@pjwb16_ESO If you are going to argue against Stamina Sorcerers due to lore then you better know what you are talking about. Sorcerers in Elder Scrolls lore are not robe wearing spell casters.
In game class description from Oblivion:
Besting the most well-equipped fighters, Sorcerers rely on the spells of the mystic arts. Unique to these mages is the bodily stamina to be armed with the thickest armor. Sorcerers also possess the unique ability to absorb magicka from spells targeted at them, serving in essence as magical "batteries", and possess more magicka than any other mage class.
Sorcerers are adept at the use of a wide variety of weapons and armor, but typically do not utilize shields, preferring to keep their hands free for defensive spellcasting instead, their specialty.
In game class description from Morrowind:
"Though spellcasters by vocation, sorcerers rely most on summonings and enchantments. They are greedy for magic scrolls, rings, armor and weapons, and commanding undead and Daedric servants gratifies their egos."

If you really want to have a Sorcerer Class which uses Stamina as their main pool instead magicka, I would say that the animations of the stamina skills should keep the flair of magic. Take for example Magicka Skills and just make morphs available that use stamina e.g. a stamina morph of force pulse for a staff or at least make it like you are able to summon a melee weapon and then use stamina as a ressource for this summoned weapons skill. This would require a new weapon skill line "summoned weapon" or something similar. Maybe put it in the Sorcerers class tree or in the weapon trees but do not just make a sorcerer just another melee berseker without any individuality.
Please consider what it would do with the immersion and lore of the game.
Some great feedback in here. We're looking at addressing the following issues:
- Lack of Sorcerer passives that are effective with stamina builds
- Critical Surge doesn't proc with Flurry or DoT based builds
- Stamina sorcerer doesn't feel unique from other stamina classes

Funny how this isn't even the official class feedback thread and Eric Wrobel stopped by to respond for sorcerers. Hey Eric how about you respond to the Templar thread for a change?

Not gonna lie, I've always been a little jealous of the of the ability that some of the bosses have where they slam their 2 hand weapon on the ground, releasing a cone of lightning.
Edit: I would be willing to compromise with the new wind theme here. Instead of lightning make it a gust of wind.

Honestly don't know why you complain so much about other classes when all you do is zerg on PS4 and when you are alone, you instantly squeal like a pig for help from your fellow zerglings and still get 1vX. Just another terrible player with a L2P issue and doesn't know how to adapt. So do yourself a favor and stop zerging the entire map and then you may once and for all get better at the game.

I really like this idea. It would also make it easier for the devs if they could just copy the animations from an NPC attack. But you are right, some of the 2H thunder/lighting NPC abilities do look sweet!
How about a stamina version of Streak called Gust or Breeze or something like that? Casting this skill would send you wooshing through the air, leaving swirling clouds of dust in your wake like the Road Runner:
@Emma_Eunjung
I think the following abilities are the best candidates for changes tho:
Chrystal Blast:
- Almost never used effectively in any scenario, not even by Magicka Sorc

Please leave Crystal Blast alone. Magicka Sorcs don't have another spell like it to use in it's place. I tried Fragments, but waiting for it to proc didn't fit my style, which is mostly Ranged Aoe Magic DPS

First off and I am probably in the minority here but I really dislike the new wind aesthetic for Stam Sorcs. I made a Stam Sorc to be a lightning-based melee warrior. So please , in the name of Thor, revert back to the name Thundering Pressence and give me back my lightning.
Secondly I am tired of suggesting the same things over and over. Every Stam Sorc thread asks for a spamable dps skill (Please no frags stam. I really hate the Fishing for Frags random playstyle), and some other forms of stam morphs along with some better synergy with class passives, and fixes to our damage ie normalizing things to physical damage where applicable including our ultimates. We all keep asking and ZOS while reading doesn't seem overly interested in going down this road.
So as a new off the wall suggestion how about introducing some crafted sets of gear (or drops although I would prefer the ability to craft them ) that offer Stam Sorcs what we are after? There are already sets out there that add elemental type damage bonuses like Skoria or Ashen Grip. Why not make a lightning based set that provides benefits to Stam Sorcs? Off the top of my head....
Set of the Thunderwalker
2 piece bonus - x Stam
3 piece bonus - x Weapon Damage
4 piece bonus - x Stam Recovery
5 piece bonus - While Thundering Presence is active light and heavy attacks store up lightning energy. Activating Thundering Presence again sends out a lightning discharge doing x damage to all enemies in the area
or
Set of the Surge Master
2 piece bonus - x Stam
3 piece bonus - x Weapon Damage
4 piece bonus - x Weapon Crit
5 piece bonus - Activating Critical Surge in addition to its base effects also embues your weapons with lightning energy allowing your light and heavy attacks to do 25% more damage
or maybe this 5 piece bonus reverses the damage allocation of Rapid Strikes, making the first hit the most powerful one?
I mean I would rather ZOS fix the balance in the class itself but it seems like they like to use sets to deal with balancing so why not take that a step further?
A couple of things I see for DB that I see as good include the new Silver Leash gap closer and some of the improvements to weapon skill lines and other fighters guild skills.
Cheers,
Jeremy (Torunnson)
Something most of you dont seem to realize is that crit surge actually works off shields.
It has done so for quite some time, but only recently it has been fixed to actually heal at a reasonable level.
Whenever you attack a shielded target there is a chance = your crit chance to heal off 60% of the damage done to the shield (sneak attacks and crit charge heal 100% of the time).
The biggest counter to crit surge is not shields anymore, but block. A blocking DK can simply wear a stam sorc down without giving any window of catching back up via crit surge healing simply due to the Dk blocking all the big hits.
IF we get surge to be able to heal off DoTs that counter will get its own counter ( stacking DoTs, which are unblockable) and can lead to interesting dynamics in fights. This change alone would go a long way to make stam sorcs a competetive PvP class.
@DDuke you can crit while your target is blocking
I've taken into account base mitigation increasing critical mitigation as well
Shock master set?
Seems like it was made for stam sorc- medium armour 2x weapon crit, weapon damage, and lightning damage added to basic attacks.
Just needs a tweak to the 5th passive to not require full charged heavy after a light, either 2 light attacks and longer duration or high%chance on damage taken/ lightbattacks or something

I just hope they make BIG changes to things such as passives and tweak some abilities around such as Bound Armaments, Hurricane, Overload, and such.
Looking forward to seeing what these changes are
