Look again, it's not just about the cheating. The bugs that we're being used, aka alkosh....combined with a full rebalancing of the game essentially makes whatever score was put up yesterday and a score put up tomorrow an apples to oranges comparison.
The below post indicates that there is a way to detect it beyond people witnessing it.timidobserver wrote: »I would prefer that they just remove any scores for anyone that was banned. Removing all scores basically punishes the people that were not cheating.
There is no way to ban people who used it in PvE, because of well no witnesses hence no proper reports.

We've adjusted our automatic anti-cheat systems to focus specifically on the cheats we've seen in the last few days, in addition to launching investigations on specific players. We've permanently banned 43 players in the last 24 hours who were found to be cheating. We don't take cheating lightly, and will continue to ban those who are found to be cheating. We'll be going back through game logs to identify players who were violating our anti-cheating policies in the hours before we performed the automatic cheat detection adjustment.
In addition, we're working on a number of fixes and improvements to prevent this kind of behavior from happening in ESO in the future. We'll provide more specific details about this tomorrow.
We want to thank everyone who has helped us identify those who would ruin your game experience by cheating, and the means by which they were doing so.

I don't really care about bugs and exploits. Someone is always discovering some bug to exploit. I am fine with just dropping people that have been banned in relation to cheat engine from the leadboards. The below post indicates that there is a way to detect it beyond people witnessing it.timidobserver wrote: »I would prefer that they just remove any scores for anyone that was banned. Obviously speaking about second best on the server.
My elxpert oppinion? Considering some of your replies in here are clearly trolling, your obvusously only interested in forcing your oppinion onto others and do not have the intent starting a discussion.

If they reset leaderboards every time there is some minor exploit or bug, they will be resetting them every other week. I'll be satisfied if they just remove any impact of the cheat engine thing from the leaderboards.
A leaderboard reset is necessary. Even leaving aside exploits, the balance changes are simply too great. We've had a reset every quarter since IC, so it's pretty much normal by this point. Just do it.

Honestly, damage should be boosted enough now that most leaderboard scores will be trumped, other than that silly Sorc VMA score which should just be manually deleted if cheat engine was involved.

"We are currently evaluating when and if we will reset additional PvE leaderboards." - v.2.4.5. patch notes
Is this really a discussion @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_Finn @Wrobel ?
I can name just a few reasons why you need to reset ALL the PVE Boards again:
1. You've completely "rebalanced" the game again. Poisons, traits, skills, CP. literally everything has changed again.
2. Cheat Engine, I mean at this point you may as well burn the leaderboards since cheat engine was even a thing.
3. Bugs, aka, "Roar of Alkosh: Fixed an issue where the Physical and Spell Resistance debuff applied from this item set was stacking.". was this being used by top players to get 40k+ dps? and now it's removed? will that be a fair competition? Please xplain this one more.....was this on live or just pts?
I came up with these reasons in like 30 seconds, can the community come up with more?

I believe there was only one guild who knew about the alkosh bug, well thats all i knew good for them for reporting it.timidobserver wrote: »I would prefer that they just remove any scores for anyone that was banned. Removing all scores basically punishes the people that were not cheating.

At this point I should of left the Cheat engine part out of it cause people here get tunnel vision. This leaderboard reset should happen with or without the CE issue, The changes to gameplay and bugs warrant a reset in and of themselves!!!!!
