Yeah this is my only complaint about this, too. I don't mind that it is expensive, I just would have preferred some longer notice of the price so I could have budgeted to get this. And because it's limited, I won't be able to.
I went through that with the Zombie Horse. He's the one I would have paid a good amount for.Not 5000k,but maybe 2,500k.

✭✭✭✭✭What makes sad the most is that they didn't account for the many of us who only get paid once a month and by the end of the month there isn't spare money to buy crown packs. With the mount being up for 5 days I won't be able to get it because I don't get money till the 3rd. I had saved 2500 crowns all month hoping I could afford it and I'm quite sad that I can't get this mount because of a 3 day difference

✭✭I don't understand the business logic here, sure the "Limited time, buy now!" ploy always sells something shiny but the sticker price has cost them many customers that they could've made so much more money from. I play with 2 friends and we were all prepared to spend 2800-3000 tops on this (3000 is pushing it) yet now none of us will buy it...that's 9000 crowns worth of $ lost with us alone.
Maybe they're ok with a small margin of sales on things like this so fire farting panthers don't clog their server or something.
