Mag nb too much dmg

So i've been playing mag nb for a while and the dmg i dish out is insanly high, 15k soulharvest and 12k concealed crits with people that are soulharvested, this on people with 5 impen, is there a possibility to gimp some of nb dmg scaling?

    I beg to differ, half of the dots out there (including the ones you put on ppl yourself) brings you out of cloak, not to mention quite a few of the singletarget spells to the same (ie dark flare)

    Every class has hard hitting skills, its just a matter of player skill being able to sustain with relative low regen.

    Some of the magicka NBs are running 800 magicka regen in pvp, they hit hard but their sustain is terrible.

    i got 2k mag + stam regen with pot buff up, so i dno add siphoning strikes to that its rougly 3k stam and mag back every 2 sec

    Yeah it sucks that nbs totally don't have access to Syphoning attacks, the best sustain tool in eso

    Have you ever tried cloaking when a Templar casts dark flare...the hit misses but the splash aoe pulls you out of stealth...so either cloak or flare or both aren't working properly there...inevitable detonation i don't even need to explain what i mean with this ability...every now and then siege will pull me out of stealth...and then there's everyone running around with magelight...don't get me wrong cloak is working better than it was at launch...but it's not working as well as it was last patch...still doesn't make it as reliable as streak or perma dodge roll

    The same thing happens with lotus fan since the dot part is undodgeable because its an aoe ability and aoe abilities actually hit through cloak, since DF has an aoe part it makes sence that it pulls you out. This is what i meant about my earlier reply about memorizing skills that pull you out of cloak. Knowing about skills is part of the game knowledge and reflects somewhat to your skill to play the game

    The thing is the aoe part of either abilities shouldn't go off if the single target abiltiy misses...why do you think mageblades spambush all the time against other nightblades? Im pretty sure i know which abilities will pull me out of stealth and which ones won't...I've been playing this game since beta so there's no whining here only stating the fact that cloak doesn't always work.

    No i haven't played stam sorc because that is just a terrible class combination to play...they're not magicka dk bad (I've only seen a handful of magicka DK's do well) but they're pretty much right down there in terms of effectiveness...there's 0 class synergy with it

    All classes do too much damage. Just the way ESO is.

    Though magicka DKs are hard to get a consistent burst.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    I play mag NB. I played ONCE post TG patch and quit the game after that night. Our dps might be high (cloak also is a problem now) but what's the point when you get insta-moshed by 20+ macro spammers, rooted and trampled and train t-bagged all before you can even get off one skill because of the lag being caused by those 20 macros? Admittedly I was drunk. But even prior to patch, drunk and distracted, it wasn't nearly that demoralizing.

    I watched Sypher yesterday for a few hours streaming his emp push. During that time, he got at least 6 donations with people posting links of them playing a magblade solo and farming dem 11-18k APs instagibbing people with prox+tether+vd combo.

    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams

    The best part is when Sypher was whining about zergs. He ALWAYS whines about zergs. This was while he was doing an emp push with a magicka nightblade and running vicious death while siphoning and proxying everything. Sorry, but when you play a completely broken build on a server actually trying to run a campaign, and you RELY on those zergs to get you emp, you don't get sympathy.

    I complain about zergs, zergs are the thing ruining this game but nothing will be done is or being done so all we can do is moan.

    It's not a completely broken build either, just done stack up. Also it's about time people realise they can't go full pve mode in pvp anymore and that if they run around in a huge group they aren't indestructible anymore and they will have to slot impen.

    Actually, yes. It is working as intended. VD is intended to punish groups that stack exactly in that kind of way.

    I believe NBs are intended to be predispositioned as burst damage dealers. So of course NBs best synergize with VD.

    Many players of other classes seem to think that those classes should retain all of their strengths *and* have the burst and mobility of NBs.

    Ok so in other words, what u're saying is that perma cloaking to position yourself then killing 24players solo in one second gaining 18k APs is ok? Guess I'll wish good luck to any non nightblade class who wish to get emperor in the future. In the meantime I'll try to figure out how to hold block and spread out while repairing a door.     Is it that hard to not stack up? Never knew holding block and not sticking next to a small zerg were next level skills. I learn new stuff everyday on this forum.

    Cloak isn't an escape.

    Escapes create distance. We have only Shade for that, and Shade is entirely unreliable.

    Mageblade does have good damage, but right now all classes have good damage. Literally any class can pull those dps numbers on certain skills. Not to mention mageblade is more susceptible to snares and AoEs than any other class...

    As for VD, god I hate that set. It's op, but you know what? It's not as op as AoE caps. All of us in PvP need people running around in VD right now to punish the zergs and ball groups and create an environment akin to if we didn't have AoE caps. I was just talking to Zavus and Tiss about this last night on TS. Yea, VD is poor design. So is proxy. But AoE caps are worse, and the game as a whole is better off with proxy and VD as long as AoE caps are in place.

    Also mageblades' Soul Tether + proxy burst fires in a pretty small AoE. Space out just a little, and your group will be fine. Casualties will res, the mageblade will run off or die, and everything continues as usual. A little vigilance goes a long way too. Most mageblades out there trying to VD bomb are bad. I can't count how many times people have tried to sneak up on my group, only to be foiled by spacing, blocking, and quick ccs.

    I was just having a conversation with one of the best magblades on xbox NA the other day. We were laughing about how everyone sees magblade burst and just assumes they are easy mode. The reality is, magblade is a lot of LoS and cloaking, hoping nobody is running any of the 092384932 cloak counters, and trying to set up a burst combo with your ulti.

    Magika Nightblade is by far the squishiest class in game atm, while not being the most burst, discounting the prox det bomb blades, since any magika class can make prox+ulti+VD crush stacked groups.

    Also, there's no way you hit 12k conceal crit on any real pvp'er, maybe some random scrub. I literally never see above 7k in either mine or my wife's death recaps. Unless maybe you're running alchemist + kena, in which case you've wrecked all your sustain and you're basically free ap against anyone with magelight slotted.

    It's totally fine! Magic NB has crap self-heals and sustain! Oh uh, NBs are supposed to be dmg dealers cuz assassin. DK op with talons, need to nerf again. Just don't stack or zerg lol!




    While I find it very amusing NBs can now solo wipe ***** zergs, I also find it incredibly amusing that people are fine with it being possible, while people cringe when someone can -tank- a zerg.


    So it's ok to wipe a zerg solo in under 3 seconds, but it's totally unnacceptable to solo perma-block tank a zerg for 30+ seconds. Gotcha.

    I was just having a conversation with one of the best magblades on xbox NA the other day. We were laughing about how everyone sees magblade burst and just assumes they are easy mode. The reality is, magblade is a lot of LoS and cloaking, hoping nobody is running any of the 092384932 cloak counters, and trying to set up a burst combo with your ulti.

    Magika Nightblade is by far the squishiest class in game atm, while not being the most burst, discounting the prox det bomb blades, since any magika class can make prox+ulti+VD crush stacked groups.

    Also, there's no way you hit 12k conceal crit on any real pvp'er, maybe some random scrub. I literally never see above 7k in either mine or my wife's death recaps. Unless maybe you're running alchemist + kena, in which case you've wrecked all your sustain and you're basically free ap against anyone with magelight slotted.

    This is literally the exact same argument we made about DK's, everyone just saw what guys like Luvboard, Asgari, Barbecue and Hova could do with a DK and screamed nerf not realizing that while the class was strong not everyone could do that, those were just phenomenal players who could do incredible things. We get bombed by @Sypher wannabes on a nightly basis who fail miserably, I really hope all these nightblades are ready for the nerf hammer, its going to happen eventually.

    How exactly is it more susceptible than a DK?

    DKs have more innate durability. Stam has dodge roll, so that's out immediately. mDK has the same if not greater aoe healing than mageblade, plus they have skills that increase resistances, reflect projectiles, and they often run snb. A magicka DK who is snared by a group will survive for MUCH longer than a burst mageblade who is snared. When a mageblade who isn't running a heavy armor sap tank setup is snared and locked down, they become just as immobile as the DK, but their primary survivability mechanic (cloak) is completely negated by incoming AoEs, magelights, detect pots etc. The only way out is a prepared Shade, which can work. However, Shade is telegraphed and just as easily countered. With so much less survivability at mageblades' disposal, they just die much more quickly when caught. It's pretty straightforward.
