PC Unable to Connect to Game Server

I was just logged in and playing when I was booted out and, upon attempting to log in again, I received a 301 error. I attempted to submit a support ticket, at which point I was asked to input a new verification code (which I received in email and applied). Subsequently upon login attempts, I'm receiving the "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection."

Please note that I *am* able to log into PTS just fine (I have a template toon there I'd been using for testing); I'm just unable to log in successfully to live.

    Also having this problem.

    Just another way I have yet to play this game a single full day without problems.

    Try this, it works for me

    1. Try to log in, takes a while, cancel out
    2. Try to log in again, get an error message immediately, cancel out
    3. Try to log in a third time and it works.

    Note I do this when I try to login and it takes more than 20 seconds. I call it the Login Triple Step. Now, if your immediately getting an unable to connect to Internet, that might be something different, but I would try a system reboot first, then try to surf to verify Internet, then try again.

    This is happening to me as well. I was in for about 20 minutes, deleted a character, created a new one. Bought the near polar bear mount. Logged out for a short while. Then tried to log back in and get this message as it's trying to load the character screen.

    My son can log into his account just fine. So on his computer I asked him to log out, then we tried to log into my account from his computer and we get the same message trying to load the character screen for my account.

    @Nestor I tried what you suggested and am getting the same error trying to get in. I also received a response from CS telling me that they show me online and in-game already, which isn't the case. Now I am worried that I've been hacked.

    I'm fairly certain they have something wrong in today's patch. I tried the above solution too, no go.

    Not sure how to put a ticket in to CS, can anyone point me to it?

    I also tried the suggestion, in many different ways, with no luck. Tried restarting my PC, and my internet is working normally otherwise. Will open a ticket.

    Was this the character you were on prior to having the issues? The CS response I got was that I was showing online on the character I was playing when I got booted.

    Thanks, I got a ticket placed. My guildies are saying it's showing me online currently in Deshaan on my new level 3 character. Odd one.

    I am not sure if I am showing online, as I had yet to add any friends in this game, but I was online and kicked off before this happened, so maybe it is the same.

    I was in Coldharbor Hollow City picking flowers when I was booted out. Based on the CS response that they saw my last loaded character online, I asked some guidies to look for me there, and they're now saying that they cannot load into Coldharbor at all. I wonder if this is related to my issue.

    I'm stuck at "Requesting Character Load..."

    It just sits there with that little spinning circle.


    My character is in Coldharbor. I bet Coldharbor is down, and they're just not saying anything.

    Wish they would though, info is always nice to share.

    I still cannot log in, and was not in coldharbor when kicked off.

    I cannot even get to the character select.

    I get to character select, and that's as far as I can get. Something's not right.

    I was in Coldharbor collecting a skyshard when it happened to be almost 2 hours ago. I've rebooted, checked internet and done a repair but still getting Cannot connect to server!!!

    Again, Im afraid I was auto-banned or something. ZOS has insane standards for bans.

    I hope not, I cannot imagine what I would have done either, I barely played and didn't even say a word beyond a few emotes to see what they were like.

    That is exactly what is happening to me. Type in password, loading screen and right to error message. :(

    I can log into characters NOT in Coldharbor.

    I still think the Data Store that hold Coldharbor is having troubles.

    I agree but unfortunately for me I cannot even get to the character selection screen.

    I'm in the same boat. Has anyone had any luck getting back in yet? I just tried again, same message, and haven't received an update from CS on the situation.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno would you mind checking into this issue for us?

    So I can log in just fine, but I cannot port to Coldharbour, and am confronted with infinity loading screen instead.

    Sorry for you folks that can't even get in! :(

    I got a reply from my first ticket, pretty much the "if we haven't heard from you we'll assume the matter has been resolved" and then saying they looked at my account and saw no reason why I would be locked out. Hit the reply back so just sitting here waiting to hear back from them.
