no. both things are important, but a MMO with no new content gets rapidly stagnant and that leads to its sure death. MMOs need constant new content to keep people interested.

I have answered in the way that I did to conform with the poll choices, i.e. yea or nay, so in my case, yea to bug fixes.

But why do polls have to be mutually exclusive with their choices?

A proper answer from me would be yes, let's get the bugs fixed before we launch more content (which may already be bugged to some extent), but let us prioritise this.

So, we would have more content to keep the game fresh/raise more revenue to keep the company solvent, but the priority would be to fix all known bugs and reported bugs, glitches and performance problems with existing content.

Problem is that one of these costs the company (more) money while the other makes the company more money.

There is a greater incentive to produce more content than there is to fix previously bugged content from the producers point of view.

To the customer, it is a no brainer, as can clearly be seen by the way this polls has voted so far.

These are opposing views that can come into conflict. I can only hope for common sense prevailing on both sides of the poll choices and results.

New content generally brings new bugs. It's the nature of the game and I know they'll eventually be fixed. I hope the new content continues to be released at the pace it has been this year because it's been fantastic!

Fixing bugs is more important than having new content.

They just added new content that requires grouping when there is a bug that causes plays to be unable to group. There's also a bug that prevents people from doing Orsinium at all without getting thier character into an unplayable state. Personally, I bought this game on pre-order and I've never finished the main quest because I hit the Molag Bal fight bug so many times that I just gave up.

I think game breaking, show stopping bugs needs to take priority over new content or what's the point? Players need to have confidence in the product or they won't buy it.

fixing bugs is an ongoing issue in every MMO especially when they introduce content every quarter like this game. Even if they stopped all development, concentrated on existing bug fixes it would not mean a lot. I mean that not from the satisfaction of having a decent bug free game but because the second they went back to development it would mean back to new bugs.

What they really need is better coding, better test system, and most importantly far far far better reaction time to fixing bugs as they appear. This crap of waiting until "next DLC" to address bugs like multiple mundus stone is unacceptable and really the biggest issue with the game right now

I do believe that the number of content should be reduced in favor fo bug fix, but the game is a commercial product aiming profits, money, and if there's no new content at all, ZOS will have less in their pockets and thus, less content and less bug fixes later on.

Some bugs don't matter so much in the scheme of things, but other bugs do.

The existing content needs to be playable before new things are added.

I don't care if my characters frequently turns purple. It's frustrating but not a huge deal when a side quest is bugged and therefore cannot be completed.

But the constant crashes, invisible enemies, and places that eat your character and won't let you load that character again because of their location in game? There are more and more of these issues, and they are getting worse. This makes people quit, more than any dlc drought will. Those need fixed if you want people to stay.

Different teams do content and bug-fixing so the premise of the poll is false. ZOS will continue to work on both. In any event, while we all eventually run out of content we don't all suffer from bugs or other issues.

The game has enough content for ZOS to take a step back and sort out what makes this mmo so unique and keeps players entertained even after the content is mainly finished - PVP in Cyrodiil and imperial city. If they focused just 1 quarter to fix all these things, they could then go on to implement new things.

There is one of these threads after each and every major update.

The reality is, bugs will ALWAYS be an issue, and ZOS will NEVER push a bug free update, no matter how long we have to wait for it.

So far, 3 months seems to be enough time for them to deal with the most pressing bugs.

Choosing one over the other is just not an option. New content needs to keep coming, but bug fixing should also be a priority... One thing does not exclude the other...

Hit the nail on the head. There's dlc that we've paid for, that's unplayable.... that's the issue.

I love new content but more testing needs to be done. Every update there's usually a game breaking bug found within the first 72 hours.

I would say that after 5 DLCs in a year, ZOS could focus the next 6 months or so on patches before adding a new DLC.
I don't think they will, but it'd be nice.

As some have said above, ZOS needs to space out the DLCs more rather than releasing them in random bursts.
