC if it's something you want?
I am a console player for a reason, Im still in highschool, Can not simply go buy a good pc and the game over again to get this. It widens no skill gap. Sypher,Fengrush,Deltia and KingRichard all use these. And they are some of the best players in the game. If everyone had it and used it how would it create a gap? Its still evened out, Both players just know when yheir crap ends. Damage, knowledge and strategy is changed in no way. Just better resource management and both players can get the best out of their builds

I think he was saying keeping it out keeps the skill gap wide.
