I wonder if I'm alone to think about it, but I start to wonder if the RPG player of the traditionnal Elders Scroll are not currently winning ? Let me explain. When this game started there were two opposite point of view inside forum.
One, the MMO fan who were looking for something new to play were wondering about the game and how it will evolve into an MMORPG, while the traditionnal Elder's Scroll fan were currently trying to catch up with the MMO mecanic and were most likely wondering about the lore, and the feeling they would get, wondering if they could actually be playing at the next normal Elder's scroll game.
Those two were radically oppose in their point of view, while some were finding the game hard to adapt to, I was for my own currently finding the mecanic easy to, even simple.
Nowaday the game has evolve, two new dlc pop-up and I'm wondering... do the rpg side win over the mmo side. And that question is quite serious since a LOT of aspect which would be AWFULL in any mmo had been neglected while we get message on twitter that we added over 100 000 thousand line in VO...
So first question ! Am I alone to believe that Zenimax is going too far pushing into the rpg side of their game ? (Btw Star Wars !)
Second question... which will actually be a comment.
Please Zenimax we know it's actually hard to deal with every aspect of a game, and I think every player who love this game is giving you credit and show patience. But you really need to kick out the rpg side of the franchise to focus on how this capacity you give player to interact together could be best serve into TESO. I say so because you use to fix thing. We use to get patch, but nowaday it's like if you were giving the rpg side of thing all the ressource in order to developpe something ... that is actually useless because we all know that isn't what makes a great MMO, no matter how good you are.
It's brutal but it's true, you got a bunch of stuff to work on, upgrade the itemization to vr16 for cyrodill and trial ! Upgrade Craglorn so it stays the only real end-game zone, if you're not currently looking for a new one ! Try to create a meaningfull progression, let us know where we are heading... are we going to stick to discovering the world and the lore you created or are we actually going to enter an adventure ! Try looking at Pop progression (EQ) if you wonder what I mean.
You need to tell the head that he's actually creating too many leg and that he needs to focus on giving a direction !
My 2 cents.
