ultimately, i guess its fair for everyone to reminisce and gush over their past heroes but ESO is just hitting its stride. You can live in the past, or forge a future.

Then there are those of us that have been here the whole time watching people that havent really improved at all over the years, thump their chests about how great they are, when really, they got the spot someone else used to hold.

Like lets be real, do you have any idea how many 1VX vids or outnumbered (grossly outnumbered) amazing wipes I could have compiled since launch? Sure it goes right up there with the number of times I overestimated myself and got shrekt, but just because I dont make videos, does that make me automatically notgood? Or any of the other hundreds of players not mentioned herein?

2 of the 6 players mentioned in the first post are console NA so you haven't played against all of the NA players. Your comments are unrelated to the purpose of the first post which is one player talking about who influenced him. You really just want to derail the thread to your current pet peeve.

I also still remember your post of someone else's video in your group not that long ago where the guy is doing a whirlwind display of one zerg wiping another disorganised zerg. People record gameplay for different reasons and people watch them for different reasons. Just because people do it on a regular basis doesn't mean they are saying they are the best.

I always looked up to Kamikazii as a DK. Was she the best? Probably not but she was good and she had a playstyle that I liked and tried to emulate on my DK. Who cares if someone else looks up to someone you don't think is the best, get over yourself.

Lets be fair here.... Kami benefited tremendously from being Empress for months on end on Chillrend.

Fighting Kami's entourage on a daily basis with 4-6 people was also directly responsible for at least half of my development as a player getting better at fighting outnumbered. (first in vice on AD, later in GoS on EP)

Me actually, on Dawnbreaker, hell it was actually a running joke in BDG/TKO ts that that emp was so bad rylana beat it solo, but I think that was before your time (morinth and athyrio were still playing). Just saying. Beating an emp as a magicka DK wasnt particularly hard pre 1.5, unless of course that emp was also a magicka dk.

One of those on the list dueled a pre 1.5 magicka dk emp as a magicka dk sooo ya it was a pretty big WOW at the time, think between 1.2-1.4. and alsofirst time i heard of him Yes he still streams but he streams for noobs and i dont hate him for that unlike others. I dont know what emperor you rekt, but it sounds like he was not a dk emp in which case wouldnt be such a WOW moment considering magicka dk was just stupid op back then, clearly the devs had put a ton of work on them and every other class broken/gimped, but to see one as emperor get rekt by another magickadk knowing they have infinite bats, infinite meteor is gonna put them at the top of the wow list.

Nowadays the wow moments arent so wow because the game has been dumbed down and dueling emps, even magicka dks, is nearly impossible with the cancerous gear in the game like fasalla, malubeth, and then theres mechanics like ult regen, cc breaking, perma snare/roots shields, soft caps, aoe caps, and now poisons.

All im sayin is that the dks he listed have made their mark in times where magicka dks were very competitive, or the hardest to play in the game.

Volendrung, as EP, sometimes DC. I was recruited into tko coz i was probably only guy doing something for ad back in 1.5, after switching sides from the zergy red horde of thornblade, so all i can say is that as a Red or blue, i never encountered those u mentioned in pvp to know how gud they were so thats that.

In fact, ill id like to add someone else on that list of badass magicka DKs pre 1.6.
Krotha - probably the reason why zos had to nerf DK frag shield back then. Dude could solo zergs, no trees or oils needed.

I actually the other day set up a new build on the DK so whenever I get some free time I'll probably log on and give it a test. I have been playing it tho, but only in PvE for vMOL and vSO. I miss playing it, but damn is the dps nice in cyro on my Stamplar.

Panda turned to the dark side at the end and went stam. But yes, Panda definitely deserves a mention too. Crassus Licinius II was pretty much un-killable in 1.5. And he was rocking light armor DK in 1.6 while most DKs(myself included) ran heavy. Had lots of fun doing DKsploits and trolls with him. R.I.P


Vortexman needs a mention too. That's another beast DK that never went stam, and is always extremely tough to kill without other people already wailing on him.
