single target: swallow soul
pbaoe: sap
path: refreshing path (good when paired with wall of elements as well.)

on top of that resto heals, and on top of that the new light armor shield.


if your not able to heal as a magicka NB the fault lay with you.

(magicka NB for years, main pvp character as well)

LOL. If you're not healing as a magblade, then you need to L2P.

I have great magicka NB but yes I lack now good heal in PVP...

Lol, I am 600 CP.. try fighting some good Templar in PVP and u will see healing issue

They are good with cloak only..stamina is too much buff in PVP and Magicka nerf

Assault skills are mostly Stamina focused only, have Detonation magicka skills which is also nerf..

Well there's your problem, every mageblade uses a resto on their backbar in pvp. Healing ward is a must for magicka nbs.

What do you need the destro for in pvp?

1v1 a decent Templar will stall out just about anyone with heals, it is a frequent source of annoyance for anyone.

any NB heal alone may not be enough, but they can combine them all at the same time, funnel, then path, then proceed to sap on the path, add in something like rapid regen on top of that and your getting constant heal back, even their go to ult heals them.

also, don't claim they have bad healing if your refusing to use a restoration staff, that's on you. that's like saying my Templar cannot heal and I don't want to use breath of life. . .

next, they are not an easy stand and fight class such as DK or Temp, if your new and don't know how they play your going to suck. don't get yourself into an overwhelming position or go into a group alone. CLOAK! your a magicka NB, spam that stuff. your heals will tick you up whilst cloaked, you can reposition and go again.

make sure you have cleanse for piercing mark, make sure to dodge roll once or twice before you cloak, make sure you fake out what direction you are going before you cloak. consider becoming a vampire so you can mist from into cloak. detect pots will probably reck you, especially if its a group after you.

another good vampire combo is to consider clouding swarm, as its about to end spam cloak, your enemies should instinctively flee from the bats and if you go strait into cloak the bats simply end and you never reappear, and as mentioned mist form into cloak works very well too.

go in and out of combat, sit on the edge poking from range to generate ultimate, then lotus fan in with a proxy up, sap, bats or soul tether, mass hysteria, then GET OUT, cloak and run while they are recovering.

Shadow image can be fantastic if you are epic and know how to use it.

repeat as required.

its you not the class, I promise. and dual wield can be okay, but resto / destro can be more flexible and synergistic, sword and board is also a replacement option that can work.

Im asking myself the same thing, Why need a destro?
DW is burst, concealed, destro is for sustain funnel.
Throw down a healing ward or even light armor ward and you are full health from funnel in seconds.
It sounds like a l2p issue to me. Your cp just show how much grinding you can do

Hundrets of nightblades before you were fine with funnel or healing ward. Just you decided to be a special snowflake

Breath of Life is class ability and not depends on weapon type so they have freedom to choose weapon.

Not using mark, may be good for solo fights. Swarm is a good option have not tried,

Unfortunately resto is just too valuable to give up, especially if you use the lich set for the bonus magicka recovery. For pvp, healing ward is the only heal I ever need other than funnel health.

Then again it has to work for your play style.

"Tell me the best way for my magicka NB to self-heal, but I'm not willing to change anything about my setup"

First off ditch the dual wield or ditch the destro. Resto like others have said is mandatory. I prefer dual wield and resto on back bar. However, some really like destro and resto. I also like resto,resto because I can light attack weave using animation cancel with a resto. If done correctly the light attack beam will auto connect with target.

Secondly, ditch julianos for pvp. Use krags hope. You may have 45k magicka but you have no sustain. You need more magicka recovery. I find siphoning attacks too cumbersome to micro manage and it takes up a slot. Go with more regen/sustain and then you don't need to worry about siphoning.

Thirdly, your gimping yourself by spliting up your monster helms. Pick a set of one or the other. There is no reason to take the extra spell damage from Kena when you could go 4 piece Magnus with dual wield swords. Alternatively, Malubeth is a good healing choice. skoria is awesome for the dot proc chance. Kena is good if your adept enough to fire off two light attacks.

Fourthly, if your a vamp ditch the shooting star and get devouring swarm. The heals are amazing while outputting good damage. It will save your life and is a dot so it procs skoria. It's also non reflectable and costs much less.

Fifth, why are you running funnel health on both bars. Learn to bar swap. Also, no reason to use both force shock and funnel health. The cost decease of funnel and health regain is to much to ignore. Pick one ranged damage spell to spam and stick to it. Destructive reach is ok because it provides a cc but fear would be better.
