    Why not just add the damn chat menu to the PS4/Bone and make it cross platform with the PC...not like it is impossible (FINAL FANTASY XIV)

    It would be great if characters were saved in cloud storage and kept in sync between platforms. It would allow me to play on my PC and XBONE. But as it stands, with all the grinding I've done on my XBONE I will never play on PC now. Well, save for logging into PTS to test.

    You can blame Mircosoft on a non unified server. Basically, to publish on the XB1, ZOS needed to make the platforms have their own dedicated server.

    ... Though what with the console certification processes, I doubt many PC players will be too happy about having their patches force-delayed due to consoles. There is already a resentment among the PC playerbase against consoles for the content drought of last year. If they were forced to have their patches delayed because of the consoles, it would be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back.

    This one hails from far Singapore, excuse this one for his high pings. He also apologizes for any formatting/spelling errors, as he tends to answer using a mobile device.

    Insanity is the price of Knowledge. Herma-Mora and Sheogorath, this one bows before thee.

    This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.

    Very true, but on the other hand look what it did for FFXIV. It increased population massively and not a single PC player there says anything negative about it being cross platform anymore.
    All though from my time with FFXIV, It was very rare compared to eso for patches to mess things up, so hotfixes and incremental patches were not needed as much.

    It won't ever happen unless Microsoft change their policies but I'd of loved cross platform, population wise it would of only been a possitive for the game

    I can see myself having to wait 5 min for NPCs in cities to load up because players with vanity issues demanded they take priority in loading over gameplay essential NPCS. it is bad enough on some days without 3 platforms being involved.

    this would be fun but then they would have to either get new servers or do a revamp of the current ones and would be down for some time to implement the change. and would be a huge project that would take a lot of time and resources. which would delay the output of dlc. would it be amazing? yes will it happen? probably not due to the above..

    Care to explain why then PS4 and PC aren't together?

    Or something like why PS4 isn't getting free play weekend or the crown discounts and game discounts?

    Because Zenimax Media Inc. (Read Bethesda) and Microsoft have a relationship together and with that relationship becomes the enforcement of Microsoft parity policies.

    Of course, this relationship has been noted way before ESO and shouldn't be surprising.

    @NewBlacksmurf

    ZOS's contract with Microsoft (It's the same contract for all multi-platform games) states that if any game is published onto the XB1, all versions must be separated and no cross-platform play is allowed. Something to do with wanting to keep the XB1 "exclusive".

    The lack of a PS4 free weekend/crown sale is more due to the fact that there was a crown sale recently (Black Fredas), and it's Sony policy not to allow multiple sales of a game within a short window of time. Hence the lack of a crown sale/free weekend this weekend.

    @ItsRejectz

    Would be interesting to see it happen, but there are a few technical differences between the platforms (Voice vs Text and the fact that most guilds on the PC use Teamspeak 3), and Mircosoft's inane policies.

    I'm sure there is some legal issues preventing it as well...

    Hypothetically If ZOS decided to go to Sony with the proposal to merge ps4 ver. And pc version (and thus making it THE more desirable console version of the game) Microsoft would probably and rightfully be pissed off, I'm sure there is some kind of legal issue that could stem from that regarding fair competition or something idk..

    Either way, Microsoft honestly is to blame.

    I find it very odd that ppl blame Microsoft for ps4/PC cross server stuff

    Yes Xbox would have its own but I read this to suggest that's why ps4 wasn't with PC. Maybe I just read it wrong. No worries
