Indeed it has. And then got sidetracked like everything else when they diverted all resources to the console release. You may have noticed how many of the other things promised a year ago were released only now - Imperial City, Wrothgar/Orsinium... so, chances are good character recustomization will finally come... I you go there as a were wolf you should be able to change the fur and tattoos

They hire a guy to do beards?
They could probably use his resources elsewhere
I hope you realize that almost all of that year was spent in finalizing the console version, not in making new content. It was the consoles that ZOS expected to be their bread and butter, not PC, so it was important to make console launch their priority. Since that occurred in June, they've made great progress at making decent changes to the game and bringing us TWO DLCs with an expectation of a new DLC every three months, along with adding fixes, improvements and other new things along the way.

(caution - may have unintendtional side effects if imbued by those of the female persuasion)If the game has stayed subscription powered, that's how it would have been.If they don't change it to offer a limited time free edit after creation, then I think any option implemented should not be restricted to crowns only. I don't think it would be that hard to put in an NPC that would just take you back to your saved creation screen and let you edit the existing options (which would cost gold, of course).
But as often mentioned, that ship has sailed and sunk a long time ago.
Now its different, and they need to make their profit through the crown store, so all of that will almost certainly be crown-powered. After all, they need to pay their employees, server upkeep and show enough of a profit that the suits in charge don't pull the plug...Indeed it has. Yeah. Barber is one of those thing where I totally don't mind if it's CS only. I actually think it should be.

But seriously, there's a whole GIANT thread ZOS themselves made asking people what sorts of things they want in the Crown Store and precious few of them have been done. Many requests for polymorphs and skins that would be super easy for them to do. The whole "change your character" thing...code is already there so why isn't that a thing yet since players have been begging for it since launch?
We have access to the character editor when we create our character so give us that same editor again through an NPC in a shop except without the ability to choose our name, race or class.
It's really damned simple to implement when you think about it.

Almost all players can make an alt to max lvl 50. So, I don't find a need to buy it.
A lot of people would pay a few crowns to try out new custmization options for their existing characters instead of leveling a new one from 0 .SerenaAnastasia wrote: »Please Zos fix the body types, shorter legs with long torso looks kind of weird...
Absolutely. Also, female running animations.

Sure. Heard that one before. Its all coming soon. Im yet to see an MMO that lived up to the hype and dev promises. First thing I noticed coming back after a year - it takes me 4 attempts to actually log in. Every solo instance - lag and DC after a few minutes. Its like they took a step back instead of moving forward in some regards.

Actually I think that would be a great idea, to have several "animation styles" available! Go with the standard, or switch to the "shy librarian" animation style, or go with the "gruff veteran" style, or take the "extra-sensual" selection instead, or maybe the "carefree trickster" style...MornaBaine wrote: »SO here's something else the crown store could make a pretty penny on.... new walk/run animations!!! 'Cause right now... they look downright uncomfortable!

Not sure why you're having these problems, I've never had log-in problems and rarely have lag or DC in solo instances.

I know I'd buy that for a handful of crowns!

...why am I thinking of paintbrush style mustaches when I read this? Ah, probably just my paranoia...Frantastick wrote: »Put a side parted hairstyle please. Just a simple short hair side part, thanks...
Agreed. Hair styles that fit the game world? Definitely! Spiked neon punk mowhawks? No thanks (native american style mohawks on the other hand...)I'm all for more hairstyles being available via the crown store and/or Quests/Guilds.
So long as they aren't ridiculous looking and out of place...
Weeeeellllll... have you seen some of the "classic dunmer hairstyles" from TES:Morrowind?? Rather close to some anime styles...(please Zeni don't add anime hair, please)
Once we have recustomization features, I really hope they won't just sell more options, but tie some to achievements as well. Prison Tatoos or whip scars for justice system achievements! Cultural hairstyles and makeups/adornments for regional achievements! Warpaints for PvP achievements!Maybe even work a few customization's into achievements like dyes.
