I have been subbed for a very long time so all i read was "blah blah GREED blah blah" i'm so freaking done defending this kind of moves but what ever i have self control so i won't be buying the space neon cat, it just needs to be said it is not acceptable to slap this kind of prices to things because before you realize it the 1500 crowns a month from the sub is going to be equal to what currently is 500 crowns due to the exponential increase in the prices of items in the store. It might be visual and cosmetic but i have never met a gamer who can be wearing the same armor using the same mount for months and still say he is a happy camper.

Its a shame the only way to aquire it is through real money in the crown store I would rather just buy it with Ingame gold.

They pulled a business as usual move. Either buy it or don't. Vote with your wallets and let the market sort itself out. If this item doesn't sell as much as they want, they won't price things like this again. It really is that simple.

Overpriced a tad maybe? But at least it's vanity. ZoS is nowhere near as bad as EA. Swtor locks tons of stuff to F2P players, gives too weak bonuses to DLC purchasers, and gives subscribers every bonus from here to Pluto. The only mmos that I think are close to as fair as ESO is GW2 and Tera.

ZOS knows what they are doing. They are offering those that want a rare item to get a rare item (that is truly rarer than other mounts that were less expensive). For ZOS to earn money on mounts, there are plenty of other mounts for less crowns available. So, they aren't loosing anything contrary to a simplistic economic equation.

It wouldn't be RARE if it was inexpensive and everyone had it. Even though it is limited time. Don't like the price, don't get it. Those that have it ooooh and aaaaah and wish you had gotten it. Or, spend the money and get it and be the envy of everyone. It is YOUR choice.

Rare items also make people love the game and keep spending more money.

I think they are overpriced however I purchased one mainly due to I sub and haven't wanted to spend crowns on anything else so the crowns were piling up.

Must say your post feels a little green with envy is there a need to call people show offs?

It's a nice mount but if it doesn't poop motifs then it's not worth 4k

I sub, for now, and have crowns piling up. Doesn't mean the thing isn't a rip off.

If ZOS has metric data that shows who actually spent more money on crown packages to get this over those who have sub crowns stacked so they see if it sold extra crown packs, then I might waste crowns on it.

But since I doubt that have that kind of metadata, my crowns will sit in virtual bank, unused.

I'd rather sit on a 4k Senche and be happy than sit on 4k crowns and never buy anything because I disagree with the value of everything and wish to be seen as making some point.

I'm not just paying for a mount though I'm investing in my entertainment, if it entertains me and enables Zos to make more content for the future then it's a win

This price is hilarious. What's more hilarious is people will pay it, no questions asked. It is after all, in effect, the Emperor's new clothes.

The more the prices rise on this stuff, inch by inch, the more ground customers give when they buy this stuff, and the more the industry accepts moving further and further into this kind of 'selling overpriced fluff for a quick buck' business model. This time next year, or maybe the one after, it'll be a mount for 4,500, and again people will thrust their credit cards into the faces of ZOS.

Wether it is purchased at full price (4,000 crowns do NOT cost $40 nor have they ever) or with half-price crowns from taking advantage of the previous sale event (that would put it at a little over $15) or just extras laying around from subbing… I don't need it…. I just want it.

So why hack on people with the mount?

Trying to figure out the big deal here.

personally i love the game i have a sub so i basically save the crowns up

i also buy crowns on sale atleast 2 x 5k purchases every sale

i dont get where u think u have the right to complain about the pricing of something .

if u cant afford it so be it

if u dont think its value for money dont buy it

all the qq in this post drives me crazy that u all think u have the right to this item ... u dont if u cant afford it

i personally think the mount looks cool as hell and ive brought 1 for both my accounts

Hell no its not worth 4k crown. But hell aside from cheating the banker wasn't worth 5k either.

They just throw random prices on it and in 6 months it will be back at 50% discount for those that wait.

Look, ill agree that this is not as bad as some of the Things EA does, however a 40$ mount.....This is bad, and something i could see EA doing in a heartbeat, so while its not as bad as the worst of EA, its definatly something they would do, as such, i stand by my comparison. It may not be P2W, but that doesnt really comfort me at all

Since I live on a budget, and could have purchased this mount had they told us the price at the beginning of the month but didn't, I have realized I am too poor for this game. Oh well. It is what it is. Enjoy your special mounts people.

Yeah this is my only complaint about this, too. I don't mind that it is expensive, I just would have preferred some longer notice of the price so I could have budgeted to get this. And because it's limited, I won't be able to.
