U know what. I don't think they'll make Auction Houses. I hope they're allow bigger guild. like 1000 members each
500 is too few
I like the current system because it's a game for itself. I understand that's not for everyone, but I like playing that game.
Also, this system is probably the biggest money sink in game. Thanks to the bidding system, tens of millions of gold vanish from the economy every week. Without this, we'd have an incredible inflation.

You put an item up for sale in Wayrest, and it can only be bought from kiosks in Stormhaven; however, you can only put up 15 items for sale and the auction house takes a larger cut. This isn't so much different from the guild system, but it might satisfy all those people who don't want to be in a trading guild.

There are other ways to offer gold sink in the game. This is not a valid argument for support of a broken system that becomes more and more a waste of time to find items you want to purchase.
The other day I spent well over 1 hour porting around to numerous Traders to find (1) green recipe so I could make food for the Orsinium writs. I spent at least 2 hours looting and stealing trying to get them all so having to waste another hour running around Tamriel to find (1) recipe to finish my search is frustrating and unnecessary.

This is exactly the reason why so many pople don't want an AH.

I think this is a fair complaint. While guild traders (and hopefullly auctioneers) bring personality into the game, they also require some micromanagement. I think a compromise could be helpful: guild traders and auctioneers with better search settings and slots for search settings. On PC there are really great addons for this, but on consoles the menues are painful to use: Having to adjust ALL search settings again and again for each visited trader on consoles is not fun, it is pure work. Please remove this tedious work from the game, ZOS, and make visiting traders (and hopefullly auctioneers) more enjoyable and faster with better search settings and SS slots.Ninnghizhidda wrote: »"Micromanagement" is the word I can use for the current "system". Some people like it, fair enough. Personally I don't, have too little time
For many players (especially those who play casually) time is a very precious thing and should not be wasted on tedious mundane tasks as selling items to other players. With the current system one could spend countless days and hours finding the right trading guilds to even have a chance at selling their items.
Then the flip side.... the ESO buying mini game. If you are in need of a less common item and your trading guilds do not have them you get to play the traveling buying game and spend countless hours (at times) traveling Tamriel searching numerous stores for said item.
Now if you are a trading guild there is the asinine system of blind bidding to acquire a high traffic guild trader and you get to do this every 7 days!!!!
The system is broken and frustrating for many. It is tolerated because there is no other option, but it is not loved.
The other element that I think many don't account for, is that the Guild system is a Gold sink for ZoS. Bids for Guild Trader Outposts are in 7 figures on a weekly basis (for certain areas). In TamrielsTraders we bid in 6 figures for ours and lost him this week(and on a side note, we are happy for people to come join the guild - we are pretty chilled and more about the community
- see my Sig for link...)
I won't go into the whole why an AH should or should not be implemented as I've been there, done that, but the only reason anyone has for wanting an AH is that "they can not be bothered to travel around looking and want everything immediately at their finger tips without having to do anything".
People scream and shout about Lore, but I don;t remember there ever being an Amazon in Tamriel?

This system looks nice on paper and has the feel for how the time would have been. Different guilds all over the world selling and you have to go there for the price. This system is just fine on PC because you guys have adons (stuff not meant to be in the game might I add) where you can find different locations of items and their prices.
ZOS designed the game to allow addons so it IS intended to be in the game. If ZOS does not want an addon function in the game they wouldn't allow for the LUA and API
Lets take Ancient orc chest motif as example- takes you guys 10 minutes total to find it and get to it for the cheapest price possible. Now lets explore me as a ps4 user looking for the same item.
I start in whatever city I am in search every Guild Trader there and fine none. Now I sit in a 5 minute load screen search another area none in that area then another 5 minute load screen I find one but it is way more then I would want to pay so I have to search another location. I repeat this process until I finally find one for a reasonable price and I buy it but not I just spent 3 hours running around on all traders until I found one.
I don't know about you all on pc if you didn't have the addon but to me this doesn't feel fun. I just wasted all that time not even enjoying playing a game but if we had an AH I could do what you guys do on PC search the exact item I want and buy it taking me all of 10mins.
So again if you guys have the addon and they wont release an addon for us ps4 users why should I have to waste my entire night because you guys are okay with the current system where you can basically cheat to save yourself time and a lot of money?

Unfortunately, this is only a minority of players.
For the rest of players the system works bad.
The rich are getting richer, the poor ... you know.
Solution: Have one daily auctioneer in each of the three capitals for everbody.
ZOS could adapt the auctioneer's percentage at any time to adapt to inflation.
Both systems (guild trader and auctioneer) could work simultaneously:
1. People could buy at any time from a guild trader.
2. People could bid at any time for the "auctioneer's daily" auctions.
The best offers for the auctioneer's dailies would win at midnight.
Smart people would probably sell their stuff on the weekend dailies.
