And this is exactly the sort of a**hattery that causes divisiveness in the community. You get trollish behavior from someone who apparently has no vested interest whatsoever, just simply here to be dismissive of other people's input because... well, they're "bored" (or something). People wonder why the forums are "toxic"... well, here's a good example.

How about taking a bit of your own advice and "moving on"? If you've got nothing actually constructive to add to this discussion, then your motives are pretty transparent.

Well how dare we actually ask for quality with such a price or criticize something for any hope of improvement? Its not like this forum is made for us to give constructive criticism or something! HOW DARE WE!

You're being bored and trolling. Unless you have a direct interest in this item, ie. bought it or want to buy it or want to see it improved or like it as it is - I suggest you go elsewhere instead of trolling people who have legitimate issues with it.

You all can complain about it now, tonight and tomorrow.

They still aren't going to fix its quality nor refund anybody their purchase.

thats terrible advice, if you ignore it and not voice yur complaints then they think it is ok to keep putting out "garbage" for $20.

and that meme does not apply to this situation no one is "offended" were disappointed in the quality of the game.

Exactly. And this is the reason why game publishers are lazy these days, because anyone who dares to critique their purchases is branded as "entitled" or something. How about just being a disgruntled customer who actually demands quality service instead of crap?

This is why there's "lemon laws" and all kinds of other consumer protections that exist. Companies get butthurt because the government creates more regulations- well gee, who's fault is that? Perhaps if you actually gave people quality service instead of cutting corners, they wouldn't have a reason to complain?
TL;DR - If you got this far without reading the entire post you're either too lazy or suck at reading comprehension and probably don't belong in a public forum anyway. Just move along, you wouldn't understand.

I doubt they're a consumer. The posts come across to me as anarchistic and divisive, rather than apathetic.

No, I think they just prefer to stir up crap in the forums because they can.

Annoy people who have bought this and are complaining? If so, yep, you've succeeded. Kudos to you. +100 troll points.

True that, but by now the way I saw this game working is that ZOS doesnt even have to act butthurt because ZOS fanboys/girls do it for them... the rest of us are simply entitled just like you said it... Zos KNOWS they can charge 20 dollars for such a badly constructed costume exactly because there are people that defend them, and the only argument they have is "Dont like it? Dont buy it... And the problem with "fanboi-ish" behavior is that it perpetuates bad PR for any company. If a company indeed wants to market itself, it will filter through information (both positive AND negative) and consider a direction that will ensure long term success, rather than catering to a small few "armchair lawyers" who think they have an idea of what's best.

Good companies will consider both- not just praise and back-slapping.

I was initially stoked when I saw the ad upon login. Then I saw it on my character. Nope not happening. So then I thought well maybe the black wolf will work out? Saw the poor visuals upon the mounts eyes and thought "nope" again. Such a shame. All these crowns mounting up from sub and no legit product worth spending them on. ZOS your better than this. Fix the visuals ASAP. But uh...before you do plz fix the lag in cyrodil

You raise a very valid point. Textures on the costume are horrendous. Making those straps for instance actually stand out might make "just" a little difference but it's the details that matter on a costume in the end. That would also make it more worth the 2k Crowns.

I honestly had to check out my graphic settings the moment I previewed the costume

Honestly, I am not expecting anything from this company when their creative directors are just as childish as some people on this forum. Never ever...have I seen such a response from someone to one of their costumers. From a corner cafe? Maybe.

Companies should never give that kind of response to someone that purchased their product, if they dont have anything better to say, than they shouldnt say anything at all. It was a very petty response... best thing? It has like 74 awesome. Even better? Those awesomes contribute to the direction this game is heading. Even better? That is the generation that gets the same treatment in real life, themselves apologizing for it and fight the worlds problems with #s and safe spaces...but I am going off topic here and will probably get my comment removed.

It is hard to imagine anyone thinking this is acceptable work for the money.

To anybody who bought this, I'm sorry. ZOS knows there's a sucker born every minute. They know this because the other 2 hero costume were shoddily produced crap as well and they still sold a lot of them.

If you are disappointed get on the phone and ask for a refund. You might get one. In the future, I suggest you wait for somebody to showcase it before you spend your money.

They shouldn't buy things on impulse but then again ZOS hits them with limited time only high pressure sales tactics . Dont play it... Move to another game"...Oh well...

I agree completely...any serious company would actually care about ALL of their customers, however:

Stop trying to twist what Rich said. That was said in a thread where he was not acting as a dev but as a fellow player. That thread was like a vacation for him to just talk with the community and people like the one he replied to were trying to derail it.

I am not twisting. It is legitimately what he said. I know it was a "fun" thread, I think it was yours? I am not saying the thread is bad, but no matter when and where, you dont talk like that to your customers. If you are ok with that kind of attitude than I feel sorry for you. I worked with customers and have a marketing degree, let me tell you, some of them can be freaking annoying, but never have I behaved this way, in or outside of work.

Yes it was mine and it was just a friendly discussion among players, no administrative presence involved. Now allow me to clear up your misinterpretation:

What you think he said: You know you don't have to play our game right?
What he actually said: You know you don't have to be in this thread right?

As a player he has every right to fend off people trying to call him out like that. As a dev he naturally would've responded differently, IF that thread had been on THAT topic.

Look, whether he acted as a player or not, he is ALWAYS a dev. Period. The mature and respectful choice would have been to completely ignore that question. The people are calling him out like that maybe because they are sick of a broken game after all these years and saw that as the only opportunity to call him out. I am not saying it was ok to call him out, but neither am I agreeing with his behavior.

So he basically has no right or privilege to be himself then just because he's a dev? Yeah, that's not unfair or biased. How would you like it if he ONLY considered YOU as JUST the consumer? People respect a businessman willing to connect honestly without a false smile with his clientele you know. Why do you think that post got all those awesomes? Seriously...

Actually by posting on these forums under his name he's on the job,so no he can't just be himself.I've seen people lose their jobs over this stuff on social media.regardless of position.

Except his job is to work on the game, not be part of the social media. Gina, Jessica, and others of their respective position are the social media handlers. Sure he has appeared on streams but that doesn't mean the social media is his job, just that he actually gives us info straight from the horse's mouth.

Also I suppose Gina is in trouble for throwing a "Get out" .gif at me too since she's on the job? Yeah screw that. I say be yourself, not your job, and as long as you do what your actual job is then you are allowed to cut loose and have fun anytime you want!

P.S. I actually was gonna say the f word instead of screw but it was somehow unfiltered so I changed it so as not to get in trouble lol

ZOS isn't like any other game company . There's no share holders , it's not publicly traded . You guys can worry all day long about what a dev said but I promise you , it's a waste of time . ZOS answers to no one . That's why protests never work and screaming at customer service never works . I think Rich was very honest in his response because it's true . You don't have to be here if you don't like it . lol

I agree so much with @Mojmir & @EstelioVeleth on this one. That response was definitely offensive and inappropriate as he is a game director after all and it's not like the game is running smoothly at the moment. He could have used the player's inappropriate comment to answer while being constructive such as how the game is improving in some ways and that they are working on things (insert whatever you want here). But instead he chose to be rude and it reflects badly on the management team imo as we all know there are many issues in the game right now, and it just made me as a player feel completely offended and like he didn't care at all.

No that's not a thing. He's a dev, he has a responsibility to the players. He didn't handle the question well at all. That was unprofessional.

If he wanted to post as a player he shouldn't of done it under a ZOS tag.
