With magelight, a nb can't get close enough to a sorc to use that

You already have the Shield Breaker set AND a 50% Battle Spirit nerf to shields.... don't be greedy!
Magicka nb......

Dude I kill other sorcs all the time. Instead of taking to the forums and complaining about what terrible player you are, do some research and get gud.
Try killing a sorc as magicka nb in tg. Sorc has magelight, you cannot cloak to get near sorc to cc him with fear.
On live i can kill sorcs, but not if magelight will stop me from cloaking. Even with cloaking, sorcs take the longest to kill 1v1. Try it. Roll magicka nb and 1v1 sorcs.
All of mageblade's heals rely on damaging an enemy's health. With shields up, that means no heals. Spamming cloak was the only way to beat a shield stacking streaking *** as a mageblade.
Oh and streak ignores roots and snares. You call that balanced?
With this update, magicka dks will be strong but balanced, nb will be gimped, templars a bit stronger but still weak and magicka sorcs OP.

why are u crying so hard? You can just hop on to your sorc and spam shields instead of spam cloak...
I cant see the problem here.

Well, being able to cloak in the face of an opponent wasn't good at all, and you know it. I'd be fine with magelight being the way it used to but then put a minimum distance you need to be before you can cloak. Same with spambush.
Sure thing give us a burst heal or a damageshield which absorbs BOTH physical attacks and magicka attacks and scales of our offensive stat (max stamina or max magicka) then you can remove cloak entirely : )
I play a sorcerer from time to time, and when everything is dumbed down and nerfed so bad except hardened ward, I can't wait for ZOS making it scale of max health like every other shield in the game which absorbs physical and magickal damage (harness not included since it doesn't absorb physical)
The tears will be delicious.
Putting all your points into max magicka while gaining both offense and defense is just unbalanced no matter how you try to turn it around.

if your not actiivly in cloak they are not gonna have this skill poped( that last for 5 seconds) so if u ambush in u will beable to cloak and cc them before they hit the active ability that magelight has..its easy to see so time your combos with what you see them useing. spells have telegraphs for a reason.mr_wazzabi wrote: »

if one class does not counter another class they are balanced in this case (ofc there are many ways to play a class and many builds you can use but this is just a logical thing) ^^
if sorc > nb then nb NOT > sorc and if nb > sorc then sorc NOT > nb
i think u can use the word "counter" for builds but not for classes in general
Every1 has access to magelight firstly so its not a sorc problem.
2nd i play a templar ZOS has the ability to make all my skills useless and is currently using it
You are just upset that only sorcs are op now and u dont have an easymode button to save your ass

NBs have a amazing magicka based gap closer and u cant catch another player?? mix up your skill slots and dont rely on the same old *** syhper or someone other pvpers told you to use in duels last patch.lotas fan into a fear into cloack then open up with vield strike for stealth dmg...oooh look cloak worked didnt it i just had to set it up with another skill..GOD FORBID zini made it harder for you to still kill people in under 2 seconds. All your dmg is still there and there is a resto staff on the off bar. where the best shield is the game awaits healing ward, avalible to all.
Sors class shield will be toned down along the line probly not this patch though. but even then your gonna complain about sorc using shields because of healing ward. and then if they nerf that all the magicka nbs will be nerfed with it, and all these people will be saying this isnt fair for nbs blah blah blah.
Shields shouldn't stack. If you cast one after another it should simply remove one as it applies the next.
Gaining 20k over the top of 16k is very strong.
Or increase the cost of shields just like dodge roll or streak. I'd prefer they don't ever make shields like dodge roll but something needs to be done. Time for sorc to be dethroned.

No, I mean learn how to kill sorcs. It's not as difficult as you think, but it does require you to do something different than what you are currently doing. To put it another way, rather than go onto the forums complaining about how terrible your build/playstyle is at fighting sorcs, do some very basic research and learn their weaknesses. You might save yourself some embarrassment. You mean L2 sorc or gtfo?

It´s not going to happen because the sorc class has a total of five skills that all entirely scale with only magica (in case you did not know that). Too much work reworking all of those.
I'm not saying it's gonna happen or not, I just give here my ideas. And this topic is very close to the problem of unbalanced stats we have in the game and could be used as one of the tools to solve that problem.
Only a perceived problem imho. I very rarely see people with 100% 1 stat builds in pvp.
It´s a pve occurance and i´ve not seen pve players complain about it a lot.
You know, in most games it's normal when you boost your defense, you have to sacrifice some of your offense. And vice versa. Only in Eso you boost both of them when you just stack your magicka. That's not good and should be changed.
Of course the same applies for stamina.
Actually that your suggestion to scale all defense of health is pretty good.
But would result in abomination builds with insane healthpools coupled with high regeneration and no other stats. These kind of builds would be nearly impossible to kill.
Also these would lead to builds going for more health leading to weaker offense and higher defense while defense already outperforms offense in most scenarios (you can´t kill someone playing entirely defensive who´s aware of you).
Basically compared to now balanced builds would have weaker offense and weaker defense but 10 to 15k more hp.
It would require a complete rebalancing of the game (again) which is an idea i´m not too fond of given how long the developers take to roll out changes and fixes to mechanics that turn out as too powerful or weak.
I think heavy rebalancing the classes is just what they are doing this and next DLC, correct me if I'm wrong. I think I heard it somewhere.
