Not so sure what anyone could threaten me with in game that would get me to change my behavior...short of my guild leader threatening to guildkick me for something I did...but then I probably deserved the threat.

I agree it does sound fishy. The whole scheme is hanging on the ability of few players to threaten the whole ESO playerbase into not bidding on traders (how would the 'threaters' even distribute their threats to every possible buyer? How would they even know every possible buyer?)

And the 'threats' have remained unnamed despite several requests. "I dont need to provide proof" - well that's true, but then i don't need to believe in the claims. And if the OP does not need the general public to believe his claims, why go public with them in the firstplace.

Ive suspected something, its just odd theres spam of guild invitations sometimes. Shouldnt one Guild Disband per account work? If they are selling their earned Gold for RL Dollars, they are making money.

Well my understanding of ESO's architecture is that it is purely client-server and would have no reason to share one client's IP addresses with other clients. Is there some peer-to-peer aspect of voice chat on PS4 or something?

Can't you report these people to Sony? I imagine they don't take kindly to DDOS threats against their network.

How do they outbid? Easily they join as many trade guilds as possible and they can see who bit what and where. Then they relay the info and outbid them. Not rocket science. I think many people are just too slow to catch the scam so they think it's unbelievable. Not our fault you can't follow simple info. You can't even find their psn names because each user can create up to 20 sub accounts that get ps plus, access to your games everything.

Been there done that. Unfortunately no one can outbid my guild and I don't care if I have to chuck 1m gold from own pocket to get the guild the same spot it's gets done. Issue really is you are just too cheap to actually buy a trader. Our going rate in rawlka is no less now that 900k per spot. So cough up and take whatever spot you want. They'll give up and move on and people will buy from you. Plus lol its a game what are they going to do? Not play with you?

This whole thread is a troll. You come here, a public forum, with claims of threats, and then claim that you don't want to reveal what the threats are. If you expand your comments a little Sausage, perhaps if someone owned 13 guilds and then there were 5 of these people, that is coverage of 65 traders. Which is every major trading city. If every one of those made several hundred thousand per week, then millions of in game gold could be sold. I have no proof of the latter, but I do of the first.

Yeah, this kind of guild behaviour happens on PC EU too (the dummy guilds buying out traders - you can easily tell because those traders have NOTHING listed and are located in prime locations where only the biggest and richest guilds bid). I've seen that happen quite often. But as far as threats go - nobody is ever being threatened or at least nobody has ever mentioned it, nor any price fixing has been a part of the guild requirements.

While the people you suspect may have committed a bannable offense by threatening (depends what they actually said), I would just ignore it and continue to bid like usual because as far as the game and mechanics go - they are just empty threats - nobody can really do anything to you or any other guild unless they have collaborators in the rival guilds under cover. (Which also is a common occurrence)

I know Gold Selling is happening because Ive reported a few to Sony myself and they were extremely grateful, If they do it outside the PS4, they can do it freely.

Ive said it to Zen many times, they should just start selling Gold. Now is the perfect time too, economy is screwed up because of IC anyway.

OP can't show proof here it's name and shame. What should be happening is a representative of ZOS who has obviously read this should step up and take the information. But they won't because they DGAF if it's not coming with a price tag and on the crown store.

Honestly if someone threatens to murder me i'll give them my address. I'm a second amendment supporter. I'm just pointing out that it's asinine to go through life thinking nothing can happen that's an ignorant mind state. Especially in this day and age when people are murdered hourly over nothing
