I think another poll asking who on console has beaten it could be interesting. Might explain so many nos as console doesn't have all the add ons such as buff timers and advice on when to block and dodge or even telling us how much ultimate we have stored for overload. I know its doable on console for some but the level of difficulty is surely higher due to controls and lack of add in assistance/information.

I have cleared on 2 toons and plan to get clears on my other 2 shortly now that I can save. I hear this all the time but it's really overstating the issue. I actually think a magic NB is potentially the easiest class, especially if you are familiar with it. They get way more healing and do more non-ultimate DPS. They also run a very similar rotation to a PvE DPS build. Even with a damage shield, sorcs are squishy in there. They are dependent on their shields for survival. If you get stunned or knocked down without a shield, you are prob dead. They also have less room on their bars for utility skills.

Is a Sorc the easiest class? Probably, but the gap between them and other classes is not as much as people make it out to be. For anyone saying sorcs don't count, but have yet to get a clear of their own, I say put up or shut up. Level a Sorc and show us how "easy" it is.

^ it's easier on a magika NB imo. Smashes through every arena. Some people just have single target attacks only and rum only swords so no regen or just a resto spamming wards. Sorc is only doable because of a shield and overload. Take them away and they are useless. Stam players just didn't bother to get vigor and caltrops and went in with PVE set up and QQ. Sharpened 2h axe today on my only run. Whooooooo.

Agree, especially the non-boss rounds. Boss rounds are faster with overload, but it's hard to call them easier. Once you get the hang of things, the boss rounds arent the issue. It might take an extra 10 seconds on a NB, but it's really not more difficult. They are very predictable once you learn the mechanics.

The only thing keeping me from a no-death at this point is a round 4 of stages 5-8. One or 2 of these always get me. They all have the potential to get out of hand if you get behind. I find those rounds much easier on a NB because you can just keep DPSing inside a veil without giving it too much thought if you get overwhelmed. On a sorc, you can find yourself in a vicious cycle of shield spamming to stay alive. It works for a while, but every time you cast shield is time spent not dps'ing. NBs DPS 99% of the time with their rotation and get more heals than they know what to do with.

My first time on Voriak, I died hundreds of times. Literally, no exaggeration.

These days, I breeze through him without a single death. More than any other part of the arena, the final boss is all about practice and developing a good strategy that works for you, and it makes a huge difference.

Some tips for first-time clears:

• Ranged interrupt makes this fight so much easier.
• Use that defense sigil near the start of the fight, when he starts his first channel. Don't interrupt his channel, and let it reflect back onto him for extra damage.
• Kill the healer before going up top for the first time. It makes the final phase (and the times you are forced down from up top) much easier.
• Until you've mastered the top phase, you will likely be knocked down (or have to jump down) before destroying the crystals. Don't use your ultimate up top, and save it for nuking down the Daedroth when you come down.
• When the boss is about to do his big skull attack, you'll see light blue swirls around your character--that's your cue to dodge, and the attack will miss you.
• Calm down and take a break if you die. Rez up at the wayshrine and use that time walking back to clear the air. Rage-resurrections and jumping right into things (which I did a lot) without analyzing what's going wrong will just lead to more deaths.

Honestly? Not as bad as it sounds, the amount of swearing induced is, however, "quite" high.

So many bugs that are absolutely infuriating, like mobs spawning thru portals, who start shooting at you before they even appear. Or CCs - not just any CCs, m**********ng DOUBLE CCs. Or sometimes enrage / one shot mechanics that pop for no reason (stage 6 - one shot while 2 obelisks are still alight).

There's so much "hopefully I don't get hit by 5 things at once" involved, it's not even funny, that and putting exponential enrage mechanics on the most basic mobs (2 * 10k damage double hit instant from a random dwarven spider? Is that even real?). And the DPS barriers (hopefully not troublesome in my case, because, well, I'm used to be a DD), but I definitely wouldn't even try some stages with a tanky build.

And I want to see a footage of a dev completing it. Hardcast C.Frag spam to victory?

Doing it is not that hard but getting that achiv would be insane impossible almost.
