Wow, what a delightfully terse description of everything my group hasn't been doing. Please, do go on.
Too bad I've been witnessing you first hand stacking two raids plus, zero hyperbole. I think you're lying, and so does everyone else with eyes.
OMG what planet are you from? We have trouble getting more than 12-14 on most nights. Since i have been there we have NEVER, NOT ONCE, had more than one raid.

One of the reasons we have started using meteor is because of the initial burst a hail of them does when dropped on an opposing group. It increases our bomb potential quite substantially, although it has the affect of also making us inherently squishier targets due to the loss of some of our more damage mitigation ultimates. How ever as we and everyone else know's that when a meteor is used on someone on stairs the game is stupid and gives said people that are unfortunate enough to be knocked up to take any where from 40-120k fall damage. Regardless of your build this normally is a rather conclusive one shot.
Now VE does not intentionally use meteor on people on stairs to proc such fall damage, but that does not stop it happening once or twice with someone who runs up the stairs carrying a meteor when the back line of there group is getting bombed or what not. If we were to intentionally bomb another group on the stairs it would be alot more devastating than the one or two people you loses every so often to fall damage. It happens to us all, and its rarely if ever done on purpose with the intention of causing falldamage. It is done because it allows a rather substantial initial burst bomb.
As far as the zerging goes, meh we all do it. And DC was just on the receiving end of it tonight, like we are every other night, just as yellow will be at some point and then red. Although the late night zerging from yellow atleast for me was lots of fun, since it meant that on our day off VE not only had a raid running, but a raid running until almost 9pm my time (i am aussie so ya.)

If you use a meteor on any unlevel surface this bug occurs. Which guess what amount of Cyr is actually flat? Your logic makes sense. However, it unfortunately happens in a lot more places than stairs. No one that i know uses that Ulti in our raid.
Even at times when we have been frustrated by fall damage and asked to slot it we were told no by Mano.

This is true and i don't dispute the fact that it can cause fall damage on uneven surfaces in other places but stairs, but on stairs it is almost 100% guaranteed where on any other unlevel surface even a considerable steep incline the chance for some reason seem to be Much much lower.
But by the same logic Wrecking blow, and Dragon leap, flame reach, Aurorian Javilen and basicly any other displacement knock up or knock down ability has this affect on unlevel surfaces in open field especially during lag. And while i know we all hate it, but we all seem to accept that,, on Azura that it is laggy all but 99% of the time. that 1% being that all of 2 mins after server maintenance when no one is on :P
Haxus got the heat for it because you guys would literally wait halfway up the stairs every time; there was little chance to mask that as a bomb when that scenario is designed specifically for fall damage. It got to a point where we didn't even bother sending in Kirsi to scout because everyone already knew where you'd be.One of the reasons we have started using meteor is because of the initial burst a hail of them does when dropped on an opposing group. Where was this logic when we were being yelled at for the very same?
Might I add that, despite the bug, it makes perfect real world sense to have a crowded group of people fall and eventually die when they get hit by a giant ball while trying to walk up 3 story flight of stairs.
True, but when you chastised an entire guild for doing something that you then do the same....well pot meet kettle.
Which was more the point of this, and less the zerging. Everyone zergs, for anyone to say they NEVER stacked or zerged, well that's a lie. You might not intentionally do it, but you've all done it. There is no moral high ground to take.

Not moral, ethical. Moral is designated for issues that related to proper social conduct. Ethical directly relates to the issue of right/wrong in context of business. In this case, should you use meteor on stairs?
As an elemental Templar, I now slot meteor. If I had a backup ulti, I'd use it during keep battles.
Here's another argument: if using meteor at breach before stairs, one has to be at ground level to get a proper target. If your on wall, by the time the game lets you target, the group is into the castle and by the time it hits they can be on stairs.
I don't know where the "guild says one thing dies another" argument became relevant (id have to reread the comments), but my comment only reflected upon meteor and its relationship between the mock physics engine and the coming sense logic of how a giant ball from the sky should kill a group of people crowding up a tall stone staircase; you'd break some necks at the very least.
@Satiar
Look man, idk if you are drunk or something. But claiming you were the only one around for those fights is just plain silly and a flat out lie. The entire night we were tagging 65-80 people every single wipe.
VE was stacking with raids on raids last night as well. 70+ to take Roe, and Fare, not to mention what happened at Alessia. Couple that with how that whole blue train started last night (saturday) when we smashed people back to rayles, w/o stacking. Another 60+ tag at glade, which you guys surfed all the way down. I joked with my friends in your group, both agreeing it was ridiculous, but such is life with zose.
I like you man, I really do. But then you start throwing blame around, saying you thought better of me, and now Mano. I could say the same *** about you and VE, but we rarely get to personal insults unless someone starts shooting first. I screenshot and record most of the ridiculous wipes or tags that I can on an external, happy to share those from the past 2 nights. We have players talking to your officers saying how their are 2+ raids of harlocke, you, and CN all moving together down from nikel.
Take off the zerg goggles, because LUI doesn't lie. And you guys run along side large groups to "take objectives" as often as anyone else. Let not be hypocritical here and say otherwise. I have very little skin left in this game, and I prefer a organized 12v12 over anything at this point. I prefer not to play the numbers game, but it happens with everyone, so lets not blow anything out of proportion here.
As for the scroll, it was more of an AP farm than anything. And I very highly profitable one until lead called to move elsewhere.
Anyways, I am not going to try and debate this any further with anyone, it goes no where. Tonight was full blown zerging, on both sides, and its been this way all weekend honestly. Again, I think you are a great guy and things just get tense when it gets like that I suppose.

I was picking flowers in wrothgar because, hey, Sunday - so I wasn't there for the part where AD was pushed to scroll gate that seemed to make certain people super salty.
Was it Friday? Thursday? We engaged rage in the nikel-roe field, fell back to nikel, and our TS went something like this:
"Where's rage? They were just here. *waits a minute*. The eff did they go? Someone go check Ash (t'was me). *waits another minute*. FFS, wow, they were stealthed and waiting for ANOTHER raid to come before pushing nikel, are you effing kidding me?"
Was just us at nikel, and the average stray puggles, but you guys literally waited to even try your hand at engaging until the 2nd raid showed up. You frequently treat stupid crap like Nikel like it was a last emp keep and bring stupid numbers. As everyone has pointed out, there are times when everyone stacks, but yellow has been taking it to a next level the past 2 weeks. So when you drop the token "CN stacks raids" excuse, and the situation on thurs/fri is more the average scenario than the exception, that's where the frustration comes from.
With regards to meteor, I wasn't there for the salty fight, I don't run it on my toons (I don't really like it to begin with, and it doesn't work with my builds anyway), and I've been asking for fall damage to be fixed in threads for the past few MONTHS. @Manoekin , recently you had a good platform to talk to ZOS, I skipped because I found our meetings with Gina to be entirely unproductive back when Mostly Harmless would do them and the feedback evaporated into thin air, but did you guys stress that that crap needs to get fixed? There was a lot of feedback pushed by the crew that I very much disagreed with, but was fall damage ever stressed as a high priority fix? If not, and it was just included in a list of bugs, well, shame on everyone attending. If it was, a salty thread like this that's just going to be closed is meant for ... wait for it ... salt, and will just be closed. If you're finally as bananas (pun) when it comes to fall damage as I've been, perhaps try a non-salty thread that will get player support alla the ambush spam thread rather than something that's going to be closed as soon as ZOS gets into work.
Telel can confirm that there was very little actual coordination going on around the 4-7PM EST time slot wherein us dumbminionites were making the happy trek north to go for Ni-mohk. At least there was little being coordinated in zone anyways.
If you watch this one's stream you'll hear us frantically rushing from fire to fire to stomp on things all while wondering which group is up north punting the daggets out of their keeps. Only when this one has bloated their pack with randoms and the pacters have gone away for nap time do we turn our sniffy things to Warden. Even then we didn't really work with anything else and just went with what was practical for the pick up group Khajiit was leading.
No one asked us to go there either, we just kind of went because it made strategic sense to cut down on DC's points, AND have a shot at a scroll.
There was also no real coordination between us and any other groups on that push. Unless you count this one saying "okay they went right so let's go left and flank the blewbs" as coordination...
Oh you'll also hear a few complaints about people being knocked through the ground by meteors when we're defending certain keeps from certain people who do certain things they say certain others most certainly are the only ones certifiably doing so.
@Publius_Scipio Khajiit does not get it. Does this mean you wish to accept the divine mediocrity of Telel that shall raise you up above the masses who still won't place down siege?
Also, this thread was started as a joke about how many meteors actually got thrown at people last night. Seemingly every DC has it slotted as of last night. It wasn't our intention at all for it to turn into this kind of thread, and I wish all of the drama would have never happened.

We were never stealthed to wait for another group. If you're thinking of when Crown was emp, that was not our group. We ported to Roe after defending something else and went up to Nikel because we saw it didn't get taken and assumed a ton of DC were there. Just happened the emp group was going there too. I helped them take it, yeah. Whatever. Then I went to Bleakers and later BRK because I didn't want to do that.
I don't get where people are talking about AD stacking raids. RÁGE is almost always the only AD guild running during Azura primetime, and when Victorem has a group their raid times overlap with ours for only an hour. During that hour I usually only have 6-8 people or I postpone starting the raid until they are done. Times when we have emp are the exception to that. AD may have a lot of pugs, but people have to start realizing that it's just pugs and not 3 guilds coordinating with each other.
As for the fall damage bug... it was stressed, yes. The stuff we heard back about it was positive though history tells me not to expect a clean fix. Tuesdays / Thursdays and Sundays when it is TKO raid night on AS is aa known lag fest... that is when you will probably encounter a dc equivalent. Also, ~ midday UK time / Oceanic prime time is this lollizerg they speak of where around 40 AD pvpdoor and cap everything with about 5-10 dc defenders (van moving to dc has helped a bit as it used to be 60+ ad zerg)

And then boast about it on the forums? And what prompted DC to do that? I get it, last emperor keep defense is going to be a s&*t show, but the horde of bananas advancing on Ash when Alessia, Roe, and Nickel were all secured was an example of zerging I have not witnessed since the EP pain train at its height back in 1.4-1.5.
It's an open world system with limited objectives and purposely placed funnels. 90% of the map is 100% useless. Why do you people take things so personally when you believe the other faction zergs more than yours? Why is it you remember the time you got zerged down at Arrius, but selectively forget the time you zerged them down at Alessia? Why do you post videos of yourself proudly 1vXing 5 people and winning and then bitterly complain the next time 5 people "zerg you down"? You think a few salty tells and forum posts are going to change the nearly two years of consistent player behavior? Has it ever occurred to you that people behave this way because 1) the map/game mechanics promote it and 2) people are generally much better at hypothetically talking about the high road than actually taking it once something happens in this game that pisses them off (which, invariably will be 5 minutes after logging in)? This community is a psychologist's wet dream.
The frustration you feel today is the same that your opponent felt yesterday. These posts that go beyond passive-aggressive and are just downright hostile just make playing the game that much worse.

We are people with emotions, egos, and memories. Can DC honestly expect AD *not* to get all pissed off after literally taking every single objective such that there was zero point gain?
Precisely, that's why I don't complain about zerging. That's a universal constant and while I prefer smaller fights, there is something delightfully chaotic about two giant 40+ groups clashing on each other ("group" being used loosely here to describe the number of people in play, not that people are coordinated or stacking on each other).
This thread was supposed to be making light of the meteor spam, nothing more.
