Tank tactics for COA Vet

Im looking for some Tank tips please on how to beat that dam Titan in this dung. I couldnt do it last time and want to try tonight again so need some advice pls

If you could describe the problems you are having I could give more exact advice. I'm trying to make this sound as non arrogant as possible but there is not much to his fight, you keep agro on him and then when the flame air atros show up you take them as well and dps just burns down the boss.

To make it easier for you try and walk around with the agro so to not stand to close to the air atros. But other than that it seems like your dps's are letting you down.

Ideally, the tank taunts boss and atronachs and just kites them around while the DPS burns the boss down ASAP while ignoring the adds. Ranged taunt is essential here. Harness Magicka (morph of light armor skill) helps with the fire. If you keep having trouble, you could ask the DPS to kill the atronachs to take that pressure off of you, but the DPS should be able to burn down the boss fast enough that this doesn't become an issue (esp. if you hope to beat Skoria with just three platforms).

I have never used Ranged taunt there *shrugs* but then again I try to use it as little as I can all the time, probably easier with it I guess, but completely doable without it. But yea if you need to kill the air atronachs you are gonna have a lot more problems with Skoria.

I didnt get around to trying the Dung again as been busy with RL but yeah i think i tried kiting the adds last time was there. Ive never used Harness Magika before? Does it make a real difference with that dam fire ha?

Any damage shield that protects against magicka based attacks will do. Like Igneous shield from the DK skill line Earthen Heart. You never stated what class you were but I use that all the time and since it scales of my Max HP its really nice. Its also cheaper than Harness Magicka.

Are you doing it at V16? You might need more mitigation in the form of damage shields and high resistance, as previous poster said. Everything from the titan hurts like hell at v16.

Couple of thoughts:

1. You can easily dodgeroll the Titans first attack ability (where he shoots a single ball of fire at you), to negate its effects.
2. When he rains fire down from the air to the ground, you want to avoid the "big" circles, the smaller ones are not really a problem.
3. Range taunt the Air Atronachs with inner fire. Because ouch if you ger too close.
4. None of this matters if dps is low. You should not have to hold the two air attnoachs for more than 10 seconds. If you do, dps is a bit low.

Yeah soz im a Dk Tank and will use Igneous shield. I was doing it at V14 many months ago so havent even tried V16 yet ha but if adds are only for 10 seconds im sure i could manage that. I will avoid the big red circles nxt time and ignore the smaller ones as i waste lots of stam trying to avoid everything. Great advice from both of yous thank you

Our usual tactics:

- full dps on titan
- using close / range taunt keeping the titan on tank.
- I dodge roll through between his legs behind him when he swipes.
- when the meteors are coming just hold up the shield and move around, also best time to pop magma armor
- air attronachs, tank aggros them, and there comes the chase-phase: keep them moving around, following you, possible away from your group, you have to survive them. templar tosses a shard every now and then on the path of the running tank. team continues burning down the titan. high stam regen on tank helps here, due to a lot of running around, and since tank likely get far from the titan has to use a ranged taunt.
- tank uses heroic slash on enemies for swifter ulti regen
- best ulti here for me is the magma/corrosive armor

Most of the problems coming from teammates dying to the meteors.

As tank you have the biggest problem, when your group does not have enough dps.

When this is the case, you can take out some pressure of the fight, when your DDs DPS down ONE of the Atronachs. You can easily tank the other then while keeping aggro on the titan and the group kills the titan.

With enoug dps take both Atros and kite them in range of about 30-50m around the titan, so that your DDs and Heal have room in this running circle to fight and you dont get away too far. BUT your healer/supporter should be a mobile person not just standing stationary around. When there is enough DPS the Boss should fall about 30 Seconds or at least a Minute after the second Atro appeared. Otherwise try low dps tactic.

Dps need to have around 14/15k dps each to make this easier on you.
Healer just needs to know how to heal, class doesn't matter as long as they can keep you and dps alive.

Start fight by taunting ash titan, stay at a medium range so that he doesnt move around. When he does his fire waves, roll dodge through them. He should spawn the first add quickly after that.

Taunt the add then run to the other side of arena while keeping boss taunt, when the next add comes up - taunt him too. Have magma armor ready in case the dps is just that bad or you go out of range of healer. Make sure to kite too, dont just stand there and take it - they hit hard af.

If you have the taunt of everything and are keeping out of range, you are doing your job and it comes down to the healer and dps at that point. The boss will usually die about 10-15 seconds after the 2nd add pops up. This is with a low dps group.

So its Vet daily today and before i went to work i thought stuff it, lets chance group finder for it. Within 5 mins had a group so off i went. Only in V14 gear i knew it would be hard. Got to the Titan i told my PUG group this is as far as i go but will try me best. We started and within 2 mins i was dead lol, forgot how hard those fire flames he throws hit. I dusted myself off and we went again and boom i nailed it. Tanked him and those adds haha Titan. We finally got to End boss, i only had 15 mins left and after good few deaths we beat him also, but only in norm mode. Still im really happy.. Though i didnt get my skill point as i had to log off so i could get my happy ass to work lol. Did i need to talk to a NPC at end???

Kite the adds in a predictable manner (like clockwise) and let your group know so they can avoid getting in the way.

Yes right at the beginning in veteran, he jumps down from the tree after you kill the 5 tigers at the start.

After you kill Skoria, go through the door to destroy the sigil stone, which will take you back to Tamriel. There, you can complete the dungeon quest.

What is your class, OP? I can give you a few general tips though.

1) Make sure that the boss is facing you and your group is behind his back. He only spits fire in front of him, so that way your group doesn't have to deal with it.

2) Dodge roll fire projectiles if you have enough stamina/stamina regen. If not - dodge what you can. You will be the only one getting them if you position the boss right. If you dodge them - you won't even need heals.

3) When the atros spawn - kite. For that you will need a speed buff and/or some teleport. Don't know what your class is so can't say anything specific.

4) When you kite - make sure you taunt both adds and the boss.

5) If you can survive that, which is okay - it comes with practice, your group will need to kill the adds as they spawn. That way stop dps on the boss untill you kill the first add, then burn, then stop again etc

6) If you are having troubles kiting 2 adds, try killing 1 and kiting the 2nd one.

7) Yes you still can do the hardmode even if you have to kill the adds. It's not always a dps issue

Seems alot of players still find this dung difficult. Went and done about 7 runs on friday night and each run failed big time. The last run my group couldnt even survive to get the adds up on Titan. I dont know what they were doing lol. I will say that every group i was in had yellow players in it and i was the only blue each time. Maybe those yellows need more PVE practice ha
