    This is the official feedback thread for the Dragonknight. Please let us know how you feel about the changes we made to this class, if you ran into any bugs, and any other feedback you'd like to give.

    NOPE!

    Its still ***, (dmg wise) compared to other classes Instantskills. Still no Stammorph for it

    True, sramina dk is now crap.

    Not to argue over it, but did you two avoid pvp for the last three months? Stam DK kind of ruled with an iron fist. Also, ALL stamina classes besides stamblades are weapon based builds. There are classes decided by magicka builds and then there is the "stamina class" in which actual class just means what utilities you get with your 2hander/bow/dualwield(i.e. leap, streak, stealth, or...well templar has jabs..I guess...)

    I haven't lost a single duel or 1v1 on my stamDK except against better stamDKs. I think the community places too much importance on execute skills and not enough on executing skills.

    That being said, I'm sooo happy with the magicka and hybrid dk buffs. There are some great players who stuck with magicka dk and will probably be top shelf in this patch.

    A step in the right direction. Now we just need Dragonblood to be a viable self-heal again + a dmg buff to Flame whip and DK will be balanced as they were in 1.6.

    Yep, it's really good. If you have a group that makes use of it, it's basically like this: DK slots one utility skill - 6 others (I suppose it's six anyway) can slot one more defensive/offensive skill without worrying about buffing their damage anymore.

    Expect it to stay crap for the future.
    We will never get a Execute, never get a stamwhip, and even Dragonblood will stay *** in pvp for both playstyles.

    Dont know what to do with my dk now, since i dont like magicka playstyle that much. Gotta enjoy my betainvite for the other mmo and we all know there will be now major changes to pts, as it has always been :smiley:

    I'd love access to PTS so much. To try out test and you end up complaining because the buff to DK wasnt exactly how you wanted it. such a waste, such a waste.

    Might i suggest Dots are looking powerful in theory and remember a stam DK has some of the most potent dots open to them. Unstable flame, axe bleed, and poison injection. With cloak no longer removing dots, shields not ignoring dots, bleeds working as planned so armor mitigation doesnt affect them. oh and purge cost increase....

    Might be a nice place to start when you consider the CP set ups that can be done. or just spam qq the OFFICIAL feedback thread with not relevant comments. GG. thats gonna help the dk cause

    I tested out Valykn Skoria today on a DK. Dropped a meteor, Valykn procced, burning breath, procced again.. god damn. I got DoTs coming out of the wazoo.
    The inhale buff was really appreciated, but the non-reflectable meteors wanted me to jump through a window.

    Fiery Grip:

    Extended Chains’ cost reduction and range increase effect is now a baseline effect for Fiery Grip.
    This ability and its morphs will now grant you the Major Expedition buff for 2 seconds after casting.

    Well it's a start, but I still think Major Expedition would be better on Reflective Scale.

    Would fix blazing shieild, igneous shield and dragon's blood. @ZOS_GinaBruno please pass this one on! These were the fixes I was looking for for both templar and DK.
    • Dragon Blood only returns a percentage of your MISSING health so this one got hit really hard with the healing nerf unlike Breath of Life that can bring you to full in 3-4 casts even with the nerf.
    • Health based damage shields also got nerfed hard because health was nerfed in 1.6 Having battle spirit ignore health based heals and shields is one way to do it.
    • The other way would just be to make an exception for dragon's blood.


    Either way, DK's are supposed to be able to self heal. It is part of the class identity. Please remove nerf on Dragon's blood. The ability is class-defining and not worth slotting in its current state

    You cannot be serious....these two alone are incredible

    Burning Embers (Searing Strike morph): •Increased the heal at the end of the damage over time to 69/71/73/75% of the total damage inflicted at Ranks I/II/III/IV, from 30/32/34/36%.
    •The heal from this morph now applies immediately if it is recast on the same target.

    Igneous Weapons (Molten Weapons morph): This morph will now grant you and your allies the Major Brutality buff for 30 seconds, in addition to the Major Sorcery buff.

    @Iyas im assuming you were testing with duels? coz even on live they are good in duels. It's 1vX where the DK was lacking. I think we gotta wait til live to see how it truly performs in 1vX. My bet is, it behaves exactly the same as it is now because whip and GDB didnt get buffed. Maybe more burst with inhale/prox det could be the savior though? maybe burning embers heal will be enough to sustain?

    I don't quite agree.

    The burning embers heal is really, really good. Now we have Lava Whip, Inhale, and Embers as sustain heals -- as long as you're attacking. I think that fits DK pretty well. The switch from Physical to Fire damage on Talons is really good, too. I don't think DK "needs" an execute.

    The only missing piece I see is miss chance added back to Ash Cloud and make it cast at your feet -- leave Eruption alone as a ranged AoE nuke (pretty good now).

    One problem I do see: difficulty of fitting a hard CC on your bar when you use chains. Petrify is just so strong. But it would be hard to fit both petrify and chains on your bar.

    I'm planning on doing a detailed write-up in a few days.

    I dont think stam DKs are nerfed much. Maybe its just me. Steel tornado has been "nerfed" kinda but not really. StamDKs bows might been nerfed. But 2h and DW doesnt see much change? my builds dont atleast.

    If meteor is not reflectable and its going to stay make it a ground target skill where you can move out of the way and not follow your or at least make it dodgable just like my take flight is. The 3k obsidian shield is kind of something no one should be living with, and the 13 percent of missing hp received from dragons blood thats not even debuffed is also a problem. I've seen whips hit for 5k - 6k on a dk cp will make or break it is also an instant cast with a possible cc.

    So we we're forced to use mostly weapon skills anyone can use and build towards, yet we still cannot reliably use our dk skills which im sure more of us would love to use but the nerf to reflective scales takes the skill out of a stam dk, igneous shield for increase heals nerf is ok but the 3k shield for 20k hp is sad.

    I dont play pvp zergs, i play pve. Pvp only destroy dk.

    Agree, every stam build is based on weapon lines and 1-2 class skills. Stam DK also has a lot of functioning magicka class skills that don't rely on scaling (spiked armor, talons cc, petrify, chains, etc). The magicka DK meanwhile suffers without support skills that improve with their magicka/spell damage. Particularly a heal. They are fine damage wise which is why they do good in PvE.


    The burning embers morph looks nice but it is not an immediate self heal, requires a melee target and requires proper timing. There is a lot to go wrong in there. For example, what happens if your opponent opens with a hard burst and you had only 1-2 ticks? They should have just fixed dragon blood instead of burying it deeper.

    You did 70k with a heavy attack and now you do 20k? Or are you talking about 70k stamina return on a heavy attack?

    Now give you MA on heavy attaks when boss health low 25% with 2h 50-70 dmg, no return stamina,

    Omg yes.. thank you for these patch notes.. i really do love all the changes..

    Some feedback:
    - Excellent PvE update and i think everyone here is happy. Well except maybe templars but BoL needs a nerf it's true.
    - Stamina Builds didn't get much of anything except a indirect nerf via the revised CP system but the new stam sets are amazing.
    - Alot of the PvPers are really unhappy but we all know pvp players are are the loudest. Hopefully those cyrodil improvements will be awesome.

    Overall good patch notes. Keep up good work..
