Grappling hooks (you can cut the rope to drop enemies to the ground)
Ladders (you can push them away)
Seige Towers (can be counter seiged)

A lava catapult which spreads circles of lava AOE at the desired location, in a large radius, and the lava AOE lingers for over 20 seconds but has a reload time of like 10 seconds so it can't be spammed to cause lag or something.

Defiantly siege towers. 100%. They could use the mechanics from the battering ram but make the ram into a tower. Give it some stairs you can run up and bang, there's ya siege tower.
Expensive, limited keep wall ladder that only lets 3 players up, 1 by 1 and can only be placed at certain walls, and can also be burnt down from an enemy up on the wall which would cause the player climbing (you climb slowly) to fall off & take fire over-time damage.

Definitely siege towers that 6 people say can board.
That would be cool.

Ladder, siege towers, gate destroyers like Mammoths, why not Scorpion for very long range shooting. Oil trap.
I actually think Ladders would make nice addition to the game, so people would flank the enemy and not staying as one big zerg, but maybe there should be somekind of limit of how many can be used per siege, or then simply extremely expensive in AP.
Ladders/greppling hooks have been mentioned... I really, really want those too.
Siege towers, definitely! Should need to be set up a distance from the wall, then slowly roll closer...
And then...
A alchemical fire-salt filled "petard" that must be hand-placed and set up, and hit while busy setting it up will cause it to explode prematurely.
A anti-zerg "greek fire thrower" siege engine, with a cone AoE and a few seconds chargeup (for people to dodge out of the red ground area) while you work the naphta pump, but nasty AoE and lingering DoT burn damage
A "mantlet" that shields from siege damage (until destroyed)
Some "defensive rune" traps - basically some effect like an "fire/volcanic rune" or "daedric mines", but from an consumable item, bigger (as in, AoE to get he invader and his feiends too!), and in several more flavors. Lightning rune, ice rune, venom rune, daedric curse rune... heck, even mechanical physical damage versions might be an option... invisible until triggered (but can be spotted when sneaking or with magelight)
Some sort of impressive "War Mounts" to dominate a battlefield?
I want the zerglings to be able to take a few players per raid size, have them rush the wall in a suicide sprint with a pot of whatever is lore friendly explosive on their backs and then the rest of the zergs either charge those pots with torches or shoot flaming arrows into them to explode on the wall.
Helms Deep style. Breach them walls boys!

Ones that let me shoot my allies over walls, or better yet the dead corpses of my enemies.

I would like new engines that are either buffed by or only usable by those investing in a new Engineer skill line (in the Bringing Specialists to the Battlefield spoiler), but, the odds on the are low. Specific engines might include moveable siege towers that could allow people to climb over walls and net throwers (for AoE snares that can't be purged, have to hack/burn through them with normal weapon attacks).
