Still it doesn't bother me too much if someone else does it. Personally, I'd like the option to just make a few more characters, at the very least enough to make 1 of each race: Imperial, Nord, Argonian, Dunmer, Breton, Redguard, Orc, Altmer, Bosmer, Khajiit.
@dodgehopper_ESO I completely agree with you. Race change is a cop out and just feeds to the FOTM. Create more character slots instead. ESO is constantly changing and so is the meta, so why pay actual money for some meta (that's what race change is all about essentially) that will eventually change in the future? Basically your real money is going to waste. Unfortunately most people are short-sighted and never look into the long term ramifications of changes.
...that's still called "making an alt"...It should be at least 5000 crowns + all achievements, dyes etc wiped, and character reset to level 1 in the Coldharbour prison
Race change is actually more lore-conform then profession "change". Yeah, it would be more logical for people to stop training as one profession and start training in another, but "change", as in, "forgetting all they learned in the original profession so far" is not. And since dual classes would be opening a huge can of worms in the "cherry-pick a super-effective combination" department, and a nightmare to balance, I don't really see that happening...There should be no option for race change. Profession change? Yes, but not race.
Just recoll....
The amount of time whining on here... You could be vet 16 by now.
I hope it never comes. Games need consequences for choices. People should do research before just hopping in.
This will cater to FOTM builds. It's a silly idea tp be fair.
They're getting rid of VR. Just wait for that. Then you just need to get to 50, which takes like 3/4 days. Reroll won't be an issue

How can players reasearch what gets nerfed changed revamped every update much less for vet players how can you research something that hasn't been done yet for us early launchers. Info to research was vague and scarce during launch on pc and many realize mistakes made in the beginning.

Race abilities haven't changed that much.
Of course you can research. Just make a character, check the passives...
Race change would just mean everyone is the same race. Whatever race sypher would suggest as best for one of his new builds, everyone would just switch to that

That wouldn't be TES anymore... the lore always had racial advantages in this field or another. It makes sense too, sometimes this little thing called evolution and a bit of selective breening makes for differences... a family generations living in skyrim will by nature tend to be better able to deal with cold as some altmer from sunny summerset isle. A argonian with vestigal webbed toes might have an edge in swimming contests. Mer blood helps with magica mainipulation. et cetera.dodgehopper_ESO wrote: »I think instead of race change, it would be better if the constellation/champion system along with an intelligent set of softcaps actually allowed all races to be more or less on equal footing with all purposes...
They already said it's coming... So all you lore hugging kids that don't want Zos to make any money can stop.
It shouldn't bother you one bit if someone wants to change their race in a game where every class can be stamina or magicka and there are races that specialize in stamina and magicka, while being limited to 8 character slots

Not regrinding all the achievements and crafting research.I don't really want to see anything that permanently alters a players stats in the crown store. I'll tell you what I told the guy looking for a class change - roll a new character, because it's going to be a hell of a lot quicker than waiting for something that might not be coming.
