Hopefully it's Upper and lower zones - with the each zone being similar to Wrothgar in size. This would obviously need to be multiple DLCs.

... I will personally cry myself to sleep if they don't give us Vivec city, there is far too much awesome stuff they can do with such a big, and beautiful capital, for it to go unused in an mmo envoriment.

How about fix the game performance as much as possible first? I have no intention of loading into Ald'Ruhn and crashing after taking 5 steps.

Vvardenfell, if kept to lore appropriate scaling, the full isle would be about the same size as the in game (partial) Cyrodiil. Fully done, I would expect far more than six delves, perhaps in the range of Cyrodiil itself in terms of quantity. However, something makes me think that the zone will be split up into mini-zones, or perhaps even released as Craglorn was: one piece at a time. Releasing the full map in all its landmass, including the scaling that ESO gives to other TES zones (I think I remember seeing ZOS say somewhere that the size of individual areas are 1.5x that of previous TES games to give more space in the MMO) the land would be quite barren and without delves for massive stretches at a time. Perhaps the focus would be overworld content instead, but I'm eager to see how this zone will turn out in the end.

I would be happy if they made this a long term project and kept plugging away at it for a few months, just to get it complete and well constructed. This zone needs to be detailed, on the order of the original game, or people will be disappointed.

I think we need to get it all in one zone, and it should be close to a "remake" of the original game, at least in terms of detail and stuff to do. An expansion more than a quarterly DLC.

Agree with this one... This should be an expansion.

I suspect they are not done yet. It is very possible that this is the "big project" that they have been working on for the last year. It may have more time to bake before it is done. Personally, I am guessing 2Q or 3Q 2017.

I would hope not. They aren't built until 3E 427.

I wonder if it will be released as one large adventure zone or if they'll just spoon-feed it to us in small patches.
It seems to be set up for a single zone (6 delves, 6 world bosses, 2 public dungeons), so I'm thinking similar to Wrothgar.

6 delves, 6 world bosses, 2 public dungeons etc its sounding wrothgar sized to me
    Agreed!

It's got to be be bigger than Wrothgar, in Morrowind it was huge. If they do everything else right but make it as small as Wrothgar people will lose it.

It would be a desecration like shooting a stained glass window.
Yeah, people wouldn't be happy with a Wrothgar-sized Vvardenfell. But so far, everything seems to be pointing that way.

Yeah, that would be great. But if that's the plan, I would have thought we'd be seeing more delves, or six delves concentrated on one half of the island. Craglorn isn't any bigger than Wrothgar, but they managed to fit 18 delves into it.

ZOS has to tread very carefully here. They are walking on hallowed ground. They can do things the way they usually do them, with big intentions but lacking in follow through, but that will be a mistake with this zone. They have an entire GAME to live up to with this. People will be disappointed and pan the zone if they use the same playbook they used for Wrothgar. They need to take the time to make Vvardenfell epic or whatever they do will be cast as a failure more than a success.

A lot of people will feel that way.

There is no reason to go back to Vvardenfell right now other than because of TES 3 Morrowind. There are plenty of places to go and things to see that have never been in any Elder Scrolls game. They could easily avoid the remainder of Skyrim and Vvardenfell for a good long time.

TES 3 Morrowind is frequently viewed favorably out of all of the TES games by long time Elder Scrolls fans. It may not have been as popular as Skyrim, or have the fancy graphics and refined appearance that Skyrim has, and the combat is crude compared to modern games, and it has limited voice overs, and all the NPCs look the same, but there is a cult following for the game that puts it on a pedestal above all of the other games, even Daggerfall. Every TES game since Morrowind has had an effort to put it into the current TES game, and I guess that ESO is no exception.

TES 3 Morrowind was the first TES game I ever played. It is a game that I never want to play again, yet it is a game that all Elder Scrolls games should be compared against.

Making a Vvardenfell zone for ESO is a great idea, and I look forward to hearing more about it, but there is a risk that should not be understated.

@altemriel Based on the number of POIs, delves, bosses and public dungeons found so far, yes. A similar size to Wrothgar is almost certain. Geographically, however, it should be about twice the size. (see map)

Yeah, one of the standard responses along the lines of "No plans right now, but we would like to do that", which they have said about many things! I tried to find a reference or a date for when they said it, but no luck. It certainly wasn't recently, though.

PLEASE don't let us down, take your time, bring the beauty of Vvardenfell to ESO with RESPECT and proper detail like it deserves.
