At least I didn't waste my time doing another 20 runs, only to end up buying it from a vendor.

Get over it. Forced PVE for one of the best sets in the game was never fair. Now PVP'ers have their opportunity too, and it happens once every couple of months. Also, 10+ runs for a molag kena helm is child's play. Mine took like 40.8 -

It's only being a hamster when you've done it so many times without getting it -- RNG is a silly system. I weren't even relying on the end rewards in Maelstrom, I was relying on the weekly rewards to get my weapons, so that's one run a week. That game has difficult dungeon in it.
If you complete that content, you have a chance (terrible RNG, sure) to get a helmet.
Those who got it, were pretty much lucky/farmed it -too- much.
Now that game adds a vendor which sells that helmet, so you can completely skip the whole dungeon and just buy the end reward (even after they nerfed it a couple of times, making it easier to farm.)
Is that okay with everyone? wow....
They're just providing another avenue for obtaining said items. It means those that like/participate in AvAvA can obtain it, and those that don't like running a dungeon over and over again can obtain it.

They catered to the pvp community in pve when they gave these sets to the vendors.
They catered to the pve community in pvp when they doubled the ap value for everyone and lowered the assault/support cap requirements. It is now incredibly easy to get pvp skills. Be thankful vigor isn't rank 10 with half the gains, like it used to be.

✭✭✭✭I've never run WGT and have done maybe 5 dungeons ever. I also run all infused Julianos and Magnus. Take away 1 piece of Magnus and I get to trade 129 recovery for 129 spell and weapon power. Thank you ZOS! An infused Kena helm was literally the perfect piece for me!0 -
