Mist Form is bugged

On the video, you will see how Mist Form (itself) combined with Rapid Maneuver wouldn't do what it says on the box. Analyze the video and work out exactly what abilities hit me while I'm Mist-Forming with Retreating Maneuvers active. Although, even without Retreating Maneuvers, Mist Form has become 'Pinata Form.' which isn't reducing your damage taken by 75%, it's more like 20% and you can still be controlled, despite it stating that you can't get controlled.

Before Imperial City with the same combination of abilities, I would only get stopped/semi-stunned by Nightblade's Teleport strike, but now that we're clearly visible and targetable while in Mist Form; it seems that almost every ability with a CC can hit us and effect us, despite being invulnerable to control effects and as well as being immune to snares and immobilization with Retreating Maneuvers, but that's another story -- @ZOS Can you please

Has this been submitted to the "known issues and bugs" thread? Problem with that tooltip is it has been lying for a long time. You were always able to root people in mist with talons. That would count as a control effect I think.

maybe invulnerability to control effects means only hard cc, and every other snare/root can still stop you xd

@Kammakazi at first I was a little unsure if it really was bugged or not, because I just felt it was whenever I used it and left it alone but a week or so later, I just had to record it because it was confusing me and becoming a joke.

Hey still haven't addressed the issue of it not mitigating the full damage from it that Asgari tested and posted about.

Wow, so it's also not mitigating 75% of damage? I felt like I was taking way too much damage in Mist Form too, so that's interesting to find out that it's not working properly in that way, either.

I was testing it out today while using Mist Form in zergs just to see how much damage I can take and it felt like I took way more damage than before IC. I was being trained like crazy while mist form was up. I am starting to wonder if it's even worth being a Vampire anymore. Hmm

You are getting rooted by someone hitting you with a charge attack, the root is applied when the player begins their charge animation, so it doesnt seem like they are hitting you with anything.

But yes, i agree that mistform in its current state is pitiful.

I've always been under the assumption that roots (such as talons) could stop someone in mist form and unless they roll dodged out and broke mist form, then they would have to sit there until it wore off. I thought it only prevented hard CC's.

Now that you can toggle someone in mist form you're going to take a lot more damage. Before, the only damage you could do to someone in mist form was an aoe or damage that was initiated before you entered mist form. Now, I can stampede you over and over again if I'd like to.

Does it also feel like the major expedition buff on mistform doesn't always work anymore? Sometimes I don't feel like I'm moving much quicker, vs. on my other char when I cast major expedition buff through other skills.

Again, I haven't tested it, just a feeling I've had over the past 2-3 days where I've actually played my vamp since the patch.

@Fruity_Ninja I know it may sound like I'm just jumping on the 'agree train' because it's Mist Form-related, but I think you're right. That's another thing I've picked up on too but I didn't address it because I weren't sure, so now that I've seen you bring it up... yeah. I do feel slower, it definitely doesn't feel like 40% speed.

I've also noticed that there is no 40% speed, popped whilst in a group and never overtake anyone!

Yeah in the IC sewers when I use Mist Form, I go slower than my Rapid Maneuvers buff, without sprinting also.

I've also noticed that your Magic regen stops working while in mist form... for no apparent reason. It only states that healing won't work. So not only are you totally trackable, controllable, and vulnerable while in mist form, you don't even regen magic for when you come out of mist form. Completely broken. I enjoy the regen, stealth, and supposed dmg reduction of being a vampire... but honestly it seems so broken that I may have to give it up until the day, if ever, it gets fixed.

Retreating Maneuvers removes snares that are on you; if you get put into combat and someone snares you again you will be snared again and have to recast Rapids. That's the intended way for it to work.

The tooltip clearly states that magicka regen stops while the ability is active.

Also to the OP, you actually weren't rooted per se in the video. It was the numerous Crit Charges and ambushes you took. Back a few patched they gave all gap closers a "mini root" to prevent issues with latency and what not. You notice this with Crit Crit charge more than any other ability since it's really the only one that's doesn't have some sort of CC tied to it. Thus while retreating was up you were still being immobilized.

Yup. I keep getting CCed in Mist Form in Cyrodiil, so much so that I've dropped it from my bar.
