As a Master Provisioner, why do we need new food recipes since the Orsinium quest foods were released? We do we even have other food recipes in the game? I don't mean to be harsh, but ZOS destroyed Provisioning as a craft with the release of Orsinium.

Lots of people still use the other recipe types. Definitely agree that there's an overabundance of requests for the new stuff, though. Makes me think the balance point is wrong.

Any recipes you learn other than the Orzogra's is just stamp collecting. Unless of course they're going to release a whole new line of quest recipes that are better, or fill missing niche's that the Orsinium quest foods missed. Those could be interesting, although they wouldn't fix the basic negation of Provisioning as a whole that those quest recipes accomplished.
Oh I totally agree that the Gold recipe from Orsinium is a complete joke unless you've got more gold than sense. And seriously, 25 Columbine for 100 hours worth of play, since you're getting 4 of the food for every 1 you make, is quite cost effective. I'll easily run across more than 25 Columbine as I run around zones playing the game before my 100 pieces of food have been exhausted.

No, I mean that gold recipe is a joke regardless of cost because its stats are crap. Even if I had all the gold and Perfect Roe in the world, I wouldn't use it. Its regen is substantially lower than that of a purple drink, and in the few situations I can think of where you do want multi-resource regen, max health is not something that you would care about. I.e., I can't see many situations where you want to use that instead of a purple drink, even if cost was not a factor.
The blue Orzogra is nice for when I'm grinding mobs, but you have to keep in mind that max magicka/stamina increases the potency of your abilities. By using Orzogra instead of a blue max-stat food, you're losing about 5K max magicka or max stamina. That's equivalent to losing around 500 weapon or spell damage. If you're a DPS doing end-game content, you will not want to take that kind of a damage penalty.
