two rules though
1. Don't get them wet
2. Don't feed them after midnight.
Guars are cuter though!!
Nix Hounds. I love how they were updated for ESO, and I'd been clamoring for a nix hound pet since before the game launched.

I want to buy the dark one though, not the light one! Almost bought it, but want to wait and see if they release the one I want.
I can't use my "Guts" avatar without his Puck! (Berzerk)

I intend to get a pet tarantula when I have the room for it (it's a deathwish for mister spider with a cat around), and yeah the mexican redknee seems to be a pretty relaxed species. I prefer the look of the curlyhair though.HaldaAinur wrote: »

Try one of these - just make no fast or sudden moves, and you will be "environment" for them and they will stay calm.

Lemme put that in perspective for you-
Still think it's cute?

Crabs and lobsters are pretty much like the spiders of the sea- alien looking, but sometimes can be endearing.
Sylvan Nixad gets my vote. It coos, cuts flips and is always happy. He eats a lot of torchbugs, but I lovvvve my little greenspeaker buddy.

Still pretty cool though, if not cute, no?HaldaAinur wrote: »

Web-creating spiders are not that cute though - like this bark spider - those were discovered very late in 2009 in Madagaskar. My partner works with the spider silk proteins of this spider, some of those silk proteins create a self-assembling string, which is about 10 times stronger than kevlar - we try to find ways to get this into industrial production, but it is quite hard and so far no one had success with it.

Cute is not the factor with bark spider silk - whoever gets this into a way, to produce this spider silk on industrial scale, will create a multi-billion dollar business - a bullet proof polo shirt with a much less secure fiber goes for 10,000 US$ a piece - now imagine what this would be with a much stronger spider silk fiber - the market for it is huge, basically all security forces and police fast response units will need this kind of protection. We are working on it, but if we will achieve it in time, is the risky part of the business - but who does not try won't ever get to it. And if not, Biotech is fun and exciting in itself.
