Yes, completed with all classes and have no deaths on both my sorc and NB. It gets easier the more you do it and the runs barely take an hour each.
I think everyone has at this point.

I ignore all the adds and just focus on the boss. There really isn't that much to the first boss fight, except DPS. You don't need stellar DPS, either. If you are having difficulties getting past him, I would recommend practicing the use of your DPS abilities. It's not all about gear--someone with perfect gear but not using their abilities to their full potential would do less DPS than someone with mediocre gear, but who is getting the most from their ability usage. Anyway, the entire arena will be very difficult if you don't have the DPS to take down the first boss.I gave up before finishing my gold V16 set.
(you know, which you NEED for it... not even worth it trying if you lack the specific builds)
You absolutely do not "need" it. You'll be just fine in VR15 purple. Player skill and familiarity with the arena matter much, much more than gear. I went from wiping over a hundred times on the final boss to one-shotting him--and the only thing that changed was practice and refining strategies, since I had the exact same gear and CP. There's a reason why everyone talks about practice, practice and more practice, because that's what matters, not gear.
Ya My mag Nb is geared up for defense, he can survive no problem but DPS is low, running 5 heavy Armour master and 2 light bahraras with rings/neck. Swords on first bar with siphoning skills etc. Been lvling up my Restro staff for second bar, have about 2500 spell damage almost 3000 buffed, but i guess its not enough.
So... you're a tank, that doesn't tank. And I don't mean to be mean.... but you are really calling yourself a DD ?
Well just trying different gear , plus didn't call myself a DD what ever that is, DPS I assume you mean.
So your saying a "Tank" cant do VMA?
It's not a matter of time, really. It's literally a physical limitation on my bones and muscles. I literally can't.KoshkaMurka wrote: »Now there's a save function so you can beat it stage by stage when you have time.
Haven't tried. Have no desire to.
I personally don't like the whole concept of leader boards and public comparisons of achievements, but that isn't the main reason. It just doesn't appeal to me.
I'm sure I could do it. I write code and solve complex problems every day, so I know it wouldn't be an intelligence barrier learning to adapt new strategies (or look new strategies up on the internet).
I just wish the gap wasn't so huge between BiS gear you can earn doing this vs. maybe not quite so strong but still viable alternatives that could be gained through other activities.
On the scale of things that bug me though, this is low.
Maybe I will try it one day. If I ever feel the need to compete in min max "progression" end game content. So far the spirits haven't moved me in that direction either.

How can you assume everyone has completed vMA? The arena is a so discouraging. 100+ people in this thread alone have said they have not attempted the arena.
I just started attempting vMA 2 days ago. I'm stuck on stage 3. There is so much incoming damage... i think their is a bug in stage 3 though. If you die many time's, every single strangler will remain when you go to reattempt the thing. The amount of damage 4 strangers plus the add's do is insane.
I dunno how people do it on melee classes with just vigor and rally. Its either i run out of stamina or i cannot heal enough.
Practice does make perfect though, i guess i need more practice. Which means dieing over and over again... im so excited..

@magnusthorek If you're on ps4 let's talk. We could negotiate something.

The simple fact that the poll is 65-35 for 'No' scares me. Who hasn't beaten VMA by now? Even the stam DK tanks in my guild have the title now just so they don't feel left out. It's been out for 5 months? You should have at least beaten it once by now with ANY character.
'I'm a stamblade babyrage' stop... Any class stam/mag can do it easily. I can push skoria up top by the time the first healer spwans on my stamblade.
If that's your excuse then you could have made and leveled 5 mag sorcs in that time to do it.
