So many People has left the Game in the past because of the Lack of challenging and/or good Raidcontent. Just a few of them have returned for vMoL and if its geting nerfed to early, they will leave again and take a lot of other good Players with them.
You will call them Elitists because they are better as you and are killing Stuff you cant kill easily but theses Guys are writing the Guides, are sharing their Informations about the Game and helping others to improve if they are willing to improve. Make that Players leave the Game will just result in more Nerfs because there is none left you can Copy&Paste your Builds from.
But thats what some People wanna get. Maximum Gain with minimal Effort.

My impression of this, is that they give out hard as *** content and then slowly it becomes easier over time, either because trial nerf or because of champion points and class buffs, and new sets as well.
The new sets you get from leaderboard, looks like it is good for a tryhard guild that wants to complete this trial.
I think the new trial is boring on the mob part but fun at the boss parts.
It looks like the new trial are designed for synergy bonuses.PC, EU server, Ebonheart Pact

the trial is nice, cute, kawaii, khajiitii, scalable to v16(to give players a reason to do&buy DLC) with annoying songs after defeating each boss. lots of fun doing it& learning mechanics
but then, you have veteran mode.
how do people even do veteran mode?
for vMA i trained, and yes. i call that training for 40-50 hours until i was able to do it, 40-50 hours of wasting pixel money and pixel potions but it ended up fine
i trained for vMA, and i can do vMA.
for nMoL? i trained for.. 3-4 hours with 1 great experienced(who did nMoL) trial leader and we finished it in 4 hours first time (group of a guild+5-6 non guilded including me) that was on PTS, was ugly because of the slow motion playing there compared to live but had some fun.
now we go to something called "Veteran Mode"
i wasted a total of 40-50 hours in vMoL (no i dont call that training) thats IRL hours that could be spent in doing something fun, enjoyable, laughable, chilly, romantic, etc..
with that sum of hours.
why would I, as a player sink another hunderds of hours of losing, and losing, so much of losing that it gets annoying, depressing, pixel money and potions wasting
to have my character name appear on the leaderboards?

me personally, would like to see every single NPC/Boss in vMoL HP decreased by 40% and damage dealt from them by 20%
dont say its a @L2Pissue, the hundred or thousand of hours sinking in that trial doesnt worth it, no fun=why bother
After practicing a total of 4 times (3 hours each time) on the PTS, my guild one shot the first boss of vMOL. I honestly think it is no different from vMA in the respect that you need to practice to get better. There is just one major difference - the trial with the wiping, the failing and the losses is fun, unlike vMA.2 -

i have read all replies and had some discussions with raiders regarding it e.g form guild leader.
there were pretty much discouraging post regarding such actions.
i see the community is happy with the trial as it is and the progression/efforts are being putted in order to complete it
and must be quite annoying for some to see that since there was basically 0 challenging endgame PvE since over a year, people still come to forum and see that guy complaining about a few weeks old trial - that may be in such a form of insult to vet raiders, but its not intented
and i looked on long term too quickly (e.g. 1000 hrs)
i did not put proper playtime of vMoL to have such conclution - yes i made a mistake and judged way too early, but we are humans and we make mistakes dont we?
that prevented me from knowing how endgame PvE content is reacted to/beaten/conquered by the community ( i started eso back in may and did not do any trials because had no v14 char with proper class/racials and by time i did it became way too unattractive for me to do a trial (mostly, because craglorn trials did not scale to my level by then which is v16
I admit that i gave vMA reference in about all the credit in order for me to reach such conclusion, but vMA is a solo instance and comparing it to a 12man trials is way too wrong. / i had vwgt and icp in mind aswell, but they are vet dungeons, they may be not as bad compartion towards a trial (because of nerfs) but did consider.
as I found out, im still sort of newbie regarding progression PvE raids, no idea how to ball rolls, how such content is handled and thought of day1 conquering actually!
sidenote: ESO is my first proper MMO, my previous MMOs arent comparable to ESO (except lag.. maybe)
so after writing this
1) i do not regret doing it, actually. its more of a thing u got to do to at some point to know the other side.
2) assault to community- especially PvE raiders is not intended.
3) to the big title, i got kicked from my ex PvE guild: there was no discussion with me prior the action, it must've felt for some that i'm not "eligible" to be in such guild or so and could've demanded that, but also, i was of the new ones to that guild (did less than 10 raids) and know it wasn't handled properly
4) i am not going to remove/edit way too much of my original post.
5) instead, it would be nice to continue the post more or less as which guild at which stage, how such mechanic is handled, so on so forth1 -

BTW: you can just do the normal version and get the quest there + be able to read all the books and notes. Even loot, because there is not much difference other than vMOL drops a skin/costume.
..and please don't misunderstand me, in case you are a roleplayer ..I am aware how important costumes are for roleplayers, but in this particular case, there are no roleplaying guilds that can or want to demand this costume for their roleplay events.

I was hoping that it was you realizing you're acting in a disruptive and overly aggressive manner and going to your guildmaster to apologize and asking for assistance on how to remedy the problem. Asking for help and admitting mistakes are indicative of a good solid sense of self and acknowledgment of a desire to improve.
Whether you took all forum replies into consideration or not is a moot point if you're acting in such a hostile manner, the fact is you brought up a highly controversial topic with very little understanding of how to correctly manage it. We are not beholden to you, you brought this problem to the forums to ask for our opinions and then insulted and raged at us for providing them.
The adult world simply doesn't act in such an impulsive manner and expect to achieve a socially swaying point of view, if you don't agree with someone's opinion then respectfully remain silent or bring up constructive, tactful, opinionated points to test the waters and see if they want to discuss it. It's funny you retracted your opinion. The EU guilds have a hardcore community for sure. (Not an insult). I was silently in the TS at the guild summit and yes the top guilds did ask for a very challenging trial. What they also did was say they don't want average pve guilds to be invited as they didn't want other non hardcore guilds opinions.
This to me screams I don't want 99.9% of the population to complete this. However! What zos has done so far with content will at least give other players a chance at completing this down the road a few months and I doubt any forum threads such as this would even sway Zos to make any adjustments to the trial difficulty in the near future.

You are an exception, Jerberan. You chose correctly to be Ebonheart Pact. I will show you the ropes in vMOL once we conquer it
we ran with a person tanking there for the first time (who isn't a tank as a main) and a DD who isn't usually on our team and got the final boss to 18%. We're all getting the hang of it now. The mechanics do get easier, it's not that we're OP. We're just putting a lot of time into figuring tactics out. We will start doing videos and posts on how to do it once we have some of the achievements knocked off. Server: EU Pact
