it's far from modern and isn't american in origin.
I don't believe I said or implied that vulgarity was either modern or American. I just said modern American street talk is unimaginative.

It's not that hard @starkerealm. Thrust sword into something soft and squishy then pull trigger.
hehe... I'm pretty sure it's just a cosplay prop. It's not mine. I just pulled it off the dinternets.

edit plus in a fight against a zombie I don't have to block another blade
Mostly because the iron they started with was pretty much stuff an european smith would be laughed out of the forge trying to make weapons with... all that folding? A neccessity to even get to halfway decent blades with the stuff they had...
No surprise when one remembers that samurai originally were not swordsmen, but master archers! Only when european firearms stole their thunder so to speak, they needed something to salve their egos to compensate for their, uhm, lost battlefield potence, and thus the myth of the magical katana was born!
(not that european legends didn't also have a lot of "magical" swords with pretty wild capabilities attributed to them, from cleaving through a man in full plate armor in one blow to change their color a dozend times a day...)
If you want to talk real high quality blades that came as close as you could to legends of "magical swords" in their time, you might like to look at damascus steel...
For the zombie apocalypse I have to say though, a durable weapon that does not fail you in a pinch would be a pretty good idea. So... more fire axe and less katana. Sledgehammer might be a bit too tiring to use unless you have a good deal of muscle. Personally I would really consider the katana in my replica collection last, and grab the cutlass or viking axe instead...

Thing is after i do that sometimes i get killed in group
A question tho,
The game is rated Mature 17+ but i have not seen a single sexual Theme or Gore(Saw a little blood)... I dont understand why is that.
I would have thought you'd say something like 'See you in Sovngarde Milk-drinker!' after all if you killed them in battle...
Well its a common fact that Milk-drinkers! are not allowed in Sovngarde

The moment that scene came, that soothing voice and seeing Gerlats heart almost shatter I started crying like a baby xDDD next thing I did was to send my best friend a link to the song (she is also a big fan of Geralt and Yen`s love).
I dont think I could go for Triss, she always seemed rather slimy to me, I dont like that xD, and just like you said, the history they have and you can definitely see the connection!
I wish so much there would be a very romantic love quest in ESO (if I missed it please direct me to it)... something that feels immersive! Maybe a vampire love story ;____;...
I am sorry OP, got myself distracted off topic a bit!
I was stealing stuff and an NPC called me a "son of a dog". I mean, really? How old are we? Five? What's with this fear to use some vulgar language that fits the scene?
If I caught someone stealing my stuff, the last thing I would call them is a "son of a dog"...

We may not be children, well some of us are goats, however just because we are big kids now and know all the dirty words sadly does not translate to games. Why? ESRB and money.
Take for instance, theESRB for Witcher 3. Now here is the ESRB for ESO. Let's do an Adults Only or AO game like GTA: San Andreas which doesn't even give us a descriptor really of the rating.
So in short, the ESRB dictates ratings on personal whims that the stores use to decide whether or not they want to carry the product and devs of games are going, you rated this M and it has that word in it yet we include the word and we get an AO. ~FAVORITISM~~IN-EQUAL TREATMENT~~SOMETHING ABOUT ILLUMINATI~
Basically, the ratings are a half-assed conundrum that make no sense and are in no way a good scale on what a game should be rated and act as something for retail employees to point out when parents ask if South Park's Stick of Truth would be good for their 8 year old son because it looks cartoony. And if you want to know, all I had to say was 'how do you feel about *** fetuses?' to those parents. Killing Nazis is a-okay in Medal of Honor but the fetuses were a step too far as I was told. Who knew?
Good song and scene...definitely inspired by the scene from Beowulf where the queen captivates him with a sweet song.EstelioVeleth wrote: »@Volkodav @failkiwib16_ESO Do you ladies remember this song?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bSk-8C76dc

I don't know where you see Geralts heart shatter though, he's a Witcher so he's not emotional and sensitive.

@Vigarr I will have to "diss a brie" my friend (ha ha get it?... Im so sad ;___;) I think Geralt has a lot of feelings that he just suppresses, he is the kind of person like my husband, that seems to be made of stone, cant cry but feels deeply... most of his heart shattering moments are with Ciri, heck he made ME feel like a dad and I am a straight woman that doesnt want kids xD.
Example: This video from minute 13 on:
But different people see people differently, also a big reason is that we imprint some of our own feelings in characters, I think. (sorry if it is hard to understand, my english is not the best xD)
I haven't finished the game yet so I won't watch the vid if it contains ending spoilers. I'm one of those men who rarely cries (as in only during the funeral of a loved one) so I understand feeling deeply without showing it.
