Yes, It takes a lot of perssistance to master the mechanics.

Normal was quite enjoyable, but veteran is absolutely not. Can't even finish first stage — I'm out of stamina very quickly (playing stamina templar).

Apparently, Cant seem to finish off the boss, he keeps re spawning more adds and adds .... I gave up, not worth wasting time on.

I ignore all the adds and just focus on the boss. There really isn't that much to the first boss fight, except DPS. You don't need stellar DPS, either. If you are having difficulties getting past him, I would recommend practicing the use of your DPS abilities. It's not all about gear--someone with perfect gear but not using their abilities to their full potential would do less DPS than someone with mediocre gear, but who is getting the most from their ability usage. Anyway, the entire arena will be very difficult if you don't have the DPS to take down the first boss.

You absolutely do not "need" it. You'll be just fine in VR15 purple. Player skill and familiarity with the arena matter much, much more than gear. I went from wiping over a hundred times on the final boss to one-shotting him--and the only thing that changed was practice and refining strategies, since I had the exact same gear and CP. There's a reason why everyone talks about practice, practice and more practice, because that's what matters, not gear.

Been watching deltia's vids and it seems like I need access to skills I don't even have yet at VR16. LOL I have a sorc vamp and have just not been brave enough to give it a shot.

Once on my sorc. Never on my stamplar main. I voted no to support his struggles.

Ya My mag Nb is geared up for defense, he can survive no problem but DPS is low, running 5 heavy Armour master and 2 light bahraras with rings/neck. Swords on first bar with siphoning skills etc. Been lvling up my Restro staff for second bar, have about 2500 spell damage almost 3000 buffed, but i guess its not enough.

So... you're a tank, that doesn't tank. And I don't mean to be mean.... but you are really calling yourself a DD ?

Well just trying different gear , plus didn't call myself a DD what ever that is, DPS I assume you mean.

So your saying a "Tank" cant do VMA?

I have 465 champ points. Just hit vet 16 on my sorc.

I have all gold gear and gold enchants. 3 piece arch Mage, 5 piece julianos, 3 piece willpower. Destro/resto.

I have 3400-3600 spell damage. 34k magic, 23k health.

How do you guys think I'll fare? About to begin tackling it myself. Can beat the normal version no death at vet 8.

Any champion point advice or hints I should know before I begin? I think I have everything in the right place now but I am concerned about the difficulty. Any advice would be appreciated!
