Ridiculously foolish drop rate in dungeons

I did more then 100 vet Darkshade Cavern runs and didn't get even single Engine Guardian helmet. And sometimes it tooks like 7-10 runs in a row without any decent loot for any group member (no helmets, and even no useless purple vr14 set gear for anyone). So I wonder, did ZOS reduced drop rate in dungeons? Because it's not fun at all, I dont want to play in a Korean MMO with endless grind and vanishing chances to get that damn helm which can be drop with worthless "well fitted" trait, if it even drop someday...

And yes, I heard rumors about next big patch where we will get possibility to buy monster helmets for alliance points, but I dont like and not playing pvp at all, so 1 million ap is fantastically unattainable for me (I'm in this game almost from the launch and my highest pvp rank is recruit grade 1).

Im looking for it also so feel ur pain. Though i only done bout 20 runs trying for V16 Helm. I already wear V12 helm but its medium. I dont know if i can handle many more runs just in Hope that i get helm

@maxetro you can also buy the Monster Masks with gold, they will be expensive though.

I don't think they reduced the droprates, their rng has always been wonky at best. Furthermore it seems some people are just better with it than others - everywhere, and some are just unlucky everywhere(like me and I guess you

) It looks as though the rng is character based though, my non-main characters seem to have more luck overall.

I feel your pain though...I'm using v12 heavy well-fitted EG helmet when I use the set and I'm NOT farming again. 300+ runs for a heavy back then was enough.

I got an engine guardian helm (reinforced tho) after 5 runs. 2 of my group mates also got a helm during those runs. I don't think anything has changed. RNG just still is a b*tch :^)

It's RNG, pure and simple. I have exactly one Bogdan helm that I had gotten almost half a year ago. And I've never missed a vet pledge on any of my toons, and often do multiple runs on each toon because I'm helping others get their dailies, yet despite all those runs of vEH, I have just one helm to show for it. In contrast, I have ten Engine Guardian helms, and while I have run vDSC more often than I have vEH, I most certainly have not run it anywhere close to 10x more.

Also, I absolutely hate the idea of this AP/gold monster set vendor. Yes, the RNG system sucks and needs to be fixed, but the correct solution is a per-dungeon token system, not an AP/gold vendor (wrong kind of token) on a convoluted schedule with random inventory (seriously, WTF?).
