I'm interested to see how silks of the sun compares to TBS and Julianos for mag DK. Not exactly sure how the math would work out.
Not sure what bug you are talking about...lonewolf26 wrote: »CP160 Master Resto staff, assuming they fix the bug with the legendary staves' enchants not procing.

I wonder if the mighty math lord @Asayre could help answer that question.
SotS:
1064 Max Health
967 Max Magicka
129 Spell Damage
5% increase to all flame damage
Would lose crit obviouslybut the raw base damage increase might compensate, 5% damage to every attack and dot on a mDK i would imagine works out much more damage that the 170 odd spell damage lost to julianos

With so many factors of damage migatation in this game, isn't the 5 set probaly much much less effective?
Welp, bad at math here and no idea how its works in eso mostly, so if anyone who knows more about this topic could chime in? *looks out for asayre*
Even once scaled up, I would not use either set, and as such, there's no reason to wait for Update 11 to make a healer or tank.Master Weapons, duh
Healer's Habit (might make a NB healer again)
Footman (turn my Mag DK into a tank)
I'll still keep using SPC+Worm for any healer and change my resto from vMA to vDSA if I get one in a good trait. The group utility from SPC and Worm is far more important than slightly stronger heals (esp. since there is already so much overhealing).
The tanking scene has changed substantially ever since the Thieves Guild update. The overhaul of CP means that you get so much mitigation from your red points that the extra mitigation from Footman is really just overkill. Thieves Guild also saw the introduction of Tava and the revamp of Ebon with jewelry. Again, group utility is what rules the day in tanking, and I plan to keep using my Ebon+Tava+Bloodspawn setup. Which also means that I have no slot available for a vDSA or vMA tank sword. The conventional wisdom of using Footman is, IMHO, a relic of the pre-TG days.
As for the upscaled Master weapons...
vMA destro > vDSA destro for PvE
vDSA destro > vMA destro for PvP
vDSA resto > vMA resto
vMA Bow > vDSA bow for PvE
vDSA Bow > vMA bow for PvP
vMA DW > vDSA DW
vMA 2H > vDSA 2H
vDSA tank sword > vMA tank sword
If it follows how they did SO I wouldn't worry about running it now, it's going to be completely different. Difficult content around the corner makes me excitedSolarCat02 wrote: »Master Restoration Staff!
I am really excited about that one, actually.
Hoping for a good trait but I will take any trait at this point.
I am pestering my guild's DPS to run vDSA with me repeatedly right now, just so we have it down pat when it's updated...

@Personofsecrets has done some math on mitigation a while back, if I recall.
As I noted earlier in the thread, you get so much mitigation from other sources that you're better off running group support sets like Ebon or Tava than Footman.
