We are people with emotions, egos, and memories. Can DC honestly expect AD *not* to get all pissed off after literally taking every single objective such that there was zero point gain? And then boast about it on the forums? And what prompted DC to do that? I get it, last emperor keep defense is going to be a s&*t show, but the horde of bananas advancing on Ash when Alessia, Roe, and Nickel were all secured was an example of zerging I have not witnessed since the EP pain train at its height back in 1.4-1.5.
It's an open world system with limited objectives and purposely placed funnels. 90% of the map is 100% useless. Why do you people take things so personally when you believe the other faction zergs more than yours? Why is it you remember the time you got zerged down at Arrius, but selectively forget the time you zerged them down at Alessia? Why do you post videos of yourself proudly 1vXing 5 people and winning and then bitterly complain the next time 5 people "zerg you down"? You think a few salty tells and forum posts are going to change the nearly two years of consistent player behavior? Has it ever occurred to you that people behave this way because 1) the map/game mechanics promote it and 2) people are generally much better at hypothetically talking about the high road than actually taking it once something happens in this game that pisses them off (which, invariably will be 5 minutes after logging in)? This community is a psychologist's wet dream.
The frustration you feel today is the same that your opponent felt yesterday. These posts that go beyond passive-aggressive and are just downright hostile just make playing the game that much worse.
Precisely, that's why I don't complain about zerging. That's a universal constant and while I prefer smaller fights, there is something delightfully chaotic about two giant 40+ groups clashing on each other ("group" being used loosely here to describe the number of people in play, not that people are coordinated or stacking on each other).
This thread was supposed to be making light of the meteor spam, nothing more.

Just noticed the names above the dudes lol, that is funny.
However the picture is deceiving, what actually is happening there is us running from the bad guys on our backs.

I'm laughing pretty hard at that.

Praise Talos the heat is off EP for a night!

One of the reasons we have started using meteor is because of the initial burst a hail of them does when dropped on an opposing group. It increases our bomb potential quite substantially, although it has the affect of also making us inherently squishier targets due to the loss of some of our more damage mitigation ultimates. How ever as we and everyone else know's that when a meteor is used on someone on stairs the game is stupid and gives said people that are unfortunate enough to be knocked up to take any where from 40-120k fall damage. Regardless of your build this normally is a rather conclusive one shot.
Now VE does not intentionally use meteor on people on stairs to proc such fall damage, but that does not stop it happening once or twice with someone who runs up the stairs carrying a meteor when the back line of there group is getting bombed or what not. If we were to intentionally bomb another group on the stairs it would be alot more devastating than the one or two people you loses every so often to fall damage. It happens to us all, and its rarely if ever done on purpose with the intention of causing falldamage. It is done because it allows a rather substantial initial burst bomb.
As far as the zerging goes, meh we all do it. And DC was just on the receiving end of it tonight, like we are every other night, just as yellow will be at some point and then red. Although the late night zerging from yellow atleast for me was lots of fun, since it meant that on our day off VE not only had a raid running, but a raid running until almost 9pm my time (i am aussie so ya.)
Where was this logic when we were being yelled at for the very same?

OK Mano I will spell it out for you very clearly. People talk about AD stacking raids because, people. see. AD. stacking. raids.I don't get where people are talking about AD stacking raids. RÁGE is almost always the only AD guild running during Azura primetime, and when Victorem has a group their raid times overlap with ours for only an hour. During that hour I usually only have 6-8 people or I postpone starting the raid until they are done. Times when we have emp are the exception to that. AD may have a lot of pugs, but people have to start realizing that it's just pugs and not 3 guilds coordinating with each other.

There's already been a number of Nickel assaults with 2 AD groups balled together running circles around the outpost.
Then there's last night's giant blob that we wiped potatoing from Nickel to Ash mile gate 3x before we pulled off to go defend north against EP.
Then there's the wonderful hokey pokey when we were supporting DC pugs sieging Ash after our maneuver to backcap Nickel (2 AD raids immediately rushed out of Ash straight to Nickel if you recall). As soon as Nickel burst, AD raid 1 pulled off to run back to Ash while AD raid 2 stayed and took Nickel. Meanwhile when AD raid 1 got back to Ash, they cleared out some pugs trying to siege front door outer, and I had VE waiting inside the front door to bomb them as they came through. Obviously there was a yellow inside calling out our movements in TS, cuz then AD raid 1 proceeded to run around first to the west postern, then front door, then east postern, then to north breach, then back to east postern, and finally back to front door where they decided to stack by the wall and wait for the next 1-2 min. I hade VE match their movements on the inside the whole time. Then lo and behold AD raid 2 comes riding up and both stack up in 1 ball, pop buffs and go in the front door. But hey, totes not stacking, right?
And of course how could I forget the scroll fights? 4x was it? 2 AD raids constantly trying to stack on each other. Sometimes you guys didn't come to the temple stacked up, then if one raid got wiped, the 2nd raid always tried pulling out back down the hill to the bridge and kiting until raid 2 rode back from Warden. The last time, I was actually standing down at the bridge watching AD raid 1 sitting on the bridge for 2-3 min until raid 2 showed up, then boom, buff up and out you guys rolled up the hill to the scroll temple.
So please, don't come in here and try acting shocked and appalled that people called AD out for stacking raids.
