This "sometimes" happens way too often don't you think?

Last time it happened was back in 2014.

You must have a very short memory if you don't even remember how long server was down this year. How it went down at anniversary cake earlier than it was planned, and then how it wouldn't come back after people discovered ESO+ Survey Map exploit. That's only first two things that came to my mind just now.

Those two examples have nothing to do with an update or patch getting snagged though.

I usually dont get the blues until after maintenance when i find out what is still broken. For example this time i wont really be blue until i login again and find out if the group finder is working.

I don't care the why for the continuous system downs and 3 hour restarts and whatever other garbage is ongoing.

My point is that Communication is key, vague unhelpful estimates only increase frustration and anger

They have been running this game now for years, they should have enough information by now to provide realistic helpful information if they had the desire to do so.

They also should have the information on how to properly do these tasks in a timely fashion... I do not care how large their environment is, no way it is bigger than WoW or Rift, and they are never down with such incredible frequency or with unplanned extensions literally weekly or more like ZOS.

Oh yes they have everything to do with it. It's called overall incompetence. Both technical and management. They shouldn't do a maintenance at same day when Guild Traders reset because things can go wrong just like this. Move it to other day so it will not hurt anything important if things go wrong. I shouldn't even mention such "Planning 101" things on these forums, it must go without saying.

They needed to extend the down time because they discovered that there wasn't enough lag happening in PvP with the new update. This extra down time will help fix that issue and bring balance to the game.

I decided to get a 1 month sub a few weeks ago as I thought this game was fun. This is now the second time since getting the sub that this server maintenance has/is going to drag out on a day (Monday) that I can play, and take all day to do. This is not what I am going to pay for, and by the sounds of it, it is an ongoing problem. I will not be continuing my sub after the one month. This is truly sad.

They changed the maintenance to an earlier time and people still complain.

Not long ago the Xbox server was down for an entire day and I was actually happy they were taking their time, hopeful they were fixing Orsinium (which they didn't).

This is being more and more frutating as time goes. I wrote my first post in these forums back in April 2014, the first maintenance day, due to frustation. Two and half years after, things are just worse than ever.

Actually downtimes are over half day a week. I wanted to check the terms of service to check if there's any mention about the suposed % uptime that we should have, but, do you know what?, site is currently under maintenance....

Time to go buy Fallout 4- Half price in a well known online games shop atm. And no mega server.

With 12 hour maintenance times, it doesn't really matter what time they start it at now does it?

I never played WOW, but my other mmo's havn't done this, with the regularity. My last one, swtor, maybe once or twice had a day patch in the 4 years I have been playing it. After playing 3 weeks of this game, this is now the 2nd time.

I prefer maintenance, however long, planned or unplanned, to no maintenance.

Things happen. ZOS provides a service I enjoy at a pricepoint I find reasonable.

Tell you what...you make it to where:

1) Every other TP to Mournhold (or loading from Toon Screen) isn't an Endless Loading Screen followed with a "blah blah blah...disconnected...have a valid internet connection...blah blah blah" message...

2) My "Travel To Wayshrine" text isn't in JAPANESE...

3) I invite someone to a Group, they accept, my UI says "____ Left The Group" (and then I have to relog to see and communicate with any Group Members...

4) I whisper my Friends and I don't get an "Account Not Found" error, forcing me to look at which Toon they are on and Whisper the Toon Name...

5) My Chat Tabs retain their settings after logging out...

....and you can take ALL the time you need.
