I will. My main is a Tank and always will be, but I am working on being able to switch to DPS when I need too to give it a bit of much needed variety.

    The poll serves no purpose.
All the people currently tanking are in love with that role and won't give up that easily.

The tank wannabes left when the stamina regen got removed.

I might continue but I'm not going to lie that I'm not looking forward to the changes and if it comes out that I need to redo my entire set up instead of some mild changes that are easily manageable, then I'll quit.

Never liked tanking anyways so it's of little consequence if I stop.

there is no tanking in this game lol. there are no mechanics to support it . Calling the stam builds wanna be's is lame. You may enjoy being a DPS with a taunt but many do not. Im not talking about shield blockers. But the people that actually wanted to be a traditional tank wear heavy armor and have it mean something, actually have abilites that support tanking ,Mechanics that support true tanking. this is just DPS and a taunt . Dont try to act all superior. I've done all the trials minus the last in veteran. and all the Four mans multiple times its not tanking at all its DPSing with a taunt. Or are you a pure PVP'r ?

I'm very much in love with the tanking role and have been a tank since launch, still stuck with it after the removal of block regen as it wasn't hard to adapt. however the changes in DB are regrettably too much.
I switch to a medium armor setup to do other content, VMSA, PvP etc and it requires nothing more than a change of clothes & skills.
The DB changes mean not only would I have to re-craft my perfectly good tanking gear and grind/buy/cadge another 72 tempering alloys, but I'd also have to pay 3k to respec my cp's every time I swap setup to either tank or do something else, since they've decided tanks need to choose between reducing block cost or reducing ability cost by having them all under the green tree whatever it's called. Not a great prospect for a stamina DK whose abilities run off the same resource he has to block with.

No I'll be staying in my PvP clothes after the patch and there'll be one less tank in the near-tankless group finder.

To be honest, you can just maintain several characters. And also it does not require dedicated tanks for vet dungeons anyway.

    Unsure.

I'm going to sit on my tank for a while. My other toons are going to get priority on getting geared up and running; once I'm happy with them and have restocked my tempers, I'll revisit my tank. Meanwhile, she can keep crafting for my active toons.

Absolutely, even made a build that wasn't the Ult Gen Meta so that I could have some fun doing it without the dull dodge mechanics ( really hate Tava's Favor relying on Dodge).

Based on math I've seen comparing block cost reduction and constitution on live to PTS last week the difference is minor. No reason for concern.

    Swapping back to Magicka-tank.

Stam was fun for a bit, but magicka-dk tank is just too alluring.

Yes, I have another alt to be a healer and backup dps. My regular group does rely on my tank as the main one, but has not yet succeeded on making it through all the vet dungeons yet, so we have a ways to go in terms of play improvement. I also do tanking for PUGs, and expect to find differences in PUG capabilities to far outweigh any tanking changes with DB.

If I only had one character who I wanted to be able to really tank, and really do dps, I might be upset, but I have two, and if I really wanted a min-maxed dps as well I'd make a third. I am also fortunate in a sense that my tank and highest level character just dinged VR16, after playing since the game started, so I don't have to remake a lot of gear. If I already had the perfectly geared tank, and had to change it, I might also be unhappier, but it has been pretty clear in MMOs I've played in that today's perfect build may change tomorrow when the rules change.

By the time it comes out, I'll have a lot more CP than I do now plus the extra 40 bonus. Focus less on blocking, more on damage reduction via Hardy / Elemental Defender and additional self-healing options. All my tanks are magicka based, the stamina cost increases would be make it difficult to function and I'm not going to bother with Sturdy.

    Yes.

But my hatred for waiting in line for a DPS is stronger. Really though, if I can't deal with the changes- looks like I'll just be healing all the time on a different character.

Yes started my first tank 2 weeks ago. He's a nord and is only v3 so far. It's so much fun trying new builds.

It's done a few vet dungeons and pledges in PUGs already and hasn't caused a wipe yet... Been easy mode tbh, also not reliant on healer is great as many "healers" in Pugs are usually Dps ppl with no actual heals.
