    Sigh. Well, it's still going to happen. Still wish they had taken more time and care. I understand they are a for profit company, but these horrid bug inducing DLCs are just not fun...

    It doesn't matter as ZOS simply will ignore any input.

    In previous PTS sessions a lot of players, including me, have provided feedback. they didn't care and threw out their buggy mess. the game itself is still in a beta phase and therefore it doesn't matter if a beta dlc will be release or not. at least it seems ZOS is thinking like that.

    Can't speak to prior PTS, but it is simply not true that ZOS is ignoring us this time. They have listened and fixed many bugs, including some long standing ones.

    Performance is better on DB PTS. My FPS is much better on PTS, as in better than anything I have ever seen on live even in the wee hours of night with no one else around. The best I have seen on live is 60FPT but on PTS I got as high as 100FPS. The bug where running my mount would result in worse and worse FPS is gone. When I use wayshrines I don't have to wait for like 20 sec after while my FPS and latency catch up. My game does not run slower and slower on PTS so I don't have to quit and restart the game every 30 to 60 minutes. It does not crash no matter how many times I switch characters. Will all this scale up for live or will it still be a lag fest when there are more players around? We don't know because so bloody few players have bothered to PTS.

    What they are not doing is making all the changes the testers want, or stopping the changes the testers don't want. With the exception of a couple of voices, everyone who has tested the upcoming changes to gathering/farming runes thinks it is a bad idea that makes things worse than on live. ZOS listened but did what they want anyway. Well, it is their game.

    Vast majority of feedback says poisons are OP, cause massive issues in 1vX and xvX PVP, while being unnecessary in PVE. Most who have commented on it also want Snake's Blood to reduce the effects of poison. Again, they listened but will go ahead anyway.

    Without a large population of testers -- which we did not have -- we don't know how craft bags will affect the economy. I speculate that the effect on prices and guild income will be huge but, again, we just won't know until it hits live. As a player I really, really, want my bag, but from a broader perspective I really do expect at least a minor crash in the economy.

    They have been more willing to take player feedback on class nerfs and have rolled back some of the most disruptive. But not all, and I have to feel sorry for a sorc relying heavily on her shields. You get to L2P all over again.

    Could ZOS have been convinced to stop or redesign some of these changes if we had longer or if more people were on PTS? Perhaps. But that did not happen so buckle up baby, live is goin' for a ride.

    I really just want the base game patch most of all, I need those vet ranks gone.
    They do need to fix poisons tho, gonna be alot of salt in PvP.

    Yes, they've listened to our suggestions and a month was enough time to test it for bugs.

    Well, first, lotsa things that had bern asked on these forum were in the first pts release and coming in live.
    Then
    during pts period they:
    Reversed runes plan and allowed harvesting potencies.
    Raised value on purge and doing it again.
    Reverted power or reverb shield plan
    Lengthened one of the shields by double iirc
    Reversed vFX for dk decision
    Etc etc etc.

    There are plenty of examples of them listening before and during and moving either specificalky to what the players asked for or in the same direction.

    There is a world of difference between "dont appear to listen" to the ectent you describe and not following ALLVFEEDBSVK or doing it all EXACTLY AS SUGGESTED BY FEEDBACK.

    Its almost as if they had some other source of information to draw on than just forum posts, like maybe exact to-the-second details on everything done on the pts server or something and then included that in their analysis.

    Or maybe its as you say and they didnt listen. Hard to tell since we hsve no knowledge of anything they chsnged i guess.

    The game was originally intended to only let you play through your own faction's areas. It's only after all of the whine and QQ from beta testers that they gave us the ham-fisted "do all three factions and spend far too long grinding levels", bringing with it VR, Silver and Gold.

    I have finally seen a coherent explanation of the change to runes and given that VRs are going away and how the new system will work, I acknowledge that this change is necessary. For details of why, see this post:

    Yes, we've had a whole month.
    It doesn't matter what you say it is going live,

    Developers don't like to put out buggy code and this is VERY true,
    However they have no say in whether or not it is going live,

    That is a management call and management have decided it will go live and that bugs can be fixed there after.. lol....

    No, it's only been a month and there's a lot of issues to be addressed.
    There are still sets that need to be nerfed to grant that players are good when they use skills and not only by standing there and doing nothing! So balanace is even more bul_lshit than before.

    From what I've always understood about PTS most issues that are reported are never addressed anyway, to me it's always just seemed like a gimmick to sate the masses and make it look like the community is involved in the process while really zos aren't listening at all and are only interested in pushing out the dlc no matter how broken it is..

    There is no amount of time on PTS that would make ZOS listen to the players.

    I don't see the point of keeping a PTS if they won't listen to the player feedback.

    Simply throw that beta DLC right onto live and be done with it.

    I'm more concerned about enchanting changes and the VR to CP conversion that needs to be readdressed.

    The DB part, other than a few minor bugs is ready

    As far as content goes, I believe people who would run through the content had already done it. As far as some trial such as Sanctum Ophidia goes, I'm not even sure we had seen any buzz going around it at this point so I kind of believe the content testing is done for most people and that there should not be much turning back for this at this point.

    As far as base-game goes, we kind of have to agree that this is an ungoing thing which would great more or less powerfull classes, more or less powerfull abilities as well. What we can probably understand from how the testing have went regarding that aspect is that :

    PVP communities wants to keep strong iconics class features and try to level any class who don't have that kind of strong inconnics class feature. All this without increasing the potent burst of some class which are well known for that aspect. I'm talking here about Incapacitate and also some other NB skills along with some Sorcerer ability.

    PVE communities wants to increase sustain DPS of some of the classes while maintaining the original gameplay of class, mainly the burst class who lack of sustain DPS, they also want to see a better balance through the overall class experience along with better Set to fit every class. Most of the actual set being consider DK set.

    Both communities seems to agree that they no longer want to see Toggle ability Inside the game, the use of two bar in order to keep a dedicated bonus seems to be a huge part of people complain. We can see it through some topic about Guard and also Inside the official Sorcerer thread.

    Actually, It's a given for me that the revamp of the Champion system in order to balance thing out is important but that can't happend yet*. Also there are some class and some ability who would need a revamp but this can be part of another patch coming soon after release of the DLC. So if Zos want to launch the DLC, I'm down for it since content seems to have been tested and if yet they have in mind to keep an eye out for some more adjustment to be made soon after the DLC is launch it would be amazing !

    * Champion System *

    The overall performance of the Champion system as it is now is good but the actual simplicity of the champion system is a major issue, since any cap increase will lead to a huge inbalance inbetween Dot class and burst class, since one can really benefits from a lot more bonus then the other using the thaumaturge champion.

    The overall performance of the champion system is at the moment a key feature in controling the overall balance of the game for further DLC to come. The actual system being too broad to support an increase of the CP cap as often as some of the community member would like it. It would be Something to consider actively if Zenimax wants to release more important DLC then those we played with at the moment.

    BTW @ZOS I'm not against one mandatory expansion to buy per year in order to improve the overall content or help design new orientation for the game !

    Beta testing in this game is the time that exploits and new hacks are tried before going to live.
