Also your CP rank can be misleading. My DK for instance just hit v1 days before the patch, but looking at him with 501+ CP you'd have no idea I'm not as practiced with him as my Nightblade who earned the vast majority of my points.

Now (and it is starting to show it's ugly head already); your build won't matter, your class won't matter, Healer/Tank/DPS... none of it matters after this change.
All that matters is if your Character has a CP501 next to their name. If you don't? Shaming, ridicule, and getting booted from a Group (if you even get an invite at all...) are going to be commonplace if that number isn't 501.
And all the PvP kiddos screaming their heads off for the removal of Vet Ranks, just so they can have a full slate of eight max-level characters in the shortest amount of time possible, they're the ones who should be held responsible for this. This is the abortion that their impatience created.
It will only get worse, OP.

550 CP does not automatically make you a "better" player. It just means you have had a lot of time to play the game.
You could still suck big time.
The only thing that makes you a better player is your actual skill, which has nothing to do with how many CPs you have ...
Well... that's where they complained. The Forums.Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »And this type of CP Elitism/shaming was what many of us (who were/are still very much against the removal of Vet Ranks and going to only Champion Points) warned Zenimax and the Community about before the change.

Funny all I do is PvP and I never asked for this change and haven't seen anyone in zone chat in pvp complaining and asking for this either. Maybe people on the forums complained or asked for it but not the people I've seen actually playing the game. It was so easy to get vr16 anyway most pvp'ers wouldn't really care. Roll the change back - I don't care either way. But doesn't seem fair to blame folks doing PvP for folks doing PvE judging/alienating other folks doing PvE - blame those being elitist.
Game should just have a difficulty slider for PvE and level 50 characters should just be called "Champion" and maybe a way to view the CP but no reason to have it displayed not have it displayed on the NPCs.
All they had to do was take away the vet ranks, hide the CP and keep it at lvl 50.
But na they gotta be weird about it.
As an odd idea to throw out...
What if we just let people choose for themselves who they group with and by that if they choose to use cp501 as a benchmark, its ok.
Just like if someone wants to start an all templar only templar guild.
Or should we start masking sfx so you dont know someone is a sorc bc some people might not want a sorc in the group?
FWIW 501 or whatever cp value you want IS at least a metrick of time playing.
As for only show to 160... is it fine thdn to draw the line at 150?
Not defending the chatter nonsense or insults.

This sounds elitist and infers that you would kick a V1 from your vICP 'gold run' based on ranking alone, even though they have the right to pick up the pledge and access the veteran dungeon. Anyone who has completed the main story line (and generally reached level 50) is at 'end game content' and has every right to be there.
I admit some may not be ready for the tougher content but you cannot tell that by rank and outfit alone. Ability should be observed before judgement is made. My vet tank ran a dungeon through group finder the other day with a level 23 who had 550 CP and we had a dream run. On other days I could run the same dungeon with players leveled in the 30's and 40's (on their first character) and struggle.

...Well, before Vet removal people could see your vet rank the whole time and no one complained about that.
It's your level, which defines your overall capacity, statwise. get over it.
