Does anyone else notice that you're now being hit incredibly hard?

However, (and forgive me as I can't test this theory atm) perhaps we're so ingrained to thinking we don't need to repair while doing PvP that no one has checked after a few deaths on where their armor protection is at? So say for instance I use some infused pieces, or divines in my gear. I die 5+ times. Now my armor isn't totally broken, but my armor "class" has declined somewhat. Add this into the already talked about sharpened trait...and maybe there's a connection?

    I could be wrong on all of this, I like to play the game, not hurt my meager brain trying to figure out how many ways the Dev's have played with the math this time around. Or the last time...or the NEXT time...lol

    Also I keep hearing impen affects heals, yet I specifically remember ZoS patched for this. Do we need to have to reconfirm impen doesn't impact healing?

    FFS stop changing things that don't need it. Particularly, as if in some complacent fantasy, you are still refusing to acknowledge, nor enter into dialogue about, the many, many things that do need fixing.

    Massive health bars and alliance icons anyone?

    PvP combat now looks like a cheap Manga imitation and my 35k spell resist, 28k armour, 44k health, full Impen, Blazing Shield Templar now feels squishy.

    You might see videos shortly. To be honest, I think the community hasn't had enough time to establish a new meta and is too lazy at times to reconfigure their playing styles/builds. I can understand their frustration too since some gear requires farming 2 hour dungeons in inferior pug groups to get a helm that's going to increase our gold output on kills :(.

    Watch for specific bugs as there are quite a few harming the game.

    I don't run any sharpened but outgoing/incoming damage is still really high. I'm hitting people for 9-10k surprise attacks and occasionally incap strike will hit for 16-17k. (Incap strike is so unbalanced, but that's a different issue.) At the same time, if I'm facing multiple people at a time I also die super fast. This is compounded by the fact that dodge roll + break free costs a lot more and animations feel clunky... it's increasingly difficult to play solo in pvp. Whereas I could have easily taken on a group of pugs before the recent patch, it's a challenge now. This isn't even taking poisons into consideration. :(



    Edit: Also, I know that being able to ambush and leap into keeps is a thing but today I watched over 20 people teleport into the inner of a keep today using gap closers, through the grate in front of the front door or by using NPCs. lmao. Good, I hated siege anyway. :D

    Edit2: More things I've noticed. You have to be standing absolutely still to do things like drink pots. Cloak is still broken, not to lotus fan anymore but to like every other ability. Inability to stealth while crouched even when no one's around. CC abilities are overperforming and I'm sliding across Cyrodiil left and right. And weapon swapping has gone wrong and sometimes I'm holding my bow as a 2hander... it's funny but it messes me up lol.

    Im not sure if it feels like im taking a lot of damage now or that the first two to three things on my recap after I died actually happened, but I was not able to see them hapenning to me.
    Also the health bar never moved according to those first two or three hits so I end up blowing up or dying to wonder what the hell just happened and why my health bar is like taking too long to react into what damage is being done to me and when.

    Since this thread started I have been watching my death recap and the couple of times I have died, I don't see any unusual or excessive numbers, I been watching my numbers and they are about the same, I put my toon back to almost like it was before the DB. I don't feel what you guys are talking about. In fact the group I run with talked about this and none of us feel much different, and we pvp hard and in heavy action for many hours a day.

    whatever is going on its very weird, judging from numbers im getting, I am hitting ppl for less and i am being hit for less, however i see ppl i fight simply pop dead in an instant or I die so quickly I dont know what killed me. I have trouble firing off my ranged attacks, I feel like I have to get much closer now to hit someone, ultimates are not reduced by cost reduction passives, I am perma rooted by bombard, I am being flown away few hundred meters for some reason [not funny when u drop in rivers full of piranha], I see ppl porting inside keeps using gap closers, I see ppl dizzing swing each other from large distance, my abilities got queue preventing me from bar swapping, roll dodge locks my bar for 3 sec sometimes, my food disappears for no reason, combat feels clunkier and unresponsive and I main a sorc so its a whole package of drama and frustration.

    Generally, entire combat feels different, looks different, acts different. Its not the end of the world, I can still perform well, but there are times when things just stop working or not work at all.

    Im sure some of the bugs will be fixed, but the rest of it... bleeeh, another patch that broke more things then fixed, I am not even surprised.

    Play solo for a bit and I guarantee you'll feel a difference.

    It could be a resurfaced Sharpened bug or perhaps a CP related bug. From the earlier posts, people who play on Azura's Star are not experiencing the same damage increase as the rest of us. In my small scuffles inside the Imperial City, I have noticed that healing plays a large or even dominating role in keeping HP up and felt damage was higher both incoming and outgoing, though not armor-ignoring higher. This is in part to Heavy Armor getting a DPS buff, but at the same time I could and was getting focused by 5~6 people, so HP is expected to drop fast.

    What's weird is how it simply drops from time to time. I can go from 80 to 30 in a moment and not much visual feedback on that drop. It could be server lag without latency, or it could a health drain poison bugging out and ticking all at once. It feels higher, but it may not actually be higher. Its weird.

    I play on Azura and damage is certainly way higher than usual. I take way moer damage on my health bar than my combat log shows me, and when an enemy i <50% HP, I can usually finish them off with one or two Crushing Shocks.

    im going to be honest we have actually been talking about this in comms last nite bosses that pre 2.4 where a easy 1 shot within the same group of friends we are actually wiping on ... a good example was todays veteran pledge in wayrest that is well noted to be the easiest v dungeon going ... we can run it in our sleep especially as they are now a good source of poison ingredients but for the live of us on garron the returned was hitting us like i truck with with his beam attack and yes i know hes supposed to hit hard ... but our 2 dps litteraly keel over within the first tick of damage sadly i dont have any pictures or ftc data to share and darkshade cavern on veteran same again bosses we used to clear easy not so easy anymore unfortionaly with us od'in on the db content we havnt got round to runnign many dungeons but now i know more info is needed ill remind my friends to take screenshots etc etc of death reports

    Not sure if this is too off topic from OP's question but I hate the new combat changes. The new animation timing whatever you want to call it is terrible in my opinion. It's not fun, I don't see what it helps, and it makes everything look ugly and slow. I mean, is there anyone that actually likes this new system and if they do, can they convince me to like it too? Combat was what I loved about this game. I don't know if I will ever love this new system.

    Also, the damage does feel much higher to me too and I love that. But it also feels like some attacks over a period of a couple seconds will register all at once on someone and that person will just die with no chance to react.

    Something is wrong totally with armor/spell penetration.. Sometimes in full heavy armor (armor master also) I am able to tank like soooo long vs x opponents, and sometimes i just melt vs 2..

    I haven't been pvping so I don't have video of this , but while riding I was struck by a NPC on the Gold Coast . The attack looked like a Templar javelin . This thing knocked me off a full stamina mount and dropped all my bars down by 3/4's . I have no idea what that NPC attack is called but if I wasn't on my nightblade , it would of got me good . It just looked like an average guard near some house ...

    Just an FYI but light and heavy attacks seem delayed sometimes when registering damage . I was testing heavy attacks today in Wrothgar and half the time I hit a mob with a fully charged heavy the damage didn't always register until I hit them with a skill causing huge delayed damage spikes and the animations are all messed up to..with Dizzying Swing making people slide all over the ground this is just a big mess

    along those lines. While it wasnt in pvp i was reading in another thread about weapon swapping locking up skills until they did something else or swapped back. So if they Used a skill then canceled the ani with a swap. The skill would not fire or register until they did something else or swapped back.

    If it is possible, and people are actually learning how to do this on purpose or even on accident. people could queue up an attack or two and the let them all fire at once on someone. Which would be a Nice spike. Although i would think it would still show in the death recap. Who knows.

    I don't see what is so hard to understand.

    1: Enchants do 300% more damage.
    2: Trait's are now a flat value instead of percentage.

    All of these will increase everyone's damage by a crap load.

    Before, sharpened was a percentage, so if i break it down, i had about 16-18k resistance on my stamina nightblade with Major buff's, 14% (percentage of the old v16 legendary great-sword sharpened trait) of this = 2240 resistance reduction. Now the sharpened weapon trait is a flat value of about 5000 resistance reduction .... you realize that's almost 35% of my resistance.... so basically the flat value sharpened reduces more then double of the old percentage sharpened... (at least for my case with a full medium Armour user)

    Also consider that enchants instead of 1000 damage is about 3000-5000 damage (depends what enchant, you could also use elite vendor 3 piece set weapon/jewelry set's like eagle eye/deadly strike/etc with even stronger enchants). So if 3 player's jump on you and all proc enchants.. your taking 9000-15000 damage instead of 3000 (do enchant's get effected by cryodill debuff? I forget.). Overall the buff's to enchant's make outnumbered fight's even harder to fight against.

    How are player's even questioning damage feel's higher right now with changes like these? OF COURSE IT'S HIGHER!

    I'm thinking you should take a look at my above example's and possibly get the dev team to re-evaluate the sharpened trait. Everyone already use's this trait in pvp and it's pretty much performing twice as well as it used to.

    Enchant's also have become a lot stronger because the Dev's wanted poison's to be equal strength. It's however in my opinion kind of hard to balance damage enchant's compared to the de-buff's poison's apply to you. I suggested either buffing the health given to you in cryodill or re-balance poison's + enchants and make them both weaker. Enchant's are offering player's way to much burst potenail, you Dev's can't just be increasing damage without giving us equal mitigation buffs to compensate or else damage will be a problem again (which is already happening).

    Hopefully my comment help's. This is just what stick's out to me.

    Well some of the ZOS developers thought it was a good idea to introduce FoTM poisons and bump weapon enchants... the result is posts like these.

    3rd (?) time that PvP turns into insta gib due to power creep...

    Cyrodiil is so br0ken atm... skills not working, gap closers bugging out, ultimates not working, health bars covering most of the action, even "The Golden" one is sick of it and decided not to show up.

    I end up with 5 poisons running on me. I can see their icons all red, nasty, and ticking down. As a Templar I fire off my Purge, which should dispel all 5. Heck, it should dispel at least 2, right? Nope. Not a single one. I recast it again, and again, and again. No nada. Nothing is ever purged. All I can do is just spam heal the crap out of myself until their timers finally run down.

    Things are very very wrong in PVP.
