Should Achievements reward players with XP?

Many achievements in ESO offer neither dyes, titles, costumes, pets etc.
To provide more incentive for players to earn more achievements which don't offer such a reward expect the obvious achievement points, I think it would be a good idea if players were rewarded XP upon earning an achievement.

Some examples:
As well as earning the Master Angler title you could also earn 5,000,000 XP, perhaps for a smaller achievement like deconstructing 50 items, you can earn 15,000 XP and for completing all the quests in a zone maybe 50,000 XP.

Personally I really like the idea, but what do you think?
(It would also be a nice feature if we could see how many achievement points someone else has, as for right now achievement points do little to none.)

It would add a nice little meaning to achievements even to those who cannot care less about them.

I've once had a thought to award specific character traits by reaching certain tresholds of achievement points. Little, perks such as increasing experience/gold gained from quests, increase speed while mounted in PvE only and such.
Here's the thread (just don't necro it please) - it would however be outdated due to VR removal and perhaps other changes that have happened since then.

But as I said, I would most definitely welcome this idea of rewarding XP to the player or perhaps set pieces which would be delivered via mail, working similarly as Rewards for the Worthy.

edit: do they actually really reward XP? Well I'll be damned, lol. I haven't noticed in the past 2 years. Just when you think you know it all after this time, there is still something that can surprise you :open_mouth:

Tons of the Veteran Dungeon achievements (usually for killing X mobs in Y dungeon) reward 100,000 experience, so some achievements actually do reward exp... while most reward dyes.

Given we have the Training Trait + the Cake Buff every so often, adding exp for every kind of achievement seems maybe a little excessive...

And to OP, there is little reason or need for XP for completing an achievement.

All it is is a number right now that tallies up your achievements but presently serves no real purpose.

Slayer Achievements do give a substantial amount of experience.

Example: Veteran Flame Colossus Slayer - Kill 50 Flame Collosi in the Veteran City of Ash dungeon.

There are two slayer achievements per veteran dungeon. One is easier to get, the other typically takes 20+ runs to complete (due to the limited number of the specific enemy, as in the example above, there are 3 per vCOA run).

These slayer achievements are fairly widely regarded as one of the quickest methods to earn CP. At one point this was also regarded as one of the fastest ways to progress in veteran ranks, however the removal of veteran ranks renders this irrelevant.

Since activities that earn achievements earn Experience, you already get Experience getting the achievements.

Experience would not be an incentive for me -- it's too easy to get in-game as it is. However, I do agree that they should implement something for achievement points, even if it's just a small or fun passive unlocked at certain amounts.

There's actually 4 (: The one that everyone fights before the Daedroth, one on each path leading to the Ash Titan, then one at the path everyone skips getting up to the area with the bridge to Skoria.

They've given me something like 163k exp per achievement done. I thought it was a bug at first, heh.

I think you get enough experience as-is, but I'd like to see something for achievement points earned. I dunno, slightly different color nameplate or something. I have like 16.5k and want to feel more special.

I think the amount of experience they already give is sufficient. Sometimes you get 100k-200k for them. That's more than the random daily dungeon.

They don't need a boost, the xp awarded is generous enough already. :)

Some achievements do reward XP. Some don't.

Most notably, each of the "Kill X of Z in Y" veteran dungeon achievements are worth 148200 XP unbuffed (can be higher with ESO+, Ambrosia, etc.). No other achievement rewards anywhere remotely close to that level of XP, however.

I don't care so much for XP, a little bit might help. But you get dyes, titles, trophies and such. So its not that bad to me.

However, I would like for achievements to be account wide. Not that I am lazy and I explored everything already. But it would be nice that if your main got all the achievements that alts would automatically have them as well.

I like this idea. Or maybe there are styles unique to your achievement progression.
