Must say I am suprised at the maturity on server as a new player

I logged into Azura? is it??... last night for first time on NA an was helped out by many people within minutes of getting to the city. Was offered free stuff if I joined a guild (said no thanks as I dont like being handed everything). ALl in all it was really surprising an welcome after so many years with *** retentive teenage racists spewing filth all day long.

PVPers really like trying to help one another out for the most part. Getting people interested in PVP helps us, and us helping new players also allows us to try to get people on the right path to being really effective in battle. So it's generally a win/win for existing vets and new players alike.

My experience is that (most) PvP'ers are very helpful and friendly. Even other alliances will give tips on how to counter their attacks (after they beat you to a pulp) or share build tips.

Of course there are always dip weeds around, but they are the minority.

Welcome to Cyrodiil and enjoy your stay.

Your megaserver is NA as you stated in your main post :)

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

If you're PC on the NA server, the Stonefalls zone chat is pretty much the most wretched hive of scum and villainy you'll find. And even there it's only bad periodically these days. A year or so ago zone chat in Stonefalls was more or less toxic 100% of the time - today it's much more occasional trolling and immaturity.

Well not true look at WoW it is over 10 year old and the still "trolls" and still very immature chat and community in that game and serious ESO is that old it is on it 3 year or maybe i should 2 year only mate

But ESO is populated with a lot of TES fans who are playing TES since more than a decade and their teen years are long gone.

If you want to remain positive about the maturity of the ESO community, then get away from this forum immediately! :D

Seriously though, the community is very good overall. Lots of friendly and generous people around. But the forum does tend to have a disproportionate number of toxic individuals.

Glad to hear you had a pleasant experience in Cyrodiil. Yeah, for the most part PVPers are pretty well-mannered and eager to help. It's when you go into the beginner cities like Daggerfall, for example, where things get... weird.

I find that we PvPers tend to be the most friendly and inclusive communities, especially if you join a "Hardcore" PvP guild. We look out for each other, and support each other when others needs help. I think this stems from the fact that we are all well aware of the fact that our content requires each other, and therefore most of us respect each other and try to make them stay.

In my two years plus of playing ESO, I've never been told I was "Not good enough" by any PvP player. The first time I was teabagged was in a PvE dungeon. We don't care if you do 10% less damage than another player. In the end, all that really matters if that we have a good fight that is enjoyable on all sides. Every single player who can lift a blade or invoke a spell is welcome to fight.

"Your worm is your only emperor for diet. We fat all creatures else to fat us, and we fat ourselves for maggots. Your fat king and your lean beggar is but variable service—two dishes, but to one table. That’s the end."
    - Hamlet

Well, seeing as you are new to Cyrodiil, perhaps I could be of service? I wrote this to help newer players accustom themselves to Cyrodilic battles

Insanity is the price of Knowledge. Herma-Mora and Sheogorath, this one bows before thee.

This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.

Well, what can you expect from cartoony childish game, at least Im not surprised at all, if thats the case. Launches are always bad usually it takes 2 year to get better community. This is the very reason why ESO forum was added later after launch, I think it was the right move. If I was to launch MMORPG, I'd add forum like 1-2 month after launch, or anyway it was stealth-added.

Zone chat in the starter zones can be pretty icky, but everywhere else it's been rather mature and helpful. I like that about the player base.

The only reason Azuras chat is getting cleared up is cause the toxic guilds such as [you know who you are >:/ leave Haderus] have moved from Azuras and infested Haderus cause 2 weeks ago Haderus was fun and nice now it's toxic and just full of AP farmers and idiots and of course zergs.
