Congratulation on your success with MLM - my partner, who has 2 venture capital companies, which raise money for projects using MLM, says, that just 1 out of 200 who try to do this kind of job, are actually capable of being successful in it.
Edit.: Btw the Osprey is called a tilt-rotor aircraft - half airplane/half helicopter is not really what it is, it cannot land by auto-rotation like a helicopter when an engine fails for example - it is neither one nor the other.

I know that an Osprey is called a tilt-rotor aircraft. I used to build the darn things lol. Most people would have no idea what tilt-rotor aircraft means so I described it in a way that might help them make a better visualization of it. Keep it nice and easy!
Thanks for the kind words about the MLM. It has definitely been a rough road to learn. It isn't for everyone and success is hard to find, but when you do... life is good!
Well, I can tell you how I got into it, but I didn't exactly go a traditional route, so I kind of doubt it will be helpful for you. I mean, my degree is in History lolNostradamus wrote: »Data analytics. It's basically all about proper education nowadays, if your paper form is bad, even talent does not help a lot. Another aspect is a gap-free job record which shows that you are reliable and not hopping from job to job all the time. What you said above sounds like non gap-free and job hopping to me - so it might not be so easy to change your perspectives. Sorry, to have to say that.

I can help, resp. Yoda can
Edit: the moral behind it is - if you "try" you assume possible failure, and this will not make you successful.
Poor challenger pilots just didn't think the right way...
There are a lot of jobs, which depend on that you are capable to "do" the job and not just "try" to do it - like pilots, surgeons and so on. You have to be confident about yourself to be able to "do" it, and it is expected from you, that you are capable to "do" your job, not just "try" to do it. Having this "try" in your mind, will hinder you to "do" what is required, when it gets tough.
So there is real wisdom in Yoda's words.

A lot of companies feed your resume into a computer and unless you meet the specs no human even sees it, let alone calls you for an interview. I have a good job and many years of experience but if I were starting now with my background I would be screwed.
That said, if this is your situation what you need is a strategy to move forward. Filling in the education gaps is one way to go. Creating your own company or service is another -- whether you want to remain your own boss or if the plan is to sell that company (and your services) to someone else. Or find some other way to become important to someone and then parlay that into a job. It's not a dead end, it just takes a plan and serious execution.

No, becoming self-employed is a one way road - you will most likely never again get your foot in the door with a company as an employee - reason - it is assumed, that you will be dissatisfied with having to take orders and do things as well then, when you disagree with them. Having this mark on your record is basically putting you out of the normal employment scheme. This is definitely not the way to go if you rather seek employment - and if it is just short term, the self-employment phase, this could be considered "undetermined" or "lazy" even and that would be the end of the game. Once self-employed you better be successful.
Edit: it is basically the same reasoning which is about "over-qualified" - satisfaction - as an employer you need people who can do the job and are satisfied with what they are. Neither someone over-qualified nor someone who was his/her own boss once, can be assumed to be satisfied with a "lesser" job. So this is a no-go.

i have to disagree, reason is going self employed is very humbling. ive seen many people try and start there own food industry business whether it be from food truck all the way up to chain rest. they are most of the time the easiest people to work and they also prove to be the best workers because theyre multifaceted and a quick study.
Ok, I hire scientific staff, that is a bit different there. If they do not know who and what they are, have no idea how they could be of use to me and failed in their own business because they misjudged the effort required or whatever, why would I want to hire them?- they showed already, that they did not do their homework beforehand, I do not need this kind of people.
Edit: or to say it more clearly - I run a business, not a charity - whatever they have experienced in their life is not my problem, it is their's. I have a responsibility to my other staff, I have to provide work and make them happy, and I can just do that, if I hire the best I possibly can. I have to be successful in order to do that, I need really good staff, not wannabes.

https://www.udemy.com/
Or a site like it. Check the demo pages for a tutor you like and can relate to, pick up a hobby or semi professional skill you enjoy, then build a business around it somehow, if you need further training this site is a good intro to it, to see if you like it first. Expect to take knocks, as you'll be learning, and learning more than just the skill, at 30 (i'm in my 30's) we forget what it was like to have to relearn or retrain a skill from scratch. - You have to get out of the mentality that you are stuck anywhere, you're stuck because you're not moving somewhere else, bills or no bills, just takes putting that effort in to retrain into something else to get started.
