Me too and I'm not even a girl! I should really play Morrowind.

Don't wait for Skywind as it won't capture what makes Morrowind...Morrowind.

Grab it on Steam while the Summer Sale is going on.

I'd recommend a few addons though, nothing that alters the game on a fundamental level. Message me if you'd like help setting up a proper installation of Morrowind that is true to game but eases those who haven't played it into playing a game "that old" and with a little less micromanagement.

I have to agree with this post. I am a latecomer to Morrowind. I found it almost unplayable before I installed a patch that fixed a good number of bugs but also improved inventory screens and other base game functions.

Of course, I went back a second time and installed Tamriel Rebuilt for a lot more Morrowind goodness.

Dont worry. They will be back, when they break this zone into 8 pieces to sell us.

Why would it? Cyrodil is pretty much the same size it was in Oblivion.

Anyway. If they release all of this at once as a DLC / Expansion.. Wow!

The plabale area of Cyrodiil in ESO so probably only 60% of the Obliivon Cyrodiil Map so the ESO version is no where close to being the same size it was in Oblivion, Vvardenfell on the ESO map is the same size as the Rift while in Morrowind it was half the size of Skyrim and if anything the centre will be closed off and most likely be the location of a trial or something so it will be even smaller.

If you are going to go by "playable area" as a percentage, that is one thing. If you talk in terms of how long it takes to cross that area (unhindered by combat), that is another. My recollection is that ESO Cyrodiil is "scaled larger" than Oblivion Cyrodiil, for the terrain that they share.

In any case, Vvardenfell might be released as multiple DLC, but the island is really only the rough size of Rift and Eastmarch combined. They could do it as one, if they have the time to finish it all. However... They don't have to make the actual zone map the same proportional size as it appears to be in the world map. It will be easy for them to scale Vvardenfell larger or smaller. I don't think that the individual zones are all scaled the same, anyway.

If Vvardenfell is only the size of the Rift on the ESO maps, then they must have changed the maps at some point. I notice that the official interactive map is gone.

What I want them to do is challenge Bethesda Game Studio and make a map larger than Far Harbor and Shivering Isles. It would be nice to see those two get in a "my DLC map is bigger than your DLC map" contest.

If we were to go by this map, for example, I would say it looks to be approximately 2 Wrothgar sized areas.

Vvardenfell, if kept to lore appropriate scaling, the full isle would be about the same size as the in game (partial) Cyrodiil. Fully done, I would expect far more than six delves, perhaps in the range of Cyrodiil itself in terms of quantity. However, something makes me think that the zone will be split up into mini-zones, or perhaps even released as Craglorn was: one piece at a time. Releasing the full map in all its landmass, including the scaling that ESO gives to other TES zones (I think I remember seeing ZOS say somewhere that the size of individual areas are 1.5x that of previous TES games to give more space in the MMO) the land would be quite barren and without delves for massive stretches at a time. Perhaps the focus would be overworld content instead, but I'm eager to see how this zone will turn out in the end.

Maybe Vivec City... but Ghostgate has like another 300 years before it becomes a thing.

I would be happy if they made this a long term project and kept plugging away at it for a few months, just to get it complete and well constructed. This zone needs to be detailed, on the order of the original game, or people will be disappointed.

I think we need to get it all in one zone, and it should be close to a "remake" of the original game, at least in terms of detail and stuff to do. An expansion more than a quarterly DLC.

Hey, hey guys, remember when Firor said they'd only be releasing small DLCs and there were no dedicated players left so they were going to cater to casuals and we'd never see big adventure zones again. Remember how the sky fell? Remember that?

I personally don't! I stopped playing at just Imperial dlc partly because I found other games and partly because there was no text chat(there was times I was going to play again, checked the size of the latest patch and decided to play something else)

But I still think it's nice, seems almost too big to give to ESO plus players haha(then again a decent part of the population is having issues so a little reward for sticking around in a bad time would be nice)

It's got to be be bigger than Wrothgar, in Morrowind it was huge. If they do everything else right but make it as small as Wrothgar people will lose it.

It would be a desecration like shooting a stained glass window.
